It seemed like such a good concept, and the sounds they offer are really amazing. But the whole interface is insane. To use it on the Ipad I had to: - create and account - pay for the specific soundpack - receive a vague confirmation - figure out on my own that to use said soundpack, I had to download the app - link the app to the device (again, in a super convoluted way) - discover that you have to select the specific sounds online, then switch to the app, and THAT’S when you finally hear the sound - Decide that it’s easier just to open Spotify and use a playlist ### 1/5 — Useless *2019-08-16* App won’t move past loading screen, just sits there. This is beginning to be a recurring issue with Syrinscape and I. ### 1/5 — iPad fail *2019-05-23* The app is stuck in an endless loop linking, logging in, and verifying the device. Unusable. The controls for the sounds is a separate website that is NOT mobile-friendly. An iOS app whose controls are designed for desktop. Let that sink in. Half-baked and harebrained execution. If the app developer reads this just scrap it and start over. ### 1/5 — Needs major work *2023-05-03* I know this is in beta and I saw it on Instagram. Figured I would give it a download and see what they had. Couldn’t operate the system through the app and had to switch back and forth from my web app to the sound app to do anything. Library has no search functionality for the web on mobile device. This shouldn’t even be in public beta yet. Three crashes. ### 1/5 — Too expensive *2021-09-08* At $11 a month, I won’t even try this. How often are people playing tabletop games, where $11 a month for game sounds is a good deal? Spotify is cheaper than this service, and I use that every single day. There are too many other affordable options on the App Store and online which serve the purpose. Now, if you had a one time purchase option, I would probably try it. Or if your monthly service was more like $1.99 monthly, I would try it. ### 1/5 — Unfortunately useless *2021-07-01, version 1.4.11* It’s crazy try to understand how to use it. I have no clue what’s going on. It’s damn near impossible to use the website to control audio on a mobile phone, and if I do when I do have that screen open I can’t hear what I’m actually playing to my players. Does it work on mobile? Notionally, yes. Realistically? Absolutely not. ### 2/5 — Wait for some fixes, then download *2020-11-30* I used the PC version and really enjoyed it, but I can’t even get this to open on my phone, the verification process is completely screwed up. I think once they optimize it a little more this will 100% be a worthwhile app, but it feels like they released it before it was ready. ### 2/5 — Promising, needs work. *2020-04-15* Pretty much useless on the iPhone because the website is a mess. On the iPad has same issue I have with Syrinscape in general, it doesn’t support playing audio in the background.
