## What is Tags?

TAGS is a place-based app for leaving messages, memories, photos, videos, and audio in real locations.

Climb a mountain and tag the summit with a poem. Reach a lookout and leave a photo or short video of what you saw. Find a special place and leave your thoughts there. When someone else travels to that place, or comes nearby, they can discover what you left, interact with it, and add their own.

TAGS is built around the idea that places can hold meaning, memory, and shared experience.

What you can do in TAGS:

Leave posts tied to real places
Create text posts, photo posts, video posts, audio posts, and styled text cards linked to a real location.

Discover what others left nearby
Open the map and see posts connected to the places around you. TAGS includes closest-tag previews, peek rings, and heatmaps to make nearby discovery feel playful and alive.

Choose who can see each post
Set posts as public, friends-only, or personal. Keep private memories for yourself, share moments with friends, or leave something for everyone who reaches that place.

Import older memories
Bring photos and videos in from your library and place them back where they happened. TAGS can use media location metadata when available, preserve capture dates, and let you manually choose a location when needed.

Reward real exploration
Imported media can live on the map, but the app still favors people who actually go to a place and post there in person. First-post recognition is designed to encourage real exploration.

Create tours
Build tours out of meaningful places and guide others through routes, stories, and memories connected to the map.

Create meetups and event memories
Set up meetups at real places with start and end times, visibility settings, and shared feeds. Live events can gather many posts into one place-based memory, and event feeds remain available after the event ends.

Join shared place-based experiences
Concerts, games, hikes, and group gatherings can become shared memory feeds where many people contribute photos, videos, and thoughts from the same place.

Interact with posts
Comment, reply, rate, and engage with what others leave behind.

Customize the map experience
Switch map looks, use Adventure 3D, show or hide heatmaps and event markers, browse in walking or driving mode, and explore nearby content with playful map tools.

Use photo and video location when available
If a photo or video includes GPS metadata, TAGS can use that to place the post where the media was captured.

Protect privacy and safety
TAGS includes reporting tools, moderation systems, protected-location controls, and property removal flows to reduce misuse and help keep the map focused on meaningful public place-based sharing.

TAGS is for the summit, the side street, the hidden lookout, the concert, the trail, the trip, and the place you never forgot.

Leave your mark somewhere real.
