### 5/5 — Wonderful teacher

*2026-06-29, version 3.2.000*

I looked at a bunch of these apps, and this was the only keeper. Explanations and videos are clear. The teacher moves at just the right speed, and everything is broken down to make it easy to replay just the parts you need. Plus the variety of content is truly amazing—multiple Tai Chi and Chi Gung routines geared to different levels.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-10-12, version 3.1.300*

Tai chi app is great, I’ve lost 2 kilos and my joints are better than ever!

### 1/5 — How much?

*2025-10-06, version 3.1.300*

Nothing in the blurb saying you get a three day free trial then it’s $12.99 per month.

At least be upfront and honest about the cost.

Deleted.

### 1/5 — How much?!

*2025-08-17, version 3.1.300*

First time I opened the app it said 3 day free trial and $12.99 per month thereafter. Why don’t they mention this is the description?! Deleted straight away.

### 5/5 — Brilliant. Just what I needed.

*2024-09-07, version 3.1.300*

Have wanted to learn Tai chi for ages and been to some classes. But just following everyone in a class does not teach you the correct way to do the moves - which is what Tai Chi at Home does brilliantly. It’s like having one to one tuition in your home. You can do a little every day - whatever works for you. I am already seeing the benefits and have been recommending it to everyone.

### 5/5 — Really good

*2023-08-16, version 3.1.100*

Tried hundreds of free YouTube videos but still could never pick it up.
This explains it all step by step and without all the extra waffle and waste of time. First time tai chi has worked for me.

### 5/5 — Great Content!

*2023-03-16, version 3.1.100*

I was pleasantly surprised to find more than just tai chi on the app. I have been learning qigong and following along with classes. I am looking forward to learning the tai chi fan soon!

### 5/5 — Excellent videos

*2022-11-14, version 3.1.100*

I downloaded this app because I wanted to learn tai chi and there are no classes locally. I hadn’t heard of the White Crane form but since downloading the app this is what I’ve been focusing on. It has surpassed my expectations. The videos are short enough to cover a small section of the form and are demonstrated very clearly, including from different angles, breathing, and pitfalls to watch out for. So I feel confident in putting the sections together and revisiting the videos where I forget something. It is good that a video of the full form is available too. It is like having a very patient teacher in my living room!

The only thing I would like to see included is some kind of support for questions. One of the videos mentions a forum but I think this is for website subscribers rather than app subscribers and my message about this went unanswered.

But I would definitely recommend this app to anyone wanting to practise tai chi, and there are lots of other videos included too.

### 1/5 — Monthly subscription To expensive

*2022-07-21*

Are these people nuts
$12.99 month. Outrageous

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking the time to try out our app, and for leaving a review.

We do understand that $12.99 a month might be too much for some who want to learn tai chi. We've tried to balance this a little by offering a number of free lessons on the app that you don't even have to register to access. This includes the first 4 moves of the White Crane form which, as a student myself, allows for an amazing foundation in tai chi and is a relaxing mini-form in its own right.

We also offer a big discount on a yearly subscription, which is only $79.99. Or just $6.67 per month. A large proportion of our subscribers take up this offer, which is almost half the cost of the monthly option.

The reason we offer such a generous discount for the yearly subscription is that it helps us plan what new content we can create over the next year to add to the library of lessons. We want every lesson to be something that not only introduces new exercises and techniques, but also works with all the other content to create a library of lessons that allows as many people as possible to experience and enjoy tai chi.

And I think it's worth noting the work that goes into creating a course for the app. Pre-pandemic Mark (the instructor) was travelling to China at least twice a year to learn new forms and improve those he'd already learnt. He now spends hours every week learning remotely with his instructor, and multiple hours more practising all that he's learnt over the last few decades. It takes years of practise before this can be taught either in person or online. It makes my task of filming and editing of the actual lessons seem easy, but it's actually taken us 5 years to build up the library of lessons on the app.

Hopefully this explains a little bit about why we charge what we do and how you can find even better value by taking out the yearly subscription. And even if you still think a paid subscription's not for you I promise that you will still get plenty out of the free lessons available.

### 5/5 — Best tai chi app

*2021-10-03, version 2.1.2*

So happy I downloaded this app. It has easy to follow instructions, and I really feel my tai chi is coming along. I have a very busy lifestyle so it allows me to practice whenever I have time.
