Most Quran apps push volume. Long reading streaks. Full surahs in a sitting. Leaderboards. That works for the small minority who already have the habit. For everyone else, it produces guilt the moment Ramadan ends. Tadabbur takes the opposite approach. Depth over volume. One ayah a day. Sixty seconds. For life. The thesis is simple. A verse contemplated deeply, repeated daily, becomes the relationship. Not the volume. WHAT YOU GET • A daily ayah, sequential. From Al-Fatiha through An-Nas, one verse at a time. Uthmani Arabic, five font options, optional transliteration. Audio from seven world-renowned reciters via Quran Foundation. • A three-tier reflection system. Acknowledge with one tap on a hard day. Respond with a line on a thoughtful one. Reflect deeply when something stirs. The all-or-nothing failure mode that kills habit apps doesn't exist here. • Feelings mode. A note from the builder: I built this for the Muslim I want to be. The one who shows up to the Mushaf every day, even briefly, even imperfectly, for a long time. If it helps even one other person carry that thread past Ramadan, it was worth the time. ## Version history (last 3 releases) ### 1.11.0 — 2026-08-10 • Bookmarks now behave as you'd expect reflecting on an ayah no longer bookmarks it automatically, and removing a bookmark stays removed. • Added new reading modes. Some of you already read a page a day and asked if Tadabbur could fit that habit instead of replacing it. Now it can. Open Settings and look for Daily reading. Stay with one ayah, or move to half a page or a full page. Your streak works the same either way. One day is one day, whatever you read. • Easier on the eyes. A few of you told us the app was hard to read, especially if your eyesight is not what it was. You were right. We went back through every screen and raised the contrast on all of it. • You can now choose Light, Dark, or follow your phone. Light is the default, so nobody ends up stuck on a dark screen they never asked for. • There is also a text size setting with four steps, and it changes everything. Translations, tafsir, your journal, the settings themselves. Not only the Arabic. • Signing in with Quran.com is more reliable, and your account now stays with you across reinstalls. • Fixed an issue where the app could quietly stop syncing your journal to the cloud. • Stability improvements. Jazakum Allahu khayran to everyone who wrote in. Almost all of this came from your messages. ### 1.10.0 — 2026-05-15 Tadabbur 1.10 is a major polish release focused on first-time clarity, daily reliability, and respect for every language we support. • Day-zero welcome - a new three-step card guides first-time users through the daily ritual, with a clearly labeled "Mark today complete" button. • Full-screen Read More - tafsir now opens as a proper reading view instead of a cramped half-modal, with a curated source attribution at the top. • Sticky surah identity - Al-Baqarah · Ayah 4 · Madani stays visible at the top as you scroll. • Default daily reminder at 8 AM - every user is now reminded automatically, with a 14-day reminder buffer so missing a day never breaks the cadence.
