### 3/5 — Good but not great so far

*2026-01-20, version 2.5.7*

Yeah it’s good but app needs updating for new synths (examples: JT Mini and Pro Vs Mini). Why such a delay?

### 1/5 — No Update for Apple!

*2025-07-18, version 2.5.7*

I can't believe it's been 3 years without an update for Apple users. Now I've bought the LM Drum Machine and can't edit anything. Please dear people, fix this. Best regards

### 1/5 — Not updated since 3 years - no support for “Spice”

*2025-05-09, version 2.5.7*

I just bought a Behringer Spice only to discover that this piece of antiquated software does not support it.
Very Very disappointing!
We Hear You? I hope you hear me!

### 1/5 — Mise à jour

*2025-05-02, version 2.5.7*

Toujours pas de mise à jour !!!

### 3/5 — Works Well With Supported Synths...

*2025-04-30, version 2.5.7*

...but requires updating far more regularly.

Behringer, either this is a supported app, or it isn't. How can you release synths, etc., and not update the supporting utility app simultaneously!? The delays really are inexcusable. This isn't the 1990s; rather, this is a period where updates should be readily available monthly, if not weekly.

Behringer releases some laudable products with phenomenal marketing behind them on social media but its service and support functions - areas it controls and funds - still leave a lot to be desired at times.

### 2/5 — OUT OF DATE

*2025-04-06, version 2.5.7*

This app bricked my Behringer WASP and I had to find a PC (I use Macs and iOS tech) running SynthTribe 2.9.1 to “un-brick” my WASP. WHY? Please update iOS tools! This is a huge slap in the face for Apple ecosystem users.

### 2/5 — Woefully out of date

*2025-03-01, version 2.5.7*

I was so excited to see an iOS version of this app. I plugged in my Behringer spice and it said device not detected. I went through three cables and lots of head scratching, but it turns out it’s simply that this iOS app hasn’t been updated in so long that it doesn’t recognize multiple synthesizer that Behringer is selling now a days. What a waste of time. If you’re gonna offer an app like this, that helps you manage your devices, Barringer should commit to updating it regularly, so it appropriately represents their current product catalogue. Shame on you Uli!!!

### 1/5 — Hasn't been udpated in 3 years

*2025-02-11, version 2.5.7*

Current version on the mac app store is 2.5.7, which was released 2021-12-24. Current version is 2.9.0 from 2025. Why have this app on the mac app store if it's not going to be kept up to date? There's no reason to install it from the mac app store if we have to then just delete it and download the current version from Behringer.

### 1/5 — Update für Poly D ist fehlerhaft!

*2025-02-01, version 2.5.7*

### 1/5 — Odyssey

*2025-01-17, version 2.5.7*

Useless … for infos it seems impossible on the odyssey to choose the note priority… that’s ridiculous ! It’s only on low note mode… imagine how to play solos that way

### 1/5 — Outdated

*2025-01-01, version 2.5.7*

Doesn’t support Pro800. Please Update :)

### 3/5 — Where are the rest of your synths.

*2024-12-24, version 2.5.7*

It works fine for the Crave, but where is the Edge, Spice and Grind that you mention is to connect in the manuals.

### 1/5 — Is not updated anymore

*2024-12-15, version 2.5.7*

The version on the official website of Behringer is much newer and supports all the latest gear. Why does it not this version or the iOS version anymore?

### 1/5 — Does not recognize synths on Mac OS

*2024-12-15, version 2.5.7*

Since the beginning and with different Macs I always have the issue that the synths are not recognized by Synthtribe, even though they are connected and are 100% available in each DAW and the Audio-Midi-Setup. This is not even a star worth.

### 1/5 — Is this a joke?

*2026-07-04, version 2.5.7*

Purchased a BMX in March. The manual claims I can use this app to organize my beats, samples and eventual firmware updates (as if). So far it doesn’t even recognize the machine and I can see that the app hasn’t been updated in years. I gather that this is ‘normal for Behringer’ who seem to put product launch before customer support. Well, I certainly won’t get fooled again. 1 star, but only because I have to. In fact I can’t actually give this app a rating because it doesn’t even work.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t detect my synth

*2026-06-24, version 2.5.7*

It unfortunately doesn’t detect my synthesizer in the new iphones, every time i connect my jt-4000m to my iphone via usb-c, it doesn’t detect my synthesizer, i even tried various different usb cables and no such luck

### 1/5 — SHOULD BE DELETED

*2026-05-17, version 2.5.7*

This app is SO OLD that nothing in the past 4 years is included. The fact that We now can NOT find a recent SYNTHTRIBE APP is incredible. Probably unlawful in some Countries. I am Actively trying to get Behringer to change their ways. Starting with getting this app taken down.

### 1/5 — Find current software on Behringer site instead

*2026-04-19, version 2.5.7*

I downloaded this from the App Store for my Behringer Pro VS Mini, but this version didn't see the device. Then, after much searching, I went to the Pro VS Mini product page on the Behringer site, and found the download for version Synthtribe 2.9.0, which works perfectly.

### 1/5 — So Nicht!

*2026-02-13, version 2.5.7*

Hauptsache Umsatz, Support egal. Ein Grund keinen Behringer Synth mehr zu kaufen, egal wie wie gut diese sind.

### 1/5 — Only updates older synths

*2025-12-05, version 2.5.7*

Fail.

### 1/5 — mac osx version gets updates but no updates for IOS

*2025-11-04, version 2.5.7*

I use my iphone to update my behringer products. I don’t own a mac. So I’m stuck no being able to change settings on my gear.

Please update the IOS version.

### 1/5 — Funktioniert nicht unter iOS und MAC

*2025-10-10, version 2.5.7*

Funktioniert wenn überhaupt nur gelegentlich. Pattern bearbeiten, Import und Export ist mit der TD3 nicht möglich.

### 1/5 — App Store needs to update to most recent release.

*2025-09-09, version 2.5.7*

It is VERY frustrating to be unable to update iPads and iPhones to the newest version of this software where newer devices are supported. It works on my MacBook after I install from behringer’s website with newer devices. APPLE, please update the version offered.

### 1/5 — "We Hear You" - Clearly You Don't, Behringer!!!

*2025-09-08, version 2.5.7*

Works well with the limited number of supported synths ... but requires updating far more regularly.

"We hear you" - well, on the evidence of the feedback here, clearly you don't. Either that or you're simply choosing not to listen!

Another year on and still no update. As a consequence I'm reducing the rating from 3 stars to 1.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Wave support

*2025-02-08, version 2.5.7*

Please update this app to support the Wave synth. The OSX version is 2.9 and includes Wave support, however the iOS app is still at v2.7 and does not see the Wave. This is very annoying as I use an iPad for my Poly-D and it works perfectly.

### 5/5 — great for crave

*2024-12-18, version 2.5.7*

worked really well on the crave. no support for brains. I really needed support for brains

### 5/5 — Works great!

*2023-04-06, version 2.5.7*

My Behringer Model D needed the pitchbend adjusted to a whole step just like the classic Minimoog of the 70s. Behringer ships it with a useless 6-tone bend. So, I download the synthtribe app and it was super easy to change. Could NOT be happier!

(shoulda done this years ago)

### 5/5 — Quick and easy to use

*2020-05-24, version 2.3.11*

I recently bought a Pro-1 and updated the firmware right away. It was quick and easy. I prefer using this app to the Mac version since it’s a lot quicker than booting up my aging Mac Mini. The only criticism I have about Synth Tool is that they haven’t included the Neutron. It’s not much of a big deal since there haven’t been any updates available and It’s not often that I need to change the settings.

### 4/5 — App Store needs to update the version it offers to 2.9.

*2025-08-30, version 2.5.7*

This tool is good but App Store offers a later version than what is available from the manufacturer. The one offered right now does not support lm drum, but downloading the most recent one from manufacturer fixes the lack of compatability.

### 4/5 — No Kobol Expander or Model 15

*2025-03-21, version 2.5.7*

Synthtribe is a very handy app to use with
Behringer synths. But so far Kobol Expander and Model 15 are not supported in Synthtribe for iPad. Please add them to the list of supported synths. Thanks

### 4/5 — Please update

*2024-05-31, version 2.5.7*

Works fine with the crave , will see if it as support for the edge later , wish it would rotate as using on my pad , also wish I could write sequences while not plugged into my crave , so I could use it while out and about , and download them later , this would also open up the market a bit for people wanting share sequence info ect , in general it’s ok for a free bit of kit , to do upgrades ect , and it is very easy to use , unlike some software that requires you to spend hours reading manuals and watching vids just to work out how turn it on …… thx

### 4/5 — So easy to use

*2023-06-23, version 2.5.7*

I find this app so easy to use, it picks up instantly the synth that is plugged in. Never had any issues with updating firmware. Using the iPad is much easier than using my Windows laptop to do the firmware upgrades. My only criticism is no instructions on how to use the sequencer part of the app. If anyone could direct me to instructions to use this I would be very grateful.
When is this app going to get an update. It would be really helpful if the Neutron could be used with this app.

### 4/5 — This app is needed if you’re iOS only…

*2023-04-01, version 2.5.7*

like myself.
It connects directly to the Crave with ease.
There are a couple things missing that can be found on
the desktop version but all the important things are there.

My only gripe is that it doesn’t turn to landscape view when rotated.

Gravitas from the Beepstreet Forum.

Thank you.

### 4/5 — Apple won't recognize since tribe download on your website why is

*2023-02-18, version 2.5.7*

Apple cannot analyze to check if it's malware as far as the download for synth tribe directly from your website why is that?
