The ability to layer ambience and add music that fits each scene makes the whole campaign much more immersive! Refuse to let you buy it … just rent it like everything else …would be great if u could just buy it … sad … they don’t even let u try the whole thing out without signing up … downright horrible business model Dont fall for it … **Developer response:** Hi Greenblood, we do have one time purchase items for all our music packs, and we do allow users to trial premium, AND also allow users to demo premium pieces of music. I’m not sure why you had trouble with the app, because all your listed issues are not actually true. If you’d like to reach out to support (contact@tabletoptunes.com), hopefully we could get this resolved for you. ### 2/5 — Crashes and pay walls *2026-01-04* The app it’s self has good features, being able to change the intensity of the music with a slider is a good feature. But there is barely any songs that are free, you only have access to mild fight music. The app takes time to load the music and crashes sometimes **Developer response:** I’m sorry to hear you’re dealing with crashes, we are aware of the issue and it should hopefully be patched within the next week (there’s also an update coming for the audio engine that vastly improves music load times). Re:Paywalls; app development is very expensive, and we put a lot of love into the music and features within the app. We are currently working on new music packs and will continue to add additional free content with each release. Music production can be expensive as well because I hire real musicians to perform on many of the tracks in order to provide the highest quality music of any RPG music app on the market, and due to that fact, we need to charge for the premium music. I hope you understand, and give tabletop tunes a second chance ❤️ ### 2/5 — Disappointing *2021-04-21* I like the concept of the app, but I purchased the everything back and it still hasn’t unlocked anything even after I was charged for it. Sorry to hear you’re having issues ### 4/5 — Love the concept *2026-06-21* This little app really brought my D&D one shot to life. It was easy to use and had some great little tunes to go along with the different areas visited. While $5 for what this is seems reasonable, I’m perfectly willing to double it if more niche sounds were available. -category for monster sounds. (Spiders, werewolves, trolls, snakes, etc) - category for simple sounds that are actually used a lot such as door knocks/someone knocking on the door. - more magical soundtracks with various levels of intensity for things that aren’t a battle but are becoming more mysterious or maybe as a clue that a boss battle is nearing. The battle music is great with the easy to use slider to increase intensity. It’s smooth and intuitive and has transformed the games of HeroQuest I play with my son. Moving into and out of battles smoothly is brilliant. You just want to turn off auto lock on your phone so you can be responsive to what’s happening in the game. It levels up a game to feel like a big event. It’s like Baldur’s Gate 3 vibes on your table. When a bug popped up in the app the team were super responsive and got it fixed in a day. Their communication was awesome and I felt like they really care about the people who’ve invested in their work. If you want to stop diving through endless tracks on Spotify that dont quite work and dont transition well with game action then this app is glorious. **Developer response:** Thank you so much for the kind review.
