2.3.2
August 6, 2026
- Now with 台文華文線頂辭典 built in: when the MOE dictionary has no match, the app searches this dictionary instead. - Rare characters are filled in. Some dictionary characters are missing from the system font and appeared as empty boxes on iOS 18 and earlier. Two bundled fonts (全字庫正宋體 and Plangothic) now supply them, consistently across entries, examples, search results, widgets and the Safari extension. - Fixed widgets and extensions being unavailable on iOS 17 and 18. The app lists iOS 17 as its minimum, but the widget, Share and Action extensions were asking for a newer iOS and never showed up. They now work on iOS 17 and later. - Dictionary data updated to the August 2026 edition. - Audio packs now update incrementally: only what changed is downloaded, and an interrupted update resumes on its own. When a new edition is available, the search screen lets you know. - After looking up another word mid-reading, you can now go back to the entry you were reading. - Definitions and example sentences can be selected and copied, with an on-screen confirmation when you do. - Accessibility improvements: better support for text size settings, additional VoiceOver labels, and fixes for tap targets that were too small. - Fixes: the screen could freeze after going back from an entry; the dot on i remained when the 8th tone mark was applied. - The Info screen now links to the support page and the privacy policy.
