### 4/5 — Transaction Failed - Unable to load product ‘error’

*2024-10-01*

This seems like a great app! I am struggling with finding information on the paid version of the app and how to process it. When I try to upgrade my subscription, it tells me that it is unable to load the product. Help?

### 4/5 — Excellent for MY symptoms and tracking…

*2024-07-27*

…but abysmal for summaries.

### 4/5 — Good but can’t update

*2024-07-01*

I find the app really easy to use, however, I wanted to add more symptoms but I get an error every time I try to upgrade it

### 3/5 — Not For Me - Too Involved

*2023-03-08*

I am sure this tracker is great for the right person tracking a health issue that aligns with it. Mine does not as I found it more involved than I expected. I am using it at this point only as a medical journal which gives a nice PDF to share. My main issue that I cannot understand is how the journal entries in the PDF only show the date it was entered, not the calendar date it’s associated with. This is a major issue for me
so I have to start every journal entry with a date or I may not know what date it’s associated with (not clear to me the use case it fills for how it functions now). I don’t always remember to log it during the day it occurs. Please make a fix for this. Thanks!

### 4/5 — The Doctors Report Will Not Download

*2022-10-18, version 2.1.16*

I love this app. It helps so much. The tracking is easy. The features are great. However, recently when I try to download the Doctors Report the app just freezes and closes. Can we please fix this?

### 3/5 — Doctors report crashes app & other bugs

*2022-09-19, version 2.1.16*

I do like the app. It’s much easier to use than many. I did pay for the upgrade before realizing the last update was years ago. There are bugs to be fixed in the current version. Sometimes I have to go to the calendar part to get it to move to the current day otherwise it’s stuck on yesterday and you can only go back. The doctors report crashes the app and I’m not impressed with the csv download. I want something easy to look at that I can hand over to the doctor.

### 4/5 — Two frustrations

*2022-09-12, version 2.1.16*

I like the app but two things getting in the way. When i enter a “factor” i t assumes it occurred at the time i enter it rather than letting me select a time or select nite an mid or pm like the symptom options. (Would also be nice if i can enter intensity). Thats decreasing the accuracy of data because the time stamp of factors is wrong.

Second its not letting me enter symptoms at 2 am!

Please keep supporting old operating system versions if you do make updated.

### 4/5 — Written by people who understand pain

*2022-07-25, version 2.1.16*

I have chronic pain spanning multiple conditions. This app allows so much customization and detail oriented tracking.

The only bugs I noticed were minimal.
1 - opening the app didn’t switch from “yesterday” to “today”.
2 - data export to excel is hard to read. Could be arranged to be more easily understood by doctors

Thank you to the design and dev team who built this life changing app. Seriously.

### 4/5 — Photos won’t Upload

*2022-04-14, version 2.1.16*

I enjoy the app, but it won’t let me upload pictures.

### 4/5 — Great but 1 huge problem

*2021-11-06, version 2.1.16*

Please add the option to make a custom symptom. I have a few symptoms that aren’t listed

### 2/5 — Languishing without updates

*2021-08-29*

This used to be so promising, but it seems like abandonware these days. Hasn’t had an update in 2 years.

### 4/5 — Overall worth the purchase

*2021-05-11, version 2.1.16*

Yes, you can use a free version, but the number of things you can track is limited in the free version. If you are concerned about your health and want to track symptoms to help with diagnosing or managing conditions, this app is great. Very easy to use and easy to add or create new symptoms or factors to track. My one con with this app is that if you take photos and log them in this app in the photo section, you cannot delete them from your phone’s camera roll. If you delete them from the camera roll they automatically are removed from the app. Learned this the hard way, but early on so I don’t make that mistake again.

### 4/5 — Mostly all in one for my needs

*2021-03-30, version 2.1.16*

I love adding photos and the ease of marking symptoms based on time of day. The only item missing for me is adding my food tracking. My have a sensitive digestive system, and many of my symptoms are related unfortunately. Otherwise I love this app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2024-12-10*

Really thought it might be the
‘One’ nope, can’t add more than 5 symptoms on the free part… yet doesn’t even let me purchase the upgraded part, just comes up with ‘transaction fail’

### 1/5 — Awful

*2022-04-05, version 2.1.16*

Awful. A statement in their own FAQs sums it up: “THAT DOCTOR'S REPORT IS LAME. ARE YOU WORKING ON THAT, OR WHAT?

We have big, fancy, expensive plans! But for now, use it to help you remember what you felt and for how long. Also, use the journal to build a list of questions as they arise. Let the Doctor's Report help you have a more effective conversation with your doctor. Print and bring it to your next visit”

That was from the last build TWO YEARS AGO!! The only reason I purchased this app was to have a decent report with a day by day list of symptoms and qualifiers to give to my doctor. If I’d wanted to just give her a list of questions I’d have used the FREE notepad app on my phone. Or (now imagine this) written it down with a pen and paper!

Another thing: there’s no coinciding web site (that I could find) that will let you sign in for easier data entry and printing of the useless information.

I can’t imagine how this app has supposedly gotten so many stellar reviews. This is the first app that has ever ticked me off enough to even write a review; and yes, I realize that’s what many write in their reviews but it’s the truth.

Don’t waste your money.

And if I haven’t convinced you by now, do yourself a favor and check out the free version first.

### 1/5 — Pretty useless

*2021-10-16*

The doctors report is useless. All it gives you is a 30 day and a 7 day average of symptoms. It doesn’t generate a graph that shows how your symptoms were on each day throughout the period selected, with factors noted on each day so you can see how the factor effected the symptoms. I’m really not sure how the report would be of any benefit to a doctor.

### 1/5 — Looks Good, But Totally Useless

*2020-07-05, version 2.1.16*

I need to track pain on different sides of the body, different limbs, different parts of the abdomen. I must know which kidney is hurting this time, for instance. I guess I'm back to locating and opening a document each time I have symptoms I need to remember. :(

### 1/5 — Wouldn’t recommend

*2020-06-17*

Just downloaded the app to see if it was suitable, here are some first impressions:

The first thing the app requires you to do is to scroll through a list of hundreds of symptoms to select up to 5 you’d like to track. Here’s why that’s not suitable: for someone who requires this app, scrolling through irrelevant symptoms makes you feel terrible. You might not know which applies to you. You might see symptoms you didn’t know you had. There’s no search, so if you wanted to add “leg pain” you literally have to scroll around to find it.

Secondly, in order to connect to Apple Health where all of this could be recorded, you have to go hunting for the setting. It’s not provided by default.

Lastly, immediately after selecting symptoms you’re prompted to upgrade with an in app purchase, before you even have a chance to see what’s going on.

One more thing: interface looks unfamiliar and customized, it’s hard to know what does what. I deleted the app.

**Developer response:** Thanks for asking a few questions, and I hope this helps:

I'm sorry we get you started with that long list...we should make it easier to search and we will!

Apple Health is something you have to switch on, we can't switch it on automatically. That's against Apple's privacy rules (and by the way, we totally support those privacy rules!)

Re: upgrade...oof...that's not supposed to happen. Of course, you should be able to fool around with the app before deciding whether to upgrade. I'm on it!

### 1/5 — Thanks for hating disabled people !

*2019-03-23, version 2.1.12*

It is disgusting that you have to pay for more symptoms to track. I already pay more than my weight in pure gold in medical bills to treat all of my symptoms, and you practically fine people for being ill.
I understand things take money, I do not expect this to be a wholly free app, but perhaps think harder about what you are putting a price on.

### 2/5 — Seems abandoned, broken features

*2024-10-09*

After updating to iOS 18.0.1, the search option for text entries no longer functions and crashes the app if you click it a second time. I primarily use the journal section rather than the checkboxes, so this app is now worthless for reviewing past symptoms. Even when it worked you couldn’t see the entry year in the search, which was already causing me trouble. I see that the last update was 5 years ago, so I assume this is a dead app. At least the csv export still works.

### 2/5 — Silly

*2023-01-11, version 2.1.16*

This app uses predefined symptoms that aren’t great if you have even a basic understanding of medical terminology. They also have duplicate words that mean the same thing, such as “anxiety” and “nervous.” It’s just sloppy to me. Let me enter my own symptoms and use the actual words used in medicine rather than things like “grouchy.” Annoying app that has lots of limitations.

### 2/5 — Good but not great

*2022-11-23, version 2.1.16*

Good apps for tracking how I’m feeling at different times of the day. Good capability to customize the symptoms and factors
Unfortunately the User Interface is very buggy. Quite often I tap on items and nothing happens on the screen

### 2/5 — Lacking basic features

*2022-03-05*

- cannot edit time when filing or editing factors
- factors have categories, but they’re not grouped by them when filing

It’s TOO simple to be useful.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I want to pay for the upgrade!

*2024-12-15*

I am desperate to start using this app, it looks like exactly what I need but I need to be able to track more than five symptoms and I’m getting an error message when I try to upgrade! Please HELP!!!!!

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2024-02-28*

Fantastic app, simple in the best way and does what it does super well.

Only complaint is that it isn’t being updated with new features.

### 5/5 — Best pain and mood tracker in the store.

*2023-01-20, version 2.1.16*

Don’t bother looking elsewhere unless told by your doc. This app allows you to log and even create new pain and mood types, rate those by severity, and keep notes. No cutesy crap, no cartoon animals just a solid tool that you can customize and track mood and pain issues. You could likely use this to track other things. It even pulls data from Health. The only thing that could make it better is if it had a feature to add meds taken that also logs them to Apple Health, or at least pull in meds from Apple Health for the day you log symptoms. Either way, you guys saved me from writing my own app! Although, I’m still considering doing one in Gtk on Linux. Thanks for this!

### 5/5 — Great, simple way of tracking symptoms and keeping a journal at that moment.

*2022-12-26, version 2.1.16*

Great app

### 5/5 — The very best symptom tracker

*2022-10-17, version 2.1.16*

I tried a zillion of them—I could never get one that supported the exact symptoms I have, until Symple. Yes, I had to add custom symptoms, but they are treated like others. I also LOVE how easy it is to log symptoms! This app has made my life so much better.

### 5/5 — Very useful

*2022-09-16*

I really love this app and use it every day to track my symptoms. I have also recommended it to friends and family members. It is so simple and intuitive to use. Easy to record multiple symptoms each day.

### 5/5 — Effective! Value for money

*2022-09-08, version 2.1.16*

The free ver allows you to track 5 symptoms- I quickly paid the $8-$9 one time cost; all other trackers were many times more and often subscriptions.

This IS simple. Daily tracking: Symptoms, Factors, and I LOVE the journal where I can make notes of my day you pick none-difficult on a grid for am-mid-pm, and I’m quickly seeing the daytime pattern.

Symptoms have a nice green to red color scheme.

custom symptoms and factors: I added symptoms “executive function deficit” and a few others and chose multiple versions of fatigue, drowsiness, low energy and find they are different. I also created a “sleep quality” symptom so I could rank my nights
Custom factors: a few things needed adding: Eg they had late bedtime but not early waking: no prob, created custom

All very clean and easy!!

### 5/5 — Best tracking app I have used

*2021-11-17*

Simple, easy to customise, easy to use and I love the journal feature. I recommend spending the money and getting the full version.

### 5/5 — So close to being THE only app needed

*2021-08-10*

I’ve used a few symptom/health tracking apps over the years, but none of them quite does the perfect job. Symple has been a good addition, even if not perfect. I love that the premium version offers so many different symptoms to choose from, as well as the ability to add your own; same for factors that may influence stmptoms. However, it doesn’t quite capture the whole picture. My issues relate a lot to digestion and food intolerances, so I still use the Cara app, as it charts bowel movements better, and allows me to track the food I’ve eaten. One other drawback to Symple is that even though it breaks down symptom tracking into different quarters of the day, there’s no actual timestamp. So for example, if I mark down that I have nausea in the morning, it’s hard to know whether that started before or after breakfast. As well, if I have a headache in the morning that also goes away in the morning, there’s no way to mark that there was both a symptom and not in the same six hour period. That said, I do like that each symptom has a continuum of severity. I will keep this app for now, even though it means I’m now using two apps to get a full picture of my health.

### 5/5 — Exactly what I needed

*2021-05-26, version 2.1.16*

Easy to use. Easy to customize. Place for notes. I tried a couple others first. One cost $50 and was comprehensive but too cumbersome—took half a day to get started and would’ve been too much work every day. The second was inexpensive but too limited—no place for notes, no way to customize. This one cost less than $10 and did everything I needed, plus the setup was easy.
