However when I tried to use it on WiFi in a hotel I did not get any network lost errors and I was able to complete the workflow. HOWEVER no other app complains of low speed or lack of connection in the same environment and mobile network. Need to re evaluate the hyper sensitivity to network connection when on mobile networks. Very consistent behavior. As for the work flow. IF YOU CAN GET THROUGH it and get your QR code. If you get the errors be prepared to go to the Machine at the station have your pin and order number or you will probably miss your train! ### 4/5 — Don’t “collect tickets” too early *2026-04-06, version 7.23* I purchased the tickets via website + via the app. Mostly handy. But, make sure you also turn on your primary mobile to receive the SMS code to confirm your credit card (coz I couldn’t see SMs at first due to eSIM) Do not buy a round trip ticket for $1400 Instead, buy 1 way $700 tickets, so you can refund and change return trip times if needed (which occurred to us due to bad weather cutting our Taichung trip short). I’ve bought wrong dates tickets several times and had to refund and cost me $40 each time. Can you just make the date selection calendar more readable? After selecting the date in the payment screen the date font is also super tiny like 4pt font, even a non elderly person like me can make mistakes , needless to say for more visually challenged people. It does not function at all no matter how often I try to get the app to work. Network error issue comes up even though I have anywhere between 2-4 bars in 5G. Restarting the app brings me to circle back on my choices BUT the app continues to give me the network issue. I’m the main earner in my family. I am the person who establishes travel and transportation. The fact I have to purchase ticket and then distribute it instead of just having more than one QR code for each traveler I purchased for is ridiculous. I am used to use an iPad to run the apps due to its larger screen and fonts. When I download the ticket I bought on my iPad, I was surprised to find that the ticket is bound to the device (iPad) so even when I am signed into my account on my iPhone, I can’t see the ticket. That means I have to lug my iPad and use it to enter the gate at the station. Also I was told that I can’t get the station ticket counter to issue me a paper ticket based on my reservation number. What if my iPad stops working on the day of the trip? And I can’t save a screenshot of the ticket and share it with my iPhone either. Thanks! ### 5/5 — Maybe issues in the past, but it’s easy now *2023-03-15* My family is from Taiwan and I often come back to spend time with my grandfather. I take the high speed rail from Taipei to the south and the app has made the whole process a lot easier. You are able to search for tickets and times, show discounted fares (sometimes a couple of search refreshes can be needed), and even refund a ticket for no- minimal cost besides a service charge. I don’t speak Chinese very well and can’t read traditional, so major props to the English translations on this app! The app even let me make a same day change for ticket times as long as you haven’t collected the ticket yet! And you can collect via the app on your mobile phone. If you do collect via mobile only one ticket can be accessed per device. You can send the ticket to another number, but otherwise collecting at a convenience store if you have kids may be best! Once you collect the ticket you can scan it at the entrance to get into the platform! They take some US credit cards and you’ll need your passport number too. All in all I had a great experience using this to get around Taiwan ### 5/5 — A must-have App traveling in Taiwan *2018-12-26, version 4.81* It took me just a couple of minutes to purchase HSR train ticket（ApplePay available) and ticket info is right on my calendar with notification. The QR code was a lifesaver, it allowed me to fly through the gates and catch my train within 5mins from my friend’s car to the train door. 超好用的App，必裝。 ### 5/5 — Great app. And Apple Pay get past foreign CC challenges *2017-12-10* I had used this app a lot in the past. A year ago they upgraded the Credit card security and my American Credit card wouldn't work anymore. The introduction of Apple Pay has given me another option and it works great. Also they brighten the screen automatically when the barcode is displayed. Another great improvement. They are continually trying to make his app better and better. Great for them!
