The story was well written and very thought provoking. I had a hard time putting it down. I did however, have problems with the app continuously shutting down, but I would just reopened the app, find my place again and keep reading. Nothing was going to keep me from finishing this book! I have not had any issues with the app yet. I usually read what is considered to be "Literature" such as Steinbeck, F.S.Fitzgerald, Edgar Allen Poe, etc... Since I am a huge Edgar Allen Poe fan and this app/story was featured on the Poe app, I decided to give it a try. Technical aspects of the app are simple. Font size cannot be changed and the screen cannot be rotated. I like the background behind the text, it adds to the mood of the story. What a waste of money. The characters are one dimensional, the plot is predictable with no suspense. The book felt to adolecent as if I was reading a GooseBumps novel. It may have been better if it were a comic book. The plot is a repeat of many concepts and stories that have been done already. And, SFTD certainly deserves that. However both the book and the app need more work. The book: Needs an editor. Everything from spelling and grammar to plot and structure could benefit from attention to the details. The app: Crashed repeatedly (if I was not so interested to read where the author was going with the story I would have deleted the app after the first dozen crashes) That the story was written 2+ years ago indicates that the author has moved on from this project. And, no further editing will be done. But, a recent update to the app indicates he/she may still be involved. Now playing the waiting game isn't much fun. And I, being an extremely fast reader, actually had to slow down and read this book. And oh my god, it is one of the best books I read. I read it in a psychological sense and I certainly spent a good month on this book. The only bit of critique I can give is the fact that some words are misplaced but that makes it no less of a great piece, just evident that it isn't so much professional literature as it is intended for a decent story on a mobile device. The overall concept was creative and amazing and opened my mind up certainly more than I expected. It depressed me at first, but like the story, everything was resolved in such sweet simplicity.
