Other than that it’s a basic dating app ### 2/5 — Honest review *2026-08-31, version 5.1.419* The only reason I’m giving this app 2 stars is because, while it does give you a good amount of free likes, the way they handle people who have already shown interest in you makes absolutely no sense. If someone views your profile, you would think the app would at least let you like them back or send them a message. Instead, you have to pay $20 for one week just to interact with someone who may already be interested in you. You can use your free likes to like random profiles, but if someone has actually taken the time to view your profile, suddenly you have to pay to do anything about it. That’s what I don’t understand. Why give users free likes if you can’t use them to connect with people who are already showing some interest? I could pay $20, message someone, and they might not even respond. That’s a pretty ridiculous price just for the possibility of making a connection. I understand apps need to make money, and I’m not against premium features, but charging $20 just to message someone who has already viewed your profile feels excessive. At the very least, users should be able to like or message someone who has viewed their profile without having to pay for a subscription. WEEKLY not monthly WEEKLY!!!! Right now, it feels less like the app is helping people connect and more like it’s trying to force you into paying just to talk to people who are already interested. ### 1/5 — AI-generated spam disguised as human interaction *2026-08-30, version 5.1.419* The most outrageous thing about Taimi is that you don’t even know its AI liking and messaging people for you. You start looking through your activity and suddenly see people you supposedly liked and messages you supposedly sent—often to completely random people who you don’t like. Then you have to hunt through the settings just to figure out how to stop it. And that’s when you realize it goes both ways: all of the random “Hi Gorgeous” messages you receive may be AI-generated too. You can literally find yourself in a conversation where AI is effectively talking to AI, while neither person even knows it’s happening. That’s not dating. It’s deceptive, AI-generated spam disguised as human interaction. ### 1/5 — Terrible app. *2026-08-30, version 5.1.419* They charge you for upgrades but you are limited how many people you can like or unlike a day. You reach out to Customer support , who reply (verbatim), "You are currently part of a test in which Like Messages are indeed automatic. They're called "Openers" and there's currently no option to turn off this feature". You set a range for Age and Distance. Seconds later, the app says we changed your preferences. Even with a gold membership, you can't post likes, as they are exclusive to diamond subscribers. Why are you showing it to the people who can't like it? Seems like a lot of profiles but a lot of people looking to increase their IG following. ### 1/5 — Terrible in its current state *2026-08-28, version 5.1.419* I met the love of my life on this app a while back and have returned to it to try and find friends (as it’s the only decently populated trans centered app) At the time that I was using it to date and met them, there were definitely issues, some avoidable (ridiculous amounts of monetization) and some not (chasers). In the modern day however, both of these problems are much worse. Monetization is to the point now where if someone is close to you and has similar interest, the app will make you pay to have the ability to like them and there are a lot of other things along that line. As far as chasers go, the app is actively marketing itself to them. I have gotten multiple ads on other sites for taimi that the general idea is “I am a cis man and I met this SUPER HOT cis passing trans woman on taimi. Somehow, worse than all this, there is now an ai feature that will automatically send messages to people, a lot of the time of a suggestive nature. There is a setting to turn this off, but it regularly turns its self back on and even continues to do it while it is actively off.
