### 2/5 — has potential if you fix these issues:

*2026-02-10, version 2020*

this app could be much more popular if it fixes these problems: first of all, it is REALLY laggy and makes using this app hard to use. second, it has no custom color option! you are given a very little amount of colors. third, there is no other brush options! you only get one brush. fourth, the "infinite zoom" is ok, but it's also very limited unlike other apps like Endless Paper. basically, this app is very limited and needs updating. And now for the people who want an infinite zoom drawing app, try endless paper, it does cost $10.00 but its better than struggling with this app and its lags.

### 4/5 — It’s good but….neeeeeeds more colors and tools like a blender

*2022-12-03, version 2020*

Blender

### 4/5 — Great app with one fatal flaw

*2019-02-20, version 6.0.8*

This app does such a great job mimicking use of a whiteboard. I love the colors available and the line sizes, and how user friendly it is.
The fatal flaw: I won't let me connect my Apple Pencil, so when I write on it, my palm constantly makes marks on my screen that I have to erase. It takes up extra time and I wish that it was fully comparable with apple iPads.

### 4/5 — Just needs ability to use shapes!

*2018-11-21, version 6.0.8*

I love the free hand draw but my squares and circles just look a bit sloppy :-|

### 2/5 — Poor pencil support

*2018-04-06, version 6.0.4*

I want to write beautiful zoomable math, but all I get with my Apple Pencil is jagged lines.

### 2/5 — Shared editing doesn't work

*2014-02-27, version 4.2*

Tried it for 30 minutes with a business partner. Big waste of time.

### 2/5 — Will not work with airserver or Apple TV

*2014-01-15, version 4.2*

I love the capabilities of this app, but am very disappointed that it will not show on an external display. I want to use this in my science class for students to create drawings and diagrams but need to be able to model the app for the class. Please fix this!

### 4/5 — Great! But...

*2013-12-15, version 4.2*

Awesome app, perfect for me because I needed large diagrams and this app has infinite workspace. A couple issues though, I can't find the "navigation" button (the button that allows you to navigate with one finger instead of 2). This maybe a bug? I'm using iPhone 5 with iOS 7.0.3. Also no basic shapes/stencils like circle/square outlines etc but on the plus side you can draw one, and then copy it and use it as a sort of stamp.
All in all, money well spent. Once the bugs are sorted and more editing features are added this could really be a world class app

### 2/5 — Useful but too buggy

*2013-06-04, version 3.0.1*

I use this app heavily, because there's nothing else quite like it. If there was, I would switch in an instant. The app crashes constantly. Rooms corrupt and require the app to be deleted and reinstalled, which destroys access to the existing rooms. Syncing to the server is sporadic and unpredictable. If this worked it would be the single most useful tool I use for my job, teaching online. As it is, I search for a replacement daily.

### 4/5 — Good but could be GREAT

*2013-04-15, version 3.0.1*

The app could be "smoother" I hope the developers realize that if people pay this much for an app they expect it to improve over time. = Updates! Also, an in app audio chat would make this better.

Pros: does what it says
          Nice design
          Simple
          Great for group work

Cons: buggy and unresponsive at time
           Pricy
           Needs updating

### 3/5 — Disappointing

*2013-03-06, version 3.0.1*

Has potential, and some good ideas, but needs work. Looks good (including a catchy app icon), but lacks attention to functional details and is buggy. For example, text (which is tiny and not sizable) jumps around when editing and Internet sharing is unreliable (works most of the time, but not always). Only half the icons rotate properly and requires too many taps when drawing. It's not a bad app, and it does produce nice drawings, but for $8 it isn't reliable and easy-to-use. Best suited for sharing drawings or prototyping by a team, not so much for whiteboarding in meetings or classrooms.

### 2/5 — Ruined

*2012-12-18, version 3.0.0*

Line thickness now varies with zoom, which makes app useless for me. Start drawing with line weight selected, then zoom out and start drawing again.. Line weight now very thin. Zoom out some more and line weight now very thick. Hopeless. It was perfect before. Why change it?

### 4/5 — one way?

*2012-10-20, version 2.5.0*

It looks good but apparently when I am sharing with somebody on PC they could not participate in drawing - just watch. This is one major shortcoming as in collaborative sessions you could not expect everybody to have an iPad. Besides that it looks good.

### 2/5 — Still searching

*2012-09-19, version 2.0.2*

I'm employed as a network engineer and bought this application to allow for remote whiteboard sessions. Unfortunately I'm still searching for something to fill this void because syncspace doesn't work to an acceptable standard.

My main gripe is the poor execution of the primary purpose of this app - sharing a whiteboard. Latency was poor, large amounts of sketching would take 5-10 seconds to appear, losing context with my audio. Dropouts are frequent, requiring users to refresh their browser. Having multiple whiteboards would often result in the incorrect whiteboard being shown, regardless of which whiteboard you have selected. No IE8 support (I'm in enterprise here, SOE says IE8)

Zoom control as a viewer is terrible, either too far in or too far out. Movement around the whiteboard as a web viewer is nearly totally broken, on the iPad is flawed, requiring a two finger pseudo zoom, or the movement keys which are equivalent to a page-up. Zooming changes the thickness of your marker, leading to lots of varying thicknesses in your drawing because it's hard to zoom to precise levels. Irritating behavior with landscape detection resulting in sideways menus.

I did like the infinite canvas because it allowed for huge diagrams, the interface is a little clunky but workable. Drawing options like colors was fine for my requirements, probably a little light on for a real sketch. No shapes or text support.

Overall the app is a good idea marred by a poor implementation. Price was fair for a working app but too high considering the flaws.

### 4/5 — Awkward/Buggy Zoom & Picture Dragging/Magnification

*2012-07-22, version 2.0.1*

The only problem is that Whenever the I zoom by pinching the screen (like the previous version) it immediately zooms all the way. If you keep on smooth ending the zooming capacity of this app, I will definitely recommend this app to my friends. I would also add that dragging and manipulating pictures is not that smooth either. Whenever I enlarge/move/rotate pictures, I have difficulty making symmetrical or straight arrangements. The results are usually messy or lopsided. Please fix these issues. I have been generous by rating this app with four stars,

### 1/5 — Terrible App

*2022-10-16, version 2020*

Palm rejection is crap, os not compatible with apple pen, like come on!, is a drawing app and when you are drawing with apple pen it still taking your fingers as pens…
Not recommended, not even free.

### 1/5 — Failed to meet basic needs

*2020-09-21, version 2020*

the eraser didn’t work -it just drew more. i couldn’t use the app

### 1/5 — Kept crashing

*2020-03-24, version 6.0.9*

As soon as I clicked over the collaborate button the app crashed. I’m sorry, on that basis, I won’t be investing and I’m out.

Regards
Disappointed Dragon

### 1/5 — Doesn't continue sync if whiteboard tab changed in app

*2018-09-26, version 6.0.4*

Unfortunately, I was disappointed when I tried to add a new whiteboard on my iPad the image on my mac stayed the same even after refreshing.
I hope this will be addressed as I intend to use more than one whiteboard without having to sync again.

### 1/5 — Horrible Handwriting

*2017-12-22, version 5.4*

I’ve become used to the wonderful Apple Pencil+IPad Pro combo and this app DOES NOT live up to those standards. The drawing with the pencil is choppy and clunky. All I wanted was an “infinite whiteboard” for tough math problems. This app as It stands currently is definitely a waste of my money.

### 1/5 — Palm rejection does not work

*2016-12-06, version 5.4*

Palm rejection does not work and marks due figure nails when still using apple pencil.

### 1/5 — Poor quality, pricey

*2014-10-08, version 5.1*

I bought this software as I have to make lots of notes during the day. To have it electronically I bought adonit jot pro which is one of best stylus on market and works fine with many apps. I thought to invest some money to have proper software designed specifically for making notes while sharing screen with my colleague.though this software has serious flaws
1. Palm rejection doesn't work at all
2. Screen sharing has too much leg
3. The sensitivity is much poor than the free softwares available on the app store.
So, eventually waste of lots of money

### 1/5 — Syncing to Campfire does not work

*2012-05-04, version 1.1*

Very disappointed that syncing to Campfire does not work.

### 1/5 — Where is the Landscape Mode?

*2012-04-09, version 1.1*

Simple but decent. I won't use until it allows for screen rotation so device can sit in landscape orientation and accept text. A simple fix.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2011-11-14, version 1.1*

u only see what the other person drew the first time, no live drawing at all!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great for remote tutoring

*2021-02-26, version 2020*

My tutor and I use this app for virtual/remote tutoring sessions. The tutor also has the app and we share a collaborate whiteboard while on a phone call with each other!

### 5/5 — Nicely done, with room to improve

*2019-07-09, version 6.0.8*

This is pretty much what i was hoping to find - an infinite scrolling zooming rotating canvas with text image and freehand drawing.

Will echo desire for Apple Pencil, and have no doubt the developer will deliver eventually.

Wish it had stickers or skins so I could make cuter collaborations :)

### 5/5 — Best iPad Pro App

*2018-10-16, version 6.0.4*

This is the best app ever, seriously. I bougth my iPad Pro just for this app. I would have paid 100$ for syncspace. Plus their customer service is very good and fast (I had a problem once after an iOS update, and they fixed it the day after)

SyncSpace is really an extension of your imagination. As a software designer, I use it to sketch interface mock-ups. As a hobbyist mathematician, I use it for my problem solving. The fact that the canvas is infinite gives you a unique sense of limitless possibilities where you can always fit all your ideas into one page.

Buy this app right now. It will exceed your expectations.

### 5/5 — Would like to see gesture based features.

*2018-09-12, version 6.0.4*

The panning around could be improved upon by incorporating something like three finger gesture where you can move around the canvas if you move it with three fingers instead of selecting the button

### 5/5 — Collaborate productively

*2015-12-01, version 5.4*

This is the most useful collaborative app I have ever used (and I have done extensive study). I look forward to iPad Pro integration and pencil optimization.

### 5/5 — Incredibly useful for brainstorming

*2015-11-20, version 5.4*

I don't know what I'd do without it! Although it does need an update for the iPad pro which I've been assured is coming.

### 5/5 — Awesome app.

*2014-07-04, version 5.0*

Very useful for quickly sketching and sharing ideas with colleagues and friends. I am hoping that Apple will integrate this into their ‘Airdrop’ service (‘Airsketch’?).

### 5/5 — Great!

*2012-06-19, version 2.0.0*

Simple, easy to use with plenty of useful options, and really nice looking app.

### 5/5 — Great remote whiteboard

*2012-06-13, version 2.0.0*

Simple to use. Works well. Love the infinite zoom/pan.
The upgrade is awesome. Usability is well thought out. Can now zoom/pan with 2 fingers. Undo is really handy.

### 5/5 — Great little app

*2012-02-18, version 1.1*

We've been using this app at work to share design ideas. Simple and intuitive and the ability to work at any zoom is really useful.

Your workmates also need this app to be able to edit the same document - but as the app is free I don't really see how this is a problem. And you can always share as PDF.

Many thanks to the developer(s) for making all their hard work available to us for nothing :D
