Not much different than simply downloading your pics . What the heck it free. I wouldn't pay a dime for this app. ### 3/5 — Paid confusion *2014-12-19, version 3.1.3* If you use Smug Mug a lot and need to show galleries of your work offsite on your iPhone or iPad this is an easy tool for downloading specific galleries. Setup requires a SmugMug account and trusting this app with your credentials. Interface forces you to login and setting sync setup. Unclear if I can administer my account (like delete images) or just view images. I like the ability to specify quality (image size) in what I store locally. I hope future versions work in making it a friendlier setup, add info or YouTube link on how to best use app. If you could let clients take a URL link and download images on their end I think you'd have a bigger market than just admin owners. ### 2/5 — App Support Page *2013-05-19, version 2.2.0* Am I the only one that can't seem to find the "AppSupport" on this APP. Please make sure that you cannot continue to zoom out, once the image is completely visible. And there is a graphic bug, when you click on a thumbnail (the whole row lights up). Thanks, Jan ### 2/5 — Disappointed *2011-05-09, version 1.3.7* After, admittedly, only a short trial with this app, I find it irritating and not what I had hoped for. The overview of each gallery is an untidy list of thumbnails down the side of the screen and enlarging them defaults to filling the screen thus cropping off vital elements of the pics. I assumed a simple change of preference settings would change this, but I can't find any! If I am missing something obvious I apologise but for the moment I won't be using this app. ### 1/5 — The photos do not show *2011-03-02, version 1.3.5* I chose wich galleries I want to so sync, but after syncing there's no pictures on it. I wanted to try this app and over all it works good. As the developer noted there is a glitch with the show captions and show filenames - so I kept those options turned off and it worked fine. Overall the app is nice, I wish it had a bit more polish to the interface but it works. Developer was responsive to my inquires to him about the app which was nice. LIKES Like being able to download galleries in the different resolution sizes to either quickly download a gallery or not. Like being able to re-download just one image in a gallery to a larger size instead of the whole gallery. LIke the way the thumbnails are displayed for a gallery - allows you to quickly get to a particular image quickly. Scrolling is fast. Photos looks great in the app You can swipe up/down or left/right to get to next or previous photo DISLIKES Can't see that there is a way to delete a gallery from the app if you no longer want it on your ipad - there is a way - it's just not the easy swipe method. Wished the galleries you've downloaded could be sorta alphabetically - instead of the order you downloaded them - over time things looks disorganized. When captions are turned on - if you have HTML code in the description - all of that HTML code is also shown and the text runs off the page instead of wrapping. Wished there was a way to more quickly return to the home page - instead of tapping back on the menu items repeatedly. Now the sorting function was added and I am totally happy. The GUI might need a bit of an upgrade too but for me that is not a major issue. Selectable galleries, selectable download sizes. Slightly awkward but fully functional interface and menu options. Need to share somewhere? Copy to camera roll from the app, and you are off to the races. Need to upload something? Use Smugmug's own camera awesome. Tempted to give 4 stars due to the ho-hum interface. But the app is free, without ads, not from the corporate site owner, and is recently updated. It displays the photos so nicely and they are all on the iPad, rather than having to wait for each pic to download. The app also allows you to zoom on the photo, unlike SmugWallet that is an iPhone; which doesn't zoom.
