Japanese version of this doesn’t have the fee. ### 2/5 — High fees *2026-04-01, version 1.21.0* Avoid Tabelog if you can. An $8 fee just to book a reservation is pretty ridiculous. Resy? Free. Open Table? Free. After 7 times, I ended up losing my needed dinner time. ### 1/5 — Reservation screen keeps resetting *2026-03-17, version 1.21.0* I should not need to enter my information five times to complete a reservation. Every time I switched applications, the reservation process would start over. I'm happy to have a profile where you store my information so I don't need to enter it several times. What a nightmare! For a reservation for four the fee was 1760. ### 2/5 — Limitations vs. Japan v. *2026-02-10, version 1.17.0* Unlike the Japan version of Tabelog, this app has several limitations. While I understand and don’t mind not being able to submit reviews, the app only lets you save up to 40 listings. It also doesn’t allow you to create custom categories or mark restaurants as visited, which makes it much less useful for planning and tracking places. ### 2/5 — 결제 오류 *2026-01-19* 첫 온라인 결제는 비밀번호를 설정해야 한다고 해서 시스템 수수료 엔화 880원을 결제하고 비밀번호 설정을 하려고 했습니다. 비밀번호 설정하고 인증까지 다 했는데 갑자기 시스템 오류 창이 뜨더니 예약 확정을 못했습니다. 돈만 날렸는데 이거 해결해주세요.. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — useless app *2026-08-07, version 2.17.2* This app has one of the worst search functions I’ve ever used. It’s unbelievably bad. Even when I search using the exact restaurant name, I still get irrelevant results or can’t find it at all. The filters are a mess, the ranking makes no sense, and the whole search system feels completely broken. A restaurant review platform lives or dies by its search function, and somehow this app fails at the most basic task. It’s frustrating, time-consuming, and makes the app almost unusable. Stop adding unnecessary features and fix the search. The American app, such as Yelp, does not have a limitation like that.
