## What is Symphonie SongBook?

Symphonie SongBook helps musicians and bands organize their repertoire for rehearsals and live performances. Changing the song on the leader's device lets the other band members display the corresponding lyrics and chords.

LYRICS, CHORDS AND SETLISTS
Keep songs with chords alongside your own PDFs and images. Build setlists, arrange song order and move quickly to the next song on stage.

PORTRAIT AND LANDSCAPE
Use your phone or tablet in either orientation. The landscape layout places the repertoire beside the current song, with compact controls and more space for lyrics. Pinch with two fingers to resize song text. Save PDF zoom separately for portrait and landscape.

PLAY TOGETHER IN A SYNC ROOM
Connect your band's devices in a room and synchronize the displayed song. To send setlists, select an available user and the lists you want to share. The recipient confirms the import. Setlist transfer preserves names and song order; missing songs can be sent separately through song synchronization. Connected devices must run the latest app version.

TOOLS FOR REHEARSAL AND STAGE
Use the metronome, tuner, chord reference and MC materials. Customize the appearance, language and text size to suit your needs.

No account is required. Device synchronization requires a room connection and the appropriate nearby communication permissions.

GOOGLE DRIVE BACKUP
Optionally connect your Google account from Home or Songs. Added and edited songs, lyrics with chords, PDFs and images are backed up automatically while the app is open and online. You can also back up your existing library and restore on another device using the same Google account. Access covers only files used by Symphonie, not your entire Drive. Core app features do not require Google sign-in.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.12 — 2026-10-11

New in MC: share topics with notes, dedications and announcements with selected room members. The share button is next to the text-size controls. Sending the same topic again updates its content instead of creating a duplicate. Attached PDFs and images can also be sent. Added instructions for sending a dedication from a phone to a device on stage. Both devices need the latest app version and must be connected to the same room.

### 1.3.11 — 2026-10-10

New: optional automatic Google Drive song backups, including lyrics with chords, PDFs and images. Connect from Home or Songs and restore on another device using the same Google account. Backup runs while the app is open and online. Now Playing opens the first song on your initial visit. Faster switching between Now Playing and MC mode, smoother searching, improved section and chord-field editing, and better keyboard handling.

### 1.3.9 — 2026-10-09

Updated navigation: Songs opens a clean library, while Now Playing returns directly to the current song and preserves its setlist context. The top-bar Back button has been removed. Improved song switching and the performance of the live song list. Search and filters reset when leaving the library. The keyboard is easier to dismiss on iOS, including when adding or editing lyrics.

### 1.3.8 — 2026-10-07

Improved responsiveness when receiving songs in a Sync room, especially large PDFs and images. Transfer verification now runs in smaller steps, and received attachments are saved as local files to reduce memory usage and UI stalls.

### 1.3.7 — 2026-10-04

Faster song switching and transposition, smoother song lists, and direct return to the last open song. Improved PDF zoom with separate saved portrait and landscape views, refined phone and tablet layouts, setlist sharing in Sync rooms, and more reliable Android-iOS connections.
