Worst UI ever, totally unintuitive. I’ve been struggling with this for days, especially with my meds. I thought I had finally gotten them all in yesterday, and assigned to groups so I would only get one reminder, not one for each - but today I found that only a few were showing up, and *every single one* was turned off, coded as ended. On the bright side, it does sync some things *somehow* with Apple Health. It has 90 gazillion things it will track, including all kinds of esoteric medications supplements, and activities. It automatically tracks things like weatherly and promises the ability to integrate every bit of the data to find any possible influences on your symptoms. There isn’t even a help section or manual to help you know where to start and figure it all out. The app has so much potential, but it’s just too complicated to set up and use, so I’m afraid I have to delete it. They also tried to charge my card for it even though I thought I canceled the trial in time. Fortunately, my bank flagged the charge as fraudulent, but then they paid it when they sent the charge through again, so now I’m entangled in a dispute. **Developer response:** Hello, Thanks for your review. We do have a help section that is quite comprehensive on the more screen that you can use for issues such as above. You may setup one reminder for medications or individual ones. Syncing as of now happens during check-ins but in the next release will start to take place in the background as well. The drop down list are suggestions for meds or supplements based on what you type, you do not need to select them though we do try to suggest relevant and personalized suggestions for every tracker we have. Apple is responsible for all billing and handling, it’s not us ‘trying’ to bill you. Please contact us or Apple if you’d like us to cancel your account or subscription, we’d be happy to help. Very clunky hope to get date ranges Not intuitive. Add a daily med and suddenly you are changing its universal set up. Changing a date on an entry is tedious. Since I do not log every day this is more than annoying. Very sensitive scroll bars and check boxes. Many times have to enter multiple times to get it right. Many times during entry screen just flicks back. Happens frequently and on multiple versions. Supported reported it was fixed. I suspect I will stick with less good symptom tracking app which has much better food database. ### 3/5 — Somewhat puzzling to set up *2023-03-08, version 1.430* Very comprehensive. Does a lot. But really needs an interface and usability update. ### 5/5 — App for Endometriosis *2023-02-01, version 1.430* This is such a great app. Wow it is so in depth. You can use the free 7 day trial to see if you like it. Honestly, you can use this free, but it will pop up with a lot of “upgrade now” so that is annoying. But honestly it’s better to pay for it because it has a lot to offer. You can see any correlations / patterns for your symptoms. I use this for endometriosis, which I haven’t actually been diagnosed yet, but this will help me keep all my symptoms in check. I love this. Better than a period app because if you don’t have a period, like me, then all a period app tells you is “you’re 650 days late.” Which is super annoying. Try it! ### 1/5 — Not yet fit for purpose *2022-08-26, version 1.0* This could be a good product if it recorded things correctly but it doesn’t. It frequently inputs factors in the wrong date and even if you tried to delete it multiple times it stays there. It also cannot sync exercise categories from Apple health and will say you’ve done about 20 different exercises in one day. This product is full of bugs and should’ve not been put up for sale yet. I regret purchasing the pro version. ### 2/5 — Loses Data after 1st Week *2022-08-19* Lost all data after a week (trial ended and automatically rolled over/charged for the app). All my notes, data, records lost. Took A LOT of work to set up the app. Very disappointed. THE ISSUE HERE IS THAT ALL THE LOGGING IS GONE!!!! DATA DISAPPEARED!!! I wanted to continue using the app BUT RISK LOSING ALL DATA… AGAIN??? I need my data!!! I’m sure like everyone else who purchased the app, that’s the intention of using it!!!! **Developer response:** Hello, there are many things that could have happened Olivia. You may have created multiple care plans and aren't viewing the correct plan. Secondly you may be viewing data in Logs with filters on or for another plan here as well. Different age, symptoms, all info was different. So I deleted my account and now it won’t let me make a new one. I already paid for a year and now can’t use it. Sent an email and waiting to here back. **Developer response:** Each account is isolated with independent encryption, so cross-account data access is not something that can occur with how the system is built. Please reach out to support@careclinic.io with your account details and we can get your access and subscription sorted out. ### 1/5 — Not for me *2026-03-02, version 8.2* Free trial didn’t let me add more than 4 symptoms. Constantly tried to make me sign up even though I already had. Kept badgering me about allowing notifications. Hated the stupid emojis. ### 1/5 — Impossible to try without signing up for trial *2026-01-20* The app simply will NOT let you try it for free without signing up for its trial. It pops up the suggestion you sign up for the trial at least once during onboarding (which can be canceled using the “X” in the upper right of the screen), but once onboarding is completed, it displays the Home Screen for only about a second before sliding in the “Sign Up for Trial” screen again but this time withOUT the possibility of tapping “X” to clear it out of the way in order to actually try out using the app. And, yes, you can likely cancel the trial (even immediately) but this shouldn’t be REQUIRED. This and the repeated UI/UX Design elements that urge you to sign up combined with their “support” webpage being ad-supported just screams “we’re going to take your money from you whether you like it or not”! This erodes my trust in this app and this developer before I even get a chance to try the app! And, that’s the last thing you want to do with an app that is involved with my Personal Health Information! No, thank you! **Developer response:** The app is fully usable after dismissing the trial prompt, which can be closed during onboarding. No payment or trial signup is required to explore core symptom tracking features. Dark Patterns & Hostile to Users *2025-12-30* They allow you to “skip” the free trial, take all of your personal information, and then make it impossible to delete your account without first agreeing to the auto-renewal free trial. Yuck. This app and these developers should not be trusted with your personal information. **Developer response:** Account deletion is available directly in the app settings and does not require subscribing to anything. If you're running into a specific issue, reach out to support@careclinic.io and we can walk you through it. ### 1/5 — High-pressure sales & non-functional free trial *2024-12-01, version 1.9* I thought this app showed promise of customizability, ease, and flexibility that I needed. Unfortunately, the app’s high-pressure sales tactics (like not allowing access to premium features during the free trial) and manipulation (appealing to emotion, “don’t you want to get better”-type prompts if you decline the upgrade subscription) make it obvious that their priority is to profit off of marginalized and disproportionately poor communities. I was not able to test out the features of the app, but I absolutely don’t recommend it. --- Here is the feedback I gave when I deactivated my account: Apparently, I am not allowed to use the premium features if I’m on the free trial. Any time I try to use one, I get a pop-up selling me on the subscription that I already have. I assume that this is because you want me to keep auto-renew turned on to increase the chances that I’ll forget to cancel before you charge me for a full year. Your pop-up prompts to exit that sales screen are intentionally confusing and manipulative. Really unethical pressure sales tactics, especially considering that your target audience is chronically ill people. I wish I had been able to actually use your app, but it was impossible. It seems that you have very little faith in the quality of your service if these are the strategies you think it requires. --- I got two different versions of a pop-up when I would click exit on their subscription sales screen (only one at a time, thankfully). The first was titled “Enhance Your Wellness” and said “Upgrade for personalized health insights. Secure access.” with two options: “Basic path”, “Enhanced journey” The first was titled “Unlock Health Potential” and said “Join others improving well-being. Risk-free upgrade.” with two options: “I’m fine”, “Explore potential” I just don’t think that those are accessible enough ways to say “Would you like to buy a CA$60/year subscription? No / Yes”. The developers know that they target a population that is more prone to confusion, difficulty thinking/processing, short-term memory issues, etc., and is desperate to improve their health (often fighting against systems that should be helping but aren’t). The developers are intentionally using high-pressure and manipulation tactics targeted at chronically ill people. I think it’s gross. --- The deactivation process also left a bitter taste in my mouth. I confirmed I wanted to deactivate my account, then selected the reason why (other), then I get a prompt with “Customer support can help you with this issue. Would you like to contact support instead?” It seems like that prompt shows up no matter which reason I select, including “Too expensive” and “Don’t use it”. ### 1/5 — Hidden fees *2024-09-08* Hidden fees **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We’re here to help! ### 1/5 — Does not work *2023-09-14, version 1.52* I downloaded this app with high hopes. I couldn’t get past the start. I gave my date of birth and then when selecting what I need it for most, it keeps giving me errors and auto sending me to the App Store for another app review. This is not an ad popping up and accidentally clicking it.. it comes up after answering one of the apps questions to get started. I uninstalled it, and then tried again.. I cannot get past this stage, to even see the app working in full. Very disappointed. ### 1/5 — Free trial setup not working *2023-09-02* The concept is great. I've been looking for an app to track diet, symptoms, and vitals all in one. I can't get past page 2 of the setup. It just says “There is some issue while creating your plan.” Skip doesn't work. There's no back button. I forced it closed then tried a different option on page one and got the same message. The developer’s email isn't listed, hence this review. So I am hoping I can get through to them this way, so I can utilize my free trial. You don’t even need to be a UX designer to see how obnoxious and annoying it is. Some people just lack common sense… **Developer response:** Hello, Thanks for your review. The reason you may see a paywall initially is so you have the option of upgrading and experiencing all functionality from the get go. You are free to skip it and use the app for free forever. Thank you. ### 1/5 — Waste of a download- no support *2023-04-29* First feature I tried to use (delete a medication) didn’t work. Found recommended solution in faq didn’t work. Nowhere can I find a place to contact for support. If click app help goes to advertisement. Then clinical support. Same for developer site listed here. Using it for tracking my migraine attacks to find correlations with weather and or food or drop in blood sugar. It’s starting to find very interesting data that I’ll definitely be sharing with my doctor— tools literally helping me get my life back. ### 5/5 — It’s worth it *2024-11-05* I’ve only just downloaded this and while there are added fees to it, it seems to be extremely useful. I suffer from more than one autoimmune disease, along with other symptoms that seem to plague me. I also suffer from depression and anxiety that I am told comes with my conditions. This app has made its easier to keep all of the necessary symptoms and information on one place that is easily accessible.
