This was at one point a useful app, but you keep making changes that make it worse. Examples are a few versions ago where the peak and off peak rates were switched around so the data was incorrect. The latest update no longer show the charge cost. Navigation is worse that previously and general usability is also worse. Please fully test updates before releasing them as it’s annoying and makes people seriously consider dumping the charger to get something with a better user experience. There’s no excuse for sloppy coding. ### 1/5 — Stop making bad updates!! *2025-10-07, version 3.96.0* Why do you keep updating the app and making it worse? Latest version doesn’t show the active charge session it’s absolutely appalling. Seriously considering changing the charger as fed up of the terrible updates. ### 1/5 — Poor *2025-09-13, version 3.57.1* Still buggy 4yrs on and latest update still prompts for payment EVERYTIME you open app. Seriously? Does anyone test it before realise? Submitted support email telling this weeks ago and another update sent out and still the same bug. ### 1/5 — Terrible update *2025-08-24* The latest update installed 1 day ago has created a complete mess. The home page is now all small and you cannot see all the text and functions - eg Boost button is missing. Also need to deactivate the request to add payment information to account every time we log in. I use the charger at home and do not use this function. Please fix your awful update. ### 4/5 — Payment Information *2025-08-19* Works fine but who on earth made the decision to allow it to ask for payment information every time you open the app? ### 1/5 — Poor app turned to rubbish :( *2025-07-30* Had the app for home charging for three years now, never the best but it worked. Now, since an update app will only start on payment page demanding you set up a card - it’s a home charger you know! Charge data now incomplete and v. difficult to find - it’s a home charger Sync ev, that’s what you sell it as! ### 1/5 — Sonos levels of app redesign *2025-07-29* Been using Sync EV charger for nearly 3 years. Never really had any issues with the App, it did what it had to. However the recent redesign has now crippled the charging history view which I use often. For some unknown reason someone thought it would be good if it only uses the bottom third of the screen to show a scrollable list of previous charges. Also changing the history period from 30 days to all time doesn’t do anything, it still only shows a maximum of 30 days of charges! ### 1/5 — Useless App *2025-07-18* This App has never been great. However, whatever they have just done to ‘fix bugs’ has created a worse App than it was before they started. Scheduled time and Dynamic Charging function is useless, as it tells me charging is scheduled for the cheaper rate…but in reality it has actually already started charging the car at the expensive rate. If you haven’t already bought a Sync Ev charger I would seriously consider choosing a different brand. ### 3/5 — Poor stats update *2025-07-14* Recently I’ve found that charging stats are either missing or logged with the wrong date. This is not consistent, however. A charge done on 30th April never showed up on the app, and a charge last night (12th May) is listed as having happened on 5th May! This makes the logging of stats pretty pointless.
