### 5/5 — I want to pay for the upgrade!

*2024-12-15*

I am desperate to start using this app, it looks like exactly what I need but I need to be able to track more than five symptoms and I’m getting an error message when I try to upgrade! Please HELP!!!!!

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2024-12-10*

Really thought it might be the
‘One’ nope, can’t add more than 5 symptoms on the free part… yet doesn’t even let me purchase the upgraded part, just comes up with ‘transaction fail’

### 2/5 — Seems abandoned, broken features

*2024-10-09*

After updating to iOS 18.0.1, the search option for text entries no longer functions and crashes the app if you click it a second time. I primarily use the journal section rather than the checkboxes, so this app is now worthless for reviewing past symptoms. Even when it worked you couldn’t see the entry year in the search, which was already causing me trouble. I see that the last update was 5 years ago, so I assume this is a dead app. At least the csv export still works.

### 4/5 — Transaction Failed - Unable to load product ‘error’

*2024-10-01*

This seems like a great app! I am struggling with finding information on the paid version of the app and how to process it. When I try to upgrade my subscription, it tells me that it is unable to load the product. Help?

### 4/5 — Excellent for MY symptoms and tracking…

*2024-07-27*

…but abysmal for summaries.

### 4/5 — Good but can’t update

*2024-07-01*

I find the app really easy to use, however, I wanted to add more symptoms but I get an error every time I try to upgrade it

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2024-02-28*

Fantastic app, simple in the best way and does what it does super well.

Only complaint is that it isn’t being updated with new features.

### 3/5 — Not For Me - Too Involved

*2023-03-08*

I am sure this tracker is great for the right person tracking a health issue that aligns with it. Mine does not as I found it more involved than I expected. I am using it at this point only as a medical journal which gives a nice PDF to share. My main issue that I cannot understand is how the journal entries in the PDF only show the date it was entered, not the calendar date it’s associated with. This is a major issue for me
so I have to start every journal entry with a date or I may not know what date it’s associated with (not clear to me the use case it fills for how it functions now). I don’t always remember to log it during the day it occurs. Please make a fix for this. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Best pain and mood tracker in the store.

*2023-01-20, version 2.1.16*

Don’t bother looking elsewhere unless told by your doc. This app allows you to log and even create new pain and mood types, rate those by severity, and keep notes. No cutesy crap, no cartoon animals just a solid tool that you can customize and track mood and pain issues. You could likely use this to track other things. It even pulls data from Health. The only thing that could make it better is if it had a feature to add meds taken that also logs them to Apple Health, or at least pull in meds from Apple Health for the day you log symptoms. Either way, you guys saved me from writing my own app! Although, I’m still considering doing one in Gtk on Linux. Thanks for this!

### 2/5 — Silly

*2023-01-11, version 2.1.16*

This app uses predefined symptoms that aren’t great if you have even a basic understanding of medical terminology. They also have duplicate words that mean the same thing, such as “anxiety” and “nervous.” It’s just sloppy to me. Let me enter my own symptoms and use the actual words used in medicine rather than things like “grouchy.” Annoying app that has lots of limitations.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.1.16 — 2019-07-10

UPDATE HAIKU:
See the firefly
That sneaked past the screen door and
Into the kitchen?

_______________________________

Another bug fix, this one caught by longtime friends of the app, Yael and Swan (as well many new friends). Thank you!

### 2.1.15 — 2019-06-06

UPDATE HAIKU
Time...it does pass by,
Though a bug tried to stop it.
But that's been fixed now.

_______________________________

Just a fix for that time-period bug that so, so, so many of you found, reported AND beta tested for us! Thank you all!

### 2.1.14 — 2019-05-13

UPDATE HAIKU
Why change the logo
When what we had worked so well?
Because we must grow.
_______________________________

I continue to push Symple in a new direction. My goal is to evolve Symple from a symptom diary (what clinicians call a problem list) into a comprehensive personal health record. Right now, most personal health records don't ask much of us. Confirm our date of birth, maybe our native language and smoking status. If we're lucky, we can download our test results. But we have something to offer! No one knows our history as well as we do. We just need a way to tell it.

We need to do the work BEFORE we get sick, BEFORE for our next clinical encounter, or right after. As you engage with Symple in your daily life (dealing with food sensitivities, experimenting with meditation, monitoring a new medication), you begin. Small questions answered over time. Soon you will have a document that can tell your story on demand...maybe even better than you can!

Because once those clinic doors swing open and we pass through, our focus will be on other things.

With this build, we added a new intro animation, a few more elements from Apple Health and dealt with a few bugs. Nothing huge, but a declarative statement all the same.

### 2.1.13 — 2019-04-10

UPDATE HAIKU
Freed from the shackles
Of an arbitrary work
Flow that did not flow.

_______________________________

Down with alphabetically sorted lists! Custom sorting is one of our most requested features, and one we introduced several years ago with disastrous results. That was then. This is now. And this time...we nailed it!

With this update, we bring custom sorting of symptoms and factors. Yep, you can group your symptoms and factors together however you want.

But THAT'S NOT ALL!

You can also assign a category to custom symptoms and factors...and edit the definition for any symptom. Unlock all these magical powers by simply touching the "Edit" button at the bottom of the settings screen.

While we were at it, we continued to streamline the code base, update the App Review workflow and squash a few minor bugs.

If you enjoy using Symple®, please take a moment to leave us a review. And PLEASE...drop us a line with your feature requests or bug reports.

Thank you, Symple community!

### 2.1.12 — 2019-03-21

UPDATE HAIKU
Words are history.
A small ripple in the tide.
Is this meaningful?
_______________________________

With this update, we *finally* squash a sneaky bug in the Journal. The clue came from Shelley, who caught the crash on a screen recording. With that evidence, we identified that the crash only happened on specific devices using a particular type of force touch AND certain accessibility features enabled! We were never able to reproduce the bug that Swan and other folks reported because we couldn't figure out the exact conditions to provoke the crash! Hooray for SCREEN RECORDINGS!!

While fixing the bug in the Journal, we also were able to deliver on one of our most often requested features - search. Now you can search through your journal history by keyword.

A special thank you to Eva, Marlon, Siobhan, Swan & Jay for beta testing and sharing your feedback. I think I might have missed someone, my apologies. I was on spring break with the family and doing my work from my iPhone (Anthony and Alyona, I promise not to do that again).

If you enjoy using Symple®, please take a moment to leave us a review. And PLEASE...drop us a line with your feature requests or bug reports.

Thank you, Symple community!
