I use the free account and you’re only allowed two social media accounts which is fine but I can’t seem to figure out how change the account I originally signed up with. ### 2/5 — Slightly disappointed but no other alternative *2021-09-03, version 5.0.27* I’ve paid for tailwind since 2017 on multiple accounts and no real hide updates within that time frame. The website can be pretty slow at times. The app has come a long way, but there’s no way to shuffle your pins so you still have to go to a desktop to actually get everything completed. I also think it’s silly you can’t schedule to folders within group boards since pinning out to group boards is all tailwind is made for. ### 2/5 — Can we make the app a little better? *2021-04-27, version 5.0.27* I absolutely LOVE tailwind and it’s capabilities. It’s a powerhouse of a tool for social media and is gold for a small business owner. However, as someone who works a full time job on top of two other small business I look for things that can maximize my time. Which means I don’t always have the time to sit on my laptop to schedule. It usually happens when I’m in the middle of my work day away from my computer. It would be amazing if the app could have more of the tools available on mobile and more of an user friendly interface. It’s a bummer I spent money on it but haven’t been able to use it to its full capacity due to this problem. Otherwise I love the program itself. **Developer response:** Hey there! We can share directly with the product team for future updates! ### 4/5 — Awesome functions *2021-04-08, version 5.0.27* This app provides all the functions I need to be organized with content!! Not sure how I lived without it before! I will say that I don’t really need a Facebook page for each IG account I run, and it seems that Tailwind wants me to connect them in that way, but I’m going to continue to scheduling content on this app as much as and in all the ways Tailwind allows. ### 3/5 — Could be very useful if it weren’t so outdated *2020-12-22, version 5.0.27* It took me forever to figure out how to use this app. I literally had it installed for a week before I actually learned how to do something with it. You have to share directly from your browser to Tailwind and you can share straight from Etsy app. In addition, I tried to start scheduling some pins for my business Pinterest account and the boards were not updated properly. Apparently they only updated every 24 hours so if you’ve created a new board, you will not see it in Tailwind. There is supposed to be a solve for this but I couldn’t figure it out. Would be a super helpful tool if the features could be updated! ### 2/5 — Complicated *2020-11-14, version 5.0.27* The app is really hard to navigate. Apparently there are two different apps that do ultimately the same things. So I have both apps and have to navigate between the two. If your coming from playnoly just be prepared for a head ache it’s not as easy to use. They promote a lot to upgrade the service but using later or planoly is way easier. I was interested in the smart schedule and thought it would making scheduling content easier but the app is just hard to navigate all together. Try it to see if you like it but you may not want to cancel your other subscription just yet. ### 3/5 — Makes social media scheduling sooo easy! Just a few bugs *2020-08-08, version 5.0.24* Since using tailwind I’ve had so much more insight to my IG following and the way the algorithms work. I LOVE the hashtag finder and I love scheduling my posts so far in advance I never have to worry. There are a few bugs in the app, sometimes it’s hard to upload photos and time slots can get messed up really fast if I try to add any manually. Sometimes posts randomly get lost and hard to recover. Using the desktop version is MUCH easier and less frustrating. Overall a great concept and I’ll continue to use it despite the bugs (that hopefully get fixed in the future). **Developer response:** Hey there! And the staff and creators of Tailwind are SO helpful and respond very fast! They are friendly and you can tell they want to help as best they can! I’ve been recommending Tailwind to all of my fellow Bloggers. This app is life changing! I did the 31 post trial and it was great. A few minor kinks with posting and locking posts in place in the beginning.y only complaint so far is I wish you could upload more than one photo at a time. It is soooo time consuming to upload content. I have downloaded month to month. There is no benefit in savings to purchase a year. Kinda sad because I would have committed to a year if it was a little discount to commit to it. Now if the app could upload more photos are one time it would be perfect! ### 4/5 — I didn't know what I was missing *2020-07-28, version 5.0.23* I decided on a whim to start a secondary Instagram account and wanted to grow it quickly. I had heard good things about Tailwind and decided to give it a chance. I was blown away by the scheduling times and hashtag suggestions. I hadn't even thought that seriously about how they affected things before using the app. Plus the ability to schedule and just have it post for me makes me feel such more at ease. Keeps my side hustle on the side instead of something I have to be on constantly. ### 5/5 — Adding Features and more *2020-07-24, version 5.0.23* Have been using Tailwind consistently for about the last 6-7 months, since that time they’ve rolled out quite a few new features that I feel like are “must-haves” for an application such as this. I’m always able to get my questions answered, have had a few bugs and issues but overall a positive experience and would recommend for business owners or individuals looking to make Pinterest or Instagram scheduling easy! ### 5/5 — Love the new look and feel! 💗 *2020-07-21, version 5.0.21* I absolutely love the new look and feel of Tailwind. I’ve been using Tailwind for 2 years and have always enjoyed it - but the app redesign makes it so much easier to use and more fun! The time slots and scheduling make it so easy to run my Instagram account and helps me know what steps to take to be successful. ### 2/5 — Please Bring Back the Old Version! *2020-05-15, version 5.0.16* The update is awful. I used to recommend this app to everyone. It was my go-to for every post, especially for hashtag research. Now it won’t display any recommended hashtags, it’s extremely annoying to get started working on a new post because it locks you out while it’s uploading, and I’m lucky if it ever saves the caption I’m working on. Such a huge disappointment from an app I’ve recommended to so many people and relied on so heavily. The absolute worst “upgrade” I’ve ever seen in any app. ### 2/5 — Update ruined the app *2020-05-03, version 5.0.14* This used to be my go to way of scheduling Tailwind because the online Tailwind scheduler is cumbersome to use. Now not only is this app just terribly slow, but the pins are tiny and the date is huge across the pins making them even more difficult to see. The suggested pins feature has been taken out, which is a huge disappointment. And the cherry on top — no landscape mode. VERY annoying. The least they could’ve done is add the “use interval” feature that’s available on the web site, but nope. I still give it two stars because it’s still easier than the online scheduler, but in general I’m extremely disappointed. **Developer response:** Hi there! Looking forward to hearing from you. :) ### 2/5 — Fair -ish *2020-04-23, version 5.0.10* This is a great concept - the integration with Pinterest, the smart click link bio thing, but the lack of intuitive features, even in the desktop is frustrating. The pre-planned suggested content topics is great, but gets out of order when you’re arranging your content. The iPhone app? Terrible. I lost some really great content when I created it on my phone and went to finish it on the desktop. Now my efforts are neither on the phone app or the desktop. Not to mention the phone app repeatedly freezes AND when posts are not posted, the notifications are inconsistent at best. I’ve gone back to Instagram or to my desktop to find my posts did not publish. I have my other business profile on Planoly and will keep it there, foregoing some of the features here. Hope to get this resolved for you! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn't Work - Pretty Useless *2023-07-21* The app is described as a scheduler and planner, but all it seems to do for me is just let me see the next several posts I have scheduled, via the home page (when it loads). I've tried using the app on and off over the last 4 months, and not once has it actually worked properly. I'd say about 40% of the time, it opens to say that I don't have any scheduled posts. I have to refresh the home page for it to show that I have posts scheduled. If I go to the secondary tab, nothing loads at all. It shows a bunch of squares for timeslots, but no thumbnails load, and I can't do anything on that page. It would be great to use this app to move posts around, but it seems they don't really put effort into making sure the app functions. ### 1/5 — App is terrible, desktop okay *2021-06-15, version 5.0.27* Concept is great but functionality is lacking. The mobile app needs a serious overall. It’s slow and takes forever to schedule a single pin. Now with the latest iOS update for iPhone 12pro max the tailwind app doesn’t even work. Never opens, just spins and spins. You can’t even send pins through Pinterest to the mobile app anymore. Totally useless. The desktop is only a tad better with consistent kinks there too. Unfortunately, their tech support will only help you if you send videos of the problems you’re experiencing but they can’t be just any video. You have to download their video software for screen recording/sharing. Consider yourself out of luck if the issue doesn’t occur in that moment. Hope you enjoy! ### 1/5 — Nearly a year later and it is still terrible. *2021-02-12, version 5.0.27* Fiddly, near impossible to work with, must create insta puzzles, upload to dropbox, export into phone/iPad pix, upload into tailwind, then try and get the copy, links, posts, and info in the correct order. Repeatedly the app FAiLS to update correctly (doesn't sync to Instagram promptly), deleted posts remain in the queue, stupid ads/help vids in dashboard keep the draft view from correctly showing the Instagram puzxle draft, so it's tough to get the scheduled queue sorted out. Regret paying for a year of this in advance. ### 1/5 — Used to love it. *2020-06-07, version 5.0.18* The update LOOKS a lot prettier but it’s much less functional than it used to be. We lost the drag and drop features and you can’t spread out the schedule if you’re posting to multiple boards anymore. There’s also multiple added/extra clicks involved in scheduling each pin which is fine when you’re just adjusting an item or two, not so much when you’re trying to schedule a month at a time. Sad to say using the web version is now smoother than the phone app. Hope it goes back to normal soon because this is now added work, when the white Point is to lighten the load. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2020-05-12, version 5.0.16* I can tap my screen, lightly touch my screen, push hard on my screen, but this app does NOT work at all! I can’t move pins about 75% of the time, because it doesn’t even sense my touch. My phone works perfectly with every other app, so it’s for sure Tailwind. I tried it in my iPad and I didn’t work any better there... I’ve submitted help tickets and updated 3 or 4 times and it’s not getting fixed. Wish I could give it -5 stars. The horrible quality of this app is enough to make me close my account completely. I had several months of pins lined up, and the idea of losing all of that is the only thing keeping me at the moment. Are you EVER going to fix this? It’s been broken for almost 6 weeks! ### 1/5 — Latest update makes app extremely slow & loss of features *2020-04-10, version 5.0.6* I was a frequent user from my phone - I’d search, manage & schedule pins regularly. In this latest update you can no longer search pins (why would you remove this?)!!! Additionally, the performance is SO slow, the app continually freezes and then crashes. It’s a waste of time to try and schedule pins from my phone because I can barely scroll through days and while trying to drag and drop the app shows one day, maybe two before it freezes and you can’t move pins. I’ve just spent an hour and was only successful in moving two pins. I hope more updates are coming ASAP - otherwise please rollback!! ### 1/5 — App ruined after latest update *2020-04-04, version 5.0.5* This app worked great until the last update last week. It’s irritating. When I try to click on photo, it doesn’t open, only after like 10 tries. You cannot scroll to move around the pins. When you scroll, you’re grabbing pins instead. It’s a huge mess. The app was so easy to use before and it worked perfect with scrolling and quickly scheduling pins. Now? It’s impossible. I have to login to desktop to do it. Might as well delete the app because it is no longer useful. Please fix it or go back to the way it was before. At the moment, if I could, I would give it “zero” stars. It’s useless. ### 1/5 — Update Ruined App *2020-04-03, version 5.0.1* Tailwind on the desktop/laptop is useful and how it worked on the iPad before the recent update was ok. Now when I’m using the app on safari on my iPad Pro Tailwind no longer shows all the photos of my products in my Etsy shop. It only shows the cover photo. This is no different than using Pinterest to pin from my etsy shop. Pinterest now likes fresh pins even if they link to the same website. Being able to choose multiple photos of my product to pin from my Etsy listing (through Safari) was the whole reason I liked using Tailwind on my iPad. Tailwind through Safari on iPad also no longer lets you choose multiple boards. I can only choose one board at a time. Useless. As for the app itself: it no longer works in landscape mode on the iPad. I hate apps that do that. If they have an iPad version it should work in landscape mode. It also no longer lets you choose multiple boards. The purpose of Tailwind is to let you take one pin and add it to multiple boards at the time. The app update took that function away. Why? The app wasn’t perfect before. It did have glitches but I was able to sit with my iPad while watching tv and get my drafts scheduled. Now Tailwind is only useful on my desktop which isn’t always convenient for me to use. Please, please fix this. Tailwind on iOS on iPad Pro used to work just like Tailwind on Desktop on Safari. The app has become useless. Since I do most of my work on my iPhone, I've had to start using two other apps for my posts, since both of them work perfectly on my iPhone, without having to go to the desktop. I've tried several times to encourage this company to fix the mobile app so that it can be similar to the desktop version, but unfortunately they never have a good timeline, just an excuse that they are working on it. As of now I cannot use the mobile app at all. So it just takes up space on my iPhone for now. Please up your efforts on revamping this app so that it can be more useful to us mobile users. A complete, poorly designed mess. And the app just flat out doesn't work 90% of the time and when it does it's missing 90% of the website features. Also they have a 3-4 day lag time on customer service responses. I really wish my business didn't have to rely on them. Can someone with a more reliable and cleaner platform get in good with Pinterest so we have more options!? It’s easy, they have great customer service at tailwinds, and are constantly updating to make scheduling easier! I have ADHD and I’m really bad at remembering to post for my business account this helps me get more done and not have to remember to always be posting ### 5/5 — Time saver and freedom *2021-08-13, version 5.0.27* I seriously would not where I would be without Tailwind! No more draft post on Instagram and fear of it being lost!!! It has helped with planning out post and visually seeing what my feed will look like. It makes it simple to plan out boat weeks and even months in advance. The best part I think is the auto post. I haven’t used it much for it’s OG purpose Pinterest yet but I plan to. Only tiny complaint is that it won’t let me schedule same day posts, “ gets turned into weird codes and some of the tagging features aren’t working. Really great and easy to use. ### 5/5 — Amazing and User Friendly *2021-02-18, version 5.0.27* I am just one year into blogging And have just recently gotten more serious about paying attention to social media algorithms but I’m also really busy! Tailwind has taken so much stress off my shoulders because now I can set aside an hour or two on Monday to schedule out posts to match my high engagement times and then if I feel like posting again later in the week- I can knowing that there’s already another post as well. ### 5/5 — Amazing customer service *2020-12-08, version 5.0.27* So, I wrote to Tailwind because I was hitting an image limit of 10 images when trying to schedule an Instagram story. This was pretty prohibitive to my workflow, as I tend to share up to 20 images at a time to my stories when delivering sneak previews to my clients. I talked with Clay at Tailwind customer service, and he not only told me he would share my feedback of raising the image limit, he specifically asked me what limit would be more useful for me. Which like, ok, already stellar service because when is the last time you shared feedback with a company who then asked you for specifics on the changes you’d want to see rather than just giving you a generic ‘I’ll share that with the team!’ So, fast forward a few hours (yes SAME DAY), Clay emails me again to say that the team has officially raised the limit on story images to 20, per my feedback. Wut. What company does that? This is wildly impressive customer service folks. I know this app isn’t perfect (what app is?), but this kind of experience cinched it for me. I am officially moving over to Tailwind for my social media planning. And yes, I’m a real person who actually had this experience, and nope I’m not getting anything in return for this review. Just seriously stoked on the experience I just had. Thanks so much Clay and team! ### 5/5 — Without Tailwind I would be in a tailspin *2020-10-12, version 5.0.25* I’m a busy solopreneur who is trying to manage it all. Before Tailwind I would post periodically because between working full time and side hustling I could not find the time to post to social media. I knew the importance of being consistent when building an audience so knew it was imperative the I post and engage with my audience. Tailwind has made it so easy. I know batch upload my content and Tailwind auto posts according to the best time it’s data shows my audience is most active on the platform. My engagement has skyrocketed.
