## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Ugh

*2020-02-15, version 3.0.5*

How do I get my money back?

### 1/5 — Unwelcome Change

*2015-12-22*

I enjoyed the previous version of the game and wish I hadn't updated. Personally, I find the new mechanics take away the pleasure of encountering obscure words as I scroll though the pages and of searching for alternate paths through the semantic web.
It's a very different game now to the one I've enjoyed.

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2015-03-06*

The concept looks really good so I buy the full version and soon as it updated to the full version, the swipe functionality no longer works so the game is essentially broken and unplayable. Waste of money, just install the free one and at least it works. I have given it one star for a strong and interesting game concept but it really deserves none.

### 3/5 — Pretty funish

*2015-12-30*

Sometimes a bit frustrating but fun or meditative - glad profits go to education

### 3/5 — Good game but tough to manage.

*2015-03-11, version 2.0.3*

Once you're in the game, it is good. But it is tough to get into and out of. It gets stuck.

### 4/5 — nice idea

*2015-06-06*

i like it!

### 4/5 — Great game, glitchy challenge mode

*2014-11-30, version 1.3*

This game is great, challenging and fun, definitely makes you think about what words actually mean. I do have to give it a little tough love about the way 'challenge mode' works. The way in which you challenge a friend is lengthy and often has glitches. If the challenge mode was easier to enter into it would add another really fun dimension to the game.

### 4/5 — Good idea but flawed execution

*2014-11-30, version 1.3*

I greatly enjoy playing this game. However, the means of typing in the challenge code is very annoying and the letters often take off uncontrollably. A fun, stimulating game with a frustrating flaw amplified by a tendency to glitch.

### 5/5 — Very good! I love it.

*2015-03-19*

Great job. It's an excellent game if you are interested in improving your English. It is good, specifically for native speakers or anyone who speaks English at an advanced level. Its a perfect game to play before going to sleep since its exciting and boring enough at the same time.

### 5/5 — My Perfect Game

*2015-03-07*

Addictive! Educational! Relaxing! My favourite past time in life!

## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated)

*2014-12-24, version 1.3*

This game will enable me to were more articulate review titles in the future

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2014-12-14, version 1.3*

A brilliant concept, beautifully executed!

### 5/5 — It's Brilliant!

*2014-12-11, version 1.3*

I'm not normally interested in games on iDevices. But Synonymy is like nothing else I've ever seen. It's very simple in concept, but challenging to play. If you love words, you'll love Synonymy. It's brilliant!

### 5/5 — Challenging

*2014-12-10, version 1.3*

A fun, challenging game that is hard to put down.

### 5/5 — Very Good

*2014-12-08*

Only had this for one day but I am hooked. There are various levels of difficulty. I'm still on the easiest and I find that challenging enough. An original idea that makes you think in a different way to other word games.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2014-11-21, version 1.3*

Challenging and stimulating
