## What is Tagalingo?

Learn Tagalog by understanding how it works.

Most language apps teach you what a phrase means, but Tagalingo teaches you how to build one.
Tagalingo is a structured Tagalog course for complete beginners and heritage learners who want more than disconnected vocabulary and memorized expressions. Learn grammar, vocabulary, and sentence-building together through a clear curriculum that always shows you what to study next.

A CURRICULUM, NOT A COLLECTION OF TOOLS
Tagalingo guides you through a carefully sequenced curriculum in which every lesson builds on what you have already learned. Vocabulary and grammar are introduced together, helping you understand not only what words mean, but how they work inside real Tagalog sentences.

UNDERSTAND HOW TAGALOG WORKS
Tagalog does not always follow the patterns English speakers expect. Tagalingo breaks the language down through clear explanations, practical examples, and focused practice.
Build a foundation with:
• Predicate-first sentence structure
• Ang, ng, and sa markers
• Tagalog pronouns
• Word order and sentence patterns
• Verb roots, affixes, focus, and aspect
• Everyday vocabulary and expressions
You do not need to understand grammar before you begin. Each idea is introduced when you need it and connected to concepts you have already learned.

ASK THE AI TUTOR
Use the in-app AI tutor whenever you need extra help. Ask questions about vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, or concepts from your lessons and receive explanations grounded in Tagalingo’s learning materials.
The tutor is designed to support your studies. AI-generated responses may occasionally be inaccurate and should not replace guidance from a teacher or native speaker.

REMEMBER WHAT YOU LEARN
New vocabulary and grammar are added to your personal study deck as you progress. Tagalingo uses spaced repetition to bring material back when it is time to review, helping you remember more without studying everything at once.

PRACTICE WITH A PURPOSE
Move through short explanations, examples, drills, and personalized reviews designed around the curriculum. Every activity reinforces what you are learning, helping you build recognition, strengthen recall, and create Tagalog sentences of your own.

MADE FOR YOUR REASON TO LEARN
Tagalingo is built for people who want to:
• Start learning Tagalog with no previous experience
• Reconnect with the Tagalog they heard growing up
• Speak with parents, grandparents, relatives, or a partner
• Understand more of the conversations around them
• Move beyond phrasebooks and disconnected flashcards

Do more than recognize Tagalog. Understand how the language fits together, build sentences of your own, and grow into the conversations you have always wanted to join.
Tara, mag-Tagalog tayo!

### 5/5 — Solid foundations

*2026-10-03*

The app is easy to use and feels familiar. Almost everything about the UI is intuitive. The lessons are easy to follow and they have a plan for you to remember content which is better than other apps. Besides what looks like ai assets and hard paywalling I would recommend this to anyone trying to learn Tagalog.

### 5/5 — Best app for learning Tagalog

This app gives super practical lessons for learning and speaking Tagalog, unlike other language apps I’ve tried it actually teaches you the foundations of the language rather than just how to say words. The AI tutor is a very helpful feature to have.

### 5/5 — AMAZING

I've tried so many language apps that treat Tagalog as an afterthought, but this one is different. The design is super clean, insanely easy to navigate, and the lessons are clear, engaging, and actually make sense whether you’re just starting out or trying to pick up conversational phrases. You can tell a lot of thought and genuine effort went into building this. 10/10 recommend!

*2026-09-06*

Love using this app to get my daily reps in for Tagalog! It’s set up in a way that makes it easy to learn even without having to take strenuous notes and the lessons are constructed in small, bite-sized chapters that make them easily digestible. I also love that there are different practice modes if I want to do extra review, and I can also add my own words or vocab to my study deck if I want to. The ai tutor also helps with pointing out areas for additional review and provides helpful mnemonics for remembering hard vocab or grammar concepts.
