## What is Tactra Remote?

Tactra Remote is a premium Apple-native media remote for Home Assistant. Control speakers, TVs, LG webOS sets, Apple TV setups, streamers, soundbars, receivers, consoles, volume, playback, sources, and media activities through a focused retro hi-fi interface instead of another generic dashboard. Tactra keeps Home Assistant as the source of truth, including media players and remote entities, and brings fast controls to iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, widgets, Shortcuts, and App Intents. It is local-network and privacy focused, does not require a Tactra cloud account, and stores Home Assistant tokens locally in Keychain.

New in 1.0.5: Tactra now uses tactra.dev for Home Assistant app sign-in and for its product, support, and privacy pages. Existing Home Assistant connections continue to work normally. The public app identity and App Store links are now consistent across iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-07-12

New in 1.0.4: Media Setup now has one consistent Start and End power editor. Choose Home Assistant actions such as Wake on LAN directly from inventory, combine wake actions with normal device power, and keep advanced setup-wide sequences in order. Automatic routing is clearer, missing actions are surfaced before save, and saved power routes no longer risk a launch crash.
