Therefore I’m unable to use my skywatcher telescope at all. Please update app for the iPhone 12. Thank you. ### 2/5 — Needs to be reinstalled every session *2024-12-27, version 2.5.2* When it works it works fine, but for some reason if you try to use the app a second time after you finished a first session, it will just not work at all, you go to the star alignment and it will go to a completely wrong area and possible hurt your equipment by trying to make it go below the horizon. I’ve tried the reset alignment button and it just doesn’t do anything So if you got it to work once but not again, I would try to reinstall the app Also the design of the app is very weird, you’d imagine ‘polar scope’ (a critical piece of alignment) would be in alignment but it’s in : Utility, Advanced, Polar Scope ? And of course the aforementioned issue where it fails to completely reset alignment ### 3/5 — Bon app mais des choses a travailler *2024-12-26, version 2.5.2* J’utilise cette app avec mon iPad faute de mieux pour le moment. C’est une bonne app pour utiliser son telescope mais des choses sont à amélioré. Le retournement de merdien ne fonctionne pas par exemple, pas de fonction de binning et une compatibilité limitée avec des apn comme le SonyA7S par exemple. Mais pour débuter sans se prendre la tête et sortir des jolie images ça reste largement potable ! J’aimerai aussi un peu plus de personnalisation des menu pour accéder plus rapidement au chose que j’utilise souvent comme le viseur polaire etc. Mais voila un ensemble mitiger, mais qui fait l’affaire pour débuter. J’ai quand meme hate de trouver un autre système ### 2/5 — iPhone16で接続不安定に *2024-12-11, version 2.5.2* iPhone12から16に変更したところ、Wi-Fiで繋がってもアプリ内での接続が上手くいかない事が多くなってます。 一旦アプリを終了・再起動させたり、Wi-Fiの切断・接続を何度か繰り返すと回復する事があるのですが、成功率は高くありません。また また、スリープからの解除時や少し離れてWi-Fi切断・接続した場合でも起こる事があります。 古いバージョンのAndroid機では起こらないので、iPhone版のみの現象かと思われます。 ### 3/5 — Stops tracking when disconnected *2024-12-05, version 2.5.2* If the app loses connection mount stops tracking, this is in iOS 18.1. Entweder sind die Sterne nicht anwählbar, oder die Bestätigung funktioniert nicht. Eine Ausrichtung mit einer Sternenkarte wäre wesentlich einfacher, so wie Celestron dies schon länger vorbildlich macht. Kometen Datenbank erfordert immer eine Internetverbindung. Warum bleiben die Daten nicht gespeichert. Die Kamerauslösung funktioniert manchmal oder manchmal auch nicht. Die Helligkeit des Polsucher lässt sich nur in ganzen Schritten einstellen. Wie schon bei anderen Rezessionen bemängelt keine Dithering Funktion. Incredibly poor app coding *2023-10-23, version 2.3.6* I’m trying to align my new AZ GTI mount with this app. It won’t register taps to confirm manual star alignment. Imagine my frustration that I buy a new $500 mount and the developers can’t even take the time to code the iPhone app properly to register taps on a button on the screen?! ### 1/5 — Az-Gte Does Not Align Properly *2023-07-09, version 2.3.6* This would be really great.. if it worked, but it will not align properly. I’ve tried every alignment option on the app, I’ve watched every YouTube video on it and read the very vague instructions that came with it. It will move and point the mount but it’s never on target, not even close. Like atleast 1 or 2 closed fists off target. This basically makes the mount useless and now I’m at a $400 loss. Idk what to do with it now. ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2023-06-01, version 2.3.6* Unreliable and buggy. Works fine sometimes, other times it won’t align or connect to the mount. I find it works fine for a few minutes after I turn on the mount and start the app, but then the app hangs and none of the buttons work. So for me it is unuseable. Use if for alignment only, and get a proper astronomy app, one that can connect to your telescope and drive everything from there. The alignment process is extraordinarily painful. If you breathe wrong, the button to say “Yes, absolutely, I’ve aligned with the star I selected” doesn’t respond when you touch it. To work around this problem, press the circle i “ⓘ” button to view information about the star, then the “back” button, then the “Yes, absolutely, I’ve aligned with the star I selected” button. Of course, if you’re not careful, you’ll end up pressing “back” one time too many and you’ll have to start the alignment process all over again. The rest of the app is confusing at best and is all but useless for actual stargazing. ### 1/5 — Useless for astrophoto *2025-02-03, version 2.5.15* If you close the app or disconnect from the wifi while taking pictures the sequence stops. It stops working after few minutes of use, making it impossible to navigate or using it. When are hardware companies going to realise that the software experience is what makes attractive their hardware?
