I typically play only the stories. However, there hasn’t been any new stories for months. I have replayed through Venice multiple times. But now there’s literally ads everywhere. Oh, a block turned into a coin! I can view an ad for extra coins or refuse the ad for less. BUT THE AD STILL PLAYS IF I SAY NO. It just means I get a “shorter” ad instead of the super long one. The ads don’t have proper “X” buttons when they end, leading to scammy techniques where they just want people to tap on the ads. Beat a level? congrats! Here’s an ad. Then the “post level reward” screen shows up… and gives ANOTHER AD. There’s some executive who gave the OK for this junk up in the C suite of this company that needs to be tossed out and fired. But this update is the absolute worst, there’s so many visual distractions now and it’s nothing like it used to be. What a train wreck. There are constantly running ads at the bottom of the screen, plus at the end of a round, the game programmers have inserted pop-up pages that attempt to coerce players into selecting another game from their offerings. Often, you can’t opt out of the new offering without clicking on it, or, in my case, by closing out the game completely, then re-entering to get the next level of game play you were involved with. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. It’s developed by a mindlessly, selfish individual that puts money above the gaming experience.
