Doesn’t open ### 2/5 — Can’t scan receipts *2026-07-20, version 3.16* I’ve been using receipt scanning apps like Fetch, CoinOut, Frisbee, etc for years and recently came across this app a few weeks ago. As on today (07/20/2026), I have not been able to scan one single receipt on this app. The “Scan Receipt” button doesn’t work. The only thing that has work has been my online receipt for linked accounts. I reached out via email a week ago and have not received a response. As of right now, don’t waste your time downloading this app. You’re better off using Fetch, CoinOut, Frisbee, Pogo, ReceiptPal, & Receipt Hog. On a separate note, avoid ReceiptJar like the plague. They’re just a scam who will find excuse to weasel their way out of paying out. ### 4/5 — Scan and earn not working *2026-06-21, version 3.16* Once again scan and earn is not working. Support does not acknowledge that the problem is server-side and not a user issue given how widespread it is in reviews and social media posts. At this point, I can only conclude either total incompetence or intentional deceit to avoid paying users for tasks completed. Avoid. Original review: Don’t be misled by the 4.5-star review average — every single review over the past year is 1- or 2-star. The Treasure Hunt (Boost) feature, arguably the most important aspect of the app, is completely broken. Despite relying on location data, 90+% of the time it lists store locations miles away but not the one actually present at (though that store would be listed if you travelled away from it lol). Recently, even when the feature was able to be used, the promised rewards were never given. Over the past few days, the feature doesn’t even load properly at all. That’s it’s only job (though you can snap paper receipts too, I guess but I didn’t get this app to scan for paper receipts because that is the entire premise of the Swagbucks magic receipt. It’s redundant.) I downloaded to scan digital receipts and I know I have over 10 receipts Fon Walmart app but it does not even recognize it. I tried to form a ticket after talking to the unhelpful bot but it took me in circles and never allowed me to get to the actual creation of a ticket. For some reason now every time I ailt a receipt with the correct item it is denied. I have contacted company three times. As I would be able to finally cash out but no reply or a standard blanket email reply saying they will get back to within a month. It’s a scam. Don’t use! Will be adding to their complaint list with the bbb! Also the Tapjoy section won’t even open; it just spins. You know it just wasn’t explained I mean, honestly I had the app had receipts of recent shopping. I had no clue on how to do it and I got a ton of different apps this one is very confusing so I just was taking me too much time to get it all figured out so I just got rid of it if I was explained how to do it then I might use the app but right nowit’s not working for me and then it took me forever just to get it activated. Send email after email before I finally got activation. It’s a struggle. And now that I think about it, I never got to use it more than a couple of days because it was deactivated. I never deactivated so this is the problem I had with Tata why was my account deactivated? I have no reason for it I was never emailed or contacted that it was being deactivated, but it was deactivated. It’s really weird. This is a really weird app. Really weird. I’ve done nothing wrong. I never did nothing wrong.
