Tado Shortcuts is a powerful and intuitive application designed to enhance your smart home experience by seamlessly integrating your existing Tado devices with iOS Shortcuts. Most current actions supported by Tado are available as an action for you to create your own shortcuts from, and there are some easy to use shortcuts available from the get go. The ability to manage and group schedules has also been included for power users that may have different requirements for their week-to-week lifestyle and want to easily maintain and apply different schedules. Widgets provide at-a-glance information about the comfort of your home! NOTE: You need to already own your own Tado Home devices such as a Tado V3+, and have set up the native application to use Tado Shortcuts. To login, simply use your existing Tado Home credentials. Tado Shortcuts does not store any information remotely, and only communicates with the Tado service remotely. Schedules are stored on your device and will be deleted if you move device or uninstall the application. Sadly this isn’t, if you try to setup geofencing using the shortcuts app it fails every time stating “you need to be logged in for this” ### 1/5 — App continually logs out *2026-01-11* The app continually stops running as it say it is logged out. Contacted support but didn’t receive any response. I have now used an alternative method to achieve what I required. ### 1/5 — Widget doesn’t work *2025-12-23* Literally only bought this app for the widget as a quick way to boost without launching the Tado app, and it’s does nothing. The widget is blank. Waste of a fiver! ### 5/5 — Resume schedule all rooms *2025-11-28* I took a risk buying this but it was so worth it! With shortcuts you can easily make Tado into what the manufacturer should have . I simply wanted to issue a ‘resume schedule to all rooms’ during the day to overcome the Tado problem of not consistently returning to schedule after a manual change. Damit habe ich in der Kurzbefehle-App viele Einstellmöglichkeiten. Das ging früher automatisch über die Kurzbefehle App, aber mittlerweile nur noch über die Tado-API, die ich aber nicht bedienen kann. But then they all but prevent remote access unless you pay them a subscription. Do not buy Tado Devices. And do not expect well meaning developers to bail you out of your poor purchasing decisions. Einen Plan setzen lässt der Shortcut nicht zu, da die Variablen nicht ausgefüllt werden können. ### 3/5 — Great app but.. *2025-01-22* The app provides a way to automate things that otherwise would require a Tado subscription, eg automating settings of Home/Away status, however even despite the recent update the shortcuts frequently fail as a result of being periodically logged out of Tado.
