## What is SYNCopated?

SYNCopated is the comprehensive, interactive online piano learning system that brings together the benefits of remote learning and the invaluable guidance of a real teacher. It's built for the way teachers and students actually work together.

When you start a lesson, the score, your MIDI keyboard, your voice, and your hands-cam all flow between devices with almost no delay. You can draw on the score and your student sees it live. You can play a phrase and the notes light up on their screen. You can clip a spare phone as a hands cam and it just works — no extra accounts, no fiddling.

FOR TEACHERS
• Persistent rooms — one per student or ensemble, or a sandbox room when you just need a space to play. Everything you teach lives inside the room.
• Your own library of scores. Upload PDFs or MusicXML, organise into folders, attach specific scores to a specific room so your beginner doesn't see your advanced material.
• Bundled classical samples (Bach, Beethoven, Field) ship with the app — ready to teach from on day one, plus a curated public-domain library.
• In-lesson exercises — note and chord identification, scales, finger drills, and ear training, tracked over time.
• Assignments with due dates, pushed to students. Optionally link a recorded take for review.
• Week-by-week lesson plans and daily practice plans; template rooms — build your curriculum once, clone it for every new student.
• Group lessons — several students in one room, with per-student mute and spotlight.
• Lock student controls (piano, mic, camera, annotations, more) when explaining — keeps young students focused.
• A teacher-side feedback inbox: when a student submits a recorded take, you get a push, then a player with a scrubber and notes you can anchor to the exact moment.
• AI-drafted lesson summaries and note/fingering suggestions on-device.
• A family plan — one account shares a monthly pool of lesson minutes across the household.

FOR STUDENTS
• Join by link, QR, code, or a push from the teacher.
• Record a section of your piece and submit it for review; see the teacher's notes anchored to the exact bar.
• Practise between lessons in your own private practice room — pieces, drills and a daily plan.
• Request a cancellation with a reason; the teacher approves or denies and you're notified either way.

FOR THE DEVICE
• Sign in with Apple. No passwords. Delete your account any time.
• Scheduled lessons sync to your iOS Calendar.
• Physical MIDI keyboards (USB or Bluetooth) just work; a phone used as a hands-cam won't sleep mid-lesson.

PRIVACY
• Audio and video are streamed, not recorded.
• Your data is scoped to your Apple ID. No third-party trackers, no ads.
• AI suggestions run on-device; nothing about your lessons leaves your iPad for anyone's AI to learn from.

PRICING
• SYNCopated is free to use today. Importing sheet music from photos or PDFs is included during an introductory period. Paid plans — with a free trial — are on the way, and we'll always show you the price clearly before anything is charged. No surprises.

SYNCopated is a focused tool, not a platform. Just what you need to teach and learn piano with someone on the other end of a lesson.
