## What is Tailmates?

Tailmates turns walking your dog into a game you both win. Track a walk, earn points, build a streak, collect badges, and share the moments that matter with your pack. It all adds up to a longevity score you can actually move.

Walks that count
Start a walk and Tailmates tracks route, distance, pace, and steps with live GPS. Finish to earn points and keep your streak moving. Post the recap to your pack or keep it private. Apple Watch and home screen widgets help keep the habit in sight. With your permission, eligible outdoor walks from Apple Health can be imported and counted.

Your pack
Live now shows who is out right now: the walks, runs, and rides people chose to list. It shows a city, never a route. Tap in to walk along or send a cheer. Open your walk to packmates for a walk party: everyone walks their own street, one roster, one chat, live pace for all. Every cheer carries a name. An open walk starts on its invite card. One tap sends it and gets you company. See when friends are walking, cheer them on, and share walk recaps, photos, and milestones. Share a post, photo included, to X, Threads, Instagram Stories, or any other app. The Feed shows everyone, ranked. Add anyone on it as a packmate. Join communities, find scheduled meetups, set a virtual meetup with no place to be, or give your pack a standing weekly walk, run, hike, or ride. Friendly global, friends, and weekly league standings keep score.

A wellness longevity score
At Level 10, Tailmates can show an evidence-informed longevity score and an estimated range based on the profile and activity data available for your dog. The score can change when those inputs change. It is a wellness estimate, not a diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plan, or promise about lifespan. If required profile data is missing, Tailmates says so instead of guessing.

Photo suggestions you control
When you add a dog, Tailmates can use a photo to suggest details such as breed and body condition. AI suggestions can be wrong. You review and correct them before they become part of the profile.

Optional lab-verified data
You can add a wellness blood panel through a veterinarian. Laboratory data can inform the score after review, with your veterinarian kept in the loop. Tailmates provides educational wellness information and never replaces veterinary care.

Scout, when you choose it
Tailmates Silver includes Scout, an optional AI assistant. You choose which saved Tailmates data sources Scout may use, and you can change those choices in Settings. Scout can make mistakes and asks for confirmation before taking a supported action.

Research is a separate choice
If you separately consent to contribute eligible data, it may support research conducted separately from the app experience. Tailmates is not a study, and using the app does not make you a research participant. Research choices can be changed independently.

Optional memberships
Tailmates Plus adds deeper insights, trends, and member benefits. Tailmates Silver includes Plus and adds Scout. Both offer monthly and annual auto-renewable plans. Core walks remain available without a membership.

Radically extend canine lifespan. Dogs get about a decade. We're building the science that gives them more. That is what the company is working toward. It is not a promise the app makes about your dog.

Share your dog's data and it joins every other dog's. That is how a decade of anecdotes becomes evidence. It is your call, always, and the app works the same either way. Data shared this way contributes to research conducted separately. Tailmates does not run that research and never signs you or your dog up for anything.

First steps begin here. Earn badges for adding your dog, completing your profile, posting, walking, opening a walk, bringing friends, and building a streak. Every unlock brings confetti, a haptic, and a share card.

See what comes next. Swipe from your streak to see which badges are up next and what to tap. Your checklist now includes "See your streaks and badges."

Find your vet faster. Search by vet, clinic, city, or ZIP. Pick from suggestions and scan results on a small map. Open Add my vet to save the clinic to your dog's record. Lab verified partners are clearly labeled.

Write without losing your place. Feed and pack comment fields stay with the keyboard while you type. Replies start with the right @mention, and typing @ in a post or comment opens a dropdown of profiles.

Repost with your own words. The new repost composer lets you add an optional comment and stays open through feed refreshes.

Open any post and get an answer. It loads, explains when it is unavailable, or offers Retry if the connection stalls.

Likes feel immediate. A light haptic lands when your like does.

Take on a pack challenge. Pack owners and admins can set a distance or walk target for seven or 14 days. Your pack can follow progress, see top contributors, and share the challenge.

Ask a packmate to walk. Tap Want to walk? on their profile or roster row. When they start walking, Tailmates tells you.

Your stats, back on top. The walk sheet opens on your milestone and your stats, where you look first, and the two join controls are one plain line each. The keyboard now steps aside the moment you tap somewhere else, on every screen you type on.

Walk along with someone. Tap in on an open walk and your own walk starts right there, already in their party. Their roster and the chat sit on one pane and your own pace on the next. Nothing to schedule, and no second walk to start.

Cheers land on both sides. Sending a cheer now feels like sending one. You get the same moment the walker gets, named for who you just cheered.

Ask Vets is a board. Every question and every answer is there to read, on the same wall your other packs use. Ask your own, anonymously if you would rather, and comment on anyone else's.

Notifications you chose. Every kind has its own switch now, and only the ones about you personally start on: a cheer, comment or mention on your post, a request addressed to you, a result for your dog, and the reminders you set yourself. Everything else stays quiet until you turn it on.

A reshared post leads somewhere. Tap the quoted post to open the original, and add its author to your pack from the same card.

Your checklist finishes. Every row of the profile checklist now completes when you do the thing it asks, reading the Tailmates mission included. Pack tiles line up in an even grid.

Walks that finish, finish. When a walk cannot reach the server to close out, it falls back to the summary your phone already recorded, so a finished walk is never a blank page, and a walk with nothing in it clears itself instead of stranding you on it. The pre-walk picker always opens with a dog chosen, so Start is ready when you are.

Cheers with a name. When a cheer lands mid-walk, you see who sent it. In a party, cheer any packmate by name. Your first finished walk gets a cheer from the Tailmates team.

The invite card. An open walk starts on its invite card. Send it with one tap and get company.

Feed. Friends is now Feed. It shows everyone, and you can add anyone as a packmate from their post. Share a post to X, Threads, or Instagram Stories with its photo.

Virtual meetups. Schedule a pack walk with no place to be. At the start time everyone taps go from their own street and walks as one group. Packs can also set a standing weekly walk, run, hike, or ride.

Around the score. Your dog's walk style: five types read from how a walk flows, never from how far it goes. Walk with more than one dog at a time. The walk summary shows average pace, average speed, and the walk points and streak the walk earned, and the share card carries the streak. Badges for cheers and community messages now climb a ladder, and every badge explains why it was earned.

Walk polish. The in-walk clock no longer freezes. The Go countdown fires on time. A live walk no longer shares where it started, and a listed walk shows your city only. Location sharing stays coarse unless you choose precise. Real names in comments, and a tab bar that sits lower.

Meet Scout, your dog's AI assistant, new with Tailmates Silver. Ask anything about your dog, get walks planned, reminders set and packmates rallied, right from the Feed. Silver includes generous monthly Scout credits, with optional top-ups if you ever run out. Your watch gets a full walk screen too: duration, distance and points ticking live, with a page for packmates out walking now. Plus fixes and polish.
