Unfortunately I thought this app might be a way around the recent Tado announcement restricting the use of its api to paid users.

Sadly this isn’t, if you try to setup geofencing using the shortcuts app it fails every time stating “you need to be logged in for this”

The app continually stops running as it say it is logged out. Contacted support but didn’t receive any response. I have now used an alternative method to achieve what I required.

Literally only bought this app for the widget as a quick way to boost without launching the Tado app, and it’s does nothing. The widget is blank. 

Waste of a fiver!

Home/away Status setzen funktioniert mit TadoX. Allerdings der ganze Rest nicht. Würde man sich wünschen das das behoben wird.

Tado is a terrible company. You spend £100s on hardware which they claim is matter compatible. But then they all but prevent remote access unless you pay them a subscription. 

Do not buy Tado Devices. 

And do not expect well meaning developers to bail you out of your poor purchasing decisions.

I can finally trigger home/away without paying a subscription. Thanks so much! 

I noticed a lot of the shortcuts do nothing. ‘Resume schedule’ and ‘boost’ are not working for me. I have Tado x thermostat and radiator valves. The widgets aren’t working either.

But if home/away works I am happy.

**Developer response:** Most of the functionality not working is unfortunately due to Tado X! I plan to support this in the future so it should eventually work. Thanks!

Manches funktioniert. Vieles jedoch nicht. Einen Plan setzen lässt der Shortcut nicht zu, da die Variablen nicht ausgefüllt werden können.

The app provides a way to automate things that otherwise would require a Tado subscription, eg automating settings of Home/Away status, however even despite the recent update the shortcuts frequently fail as a result of being periodically logged out of Tado. This is something of a show stopper for reliable use.

**Developer response:** I appreciate your honest review! I am aware of this issue and the upcoming update should hopefully solve this challenge.

I took a risk buying this but it was so worth it! With shortcuts you can easily make Tado into what the manufacturer should have . I simply wanted to issue a ‘resume schedule to all rooms’ during the day to overcome the Tado problem of not consistently returning to schedule after a manual change. It works perfectly and I’m sure I’ll find many other uses - thank you !

Super Idee, vielen Dank. Tolle Umsetzung. Damit habe ich in der  Kurzbefehle-App viele Einstellmöglichkeiten. 

Falls du magst: ich brauche die Statusabfrage, auf wie viel °C die Heizung aktuell eingestellt ist, damit ich damit weiter „programmieren“ kann. Das ging früher automatisch über die Kurzbefehle App, aber mittlerweile nur noch über die Tado-API, die ich aber nicht bedienen kann. Das wäre super.
