### 5/5 — Excellent app for identifying fish in French Polynesia!

*2026-06-02*

I was leaving for six weeks of sailing, snorkeling, and diving in French Polynesia when I found this app. Since I had previously enjoyed John Hoover’s two fish ID apps for Hawaii, I bought this one for Tahiti with no hesitation.

The pictures are great. The descriptions are interesting.

The various ways of searching by name, color, prevalence, or shape is really helpful!! And it’s nice to be able to log my sightings and add notes.

I used the app in the Marquesas, the Tuamotus, and the Society Islands.

Well worth the cost!

### 5/5 — Perfect after a dive

Incredibly easy to use for fish identification. No glitches. Several ways to find what you are trying to identify. Choice of English or French or Scientific. Great pics.
