I’d add a mix knob for the chorus as it’s overbearing. ### 4/5 — New preset browser problem *2023-09-10, version 4.8.2* New preset browser looks too big and does not fit display of iPad Pro 12.9. Please bring the Jupiter 8 to IOS !!! ### 5/5 — Juno!!!!👍 *2022-06-22, version 4.4.0* What can be said about this app, well it’s the most interesting & simple application I have experienced. I have played the real analogues years ago and this just cuts it. I own many other synth apps which are fantastic in their own right and I am not saying this is better or best, it’s what the creator can get out of it. Well worth the purchase it will give you hours of pleasure and discovery. ### 5/5 — My Juno 60 Patches Replicated *2022-05-05, version 4.4.0* I’m giving TAL’s Juno 60 emulator 5 stars because I was able to replicate patches from my vintage Juno 60. To have my custom Juno 60 patches portable on the iPad is just astounding. Yes, there are minor tonal differences, but considering that I’m working within the limitations of the iPad audio out and, taking into consideration that there’s a certain full round warm quality to the Juno that is not replicable digitally, this app is still astounding. Only thing that could be improved is that the faders jump when starting to move them. A “soft takeover” on the faders is needed instead of a jump. Although’ to be fair, this is what happens on the real thing. It would be a nice feature though. As a vintage Juno 60 owner, I’m blown away. ### 4/5 — Good, no, fantastic…but buggy. *2021-12-12, version 4.4.0* Love what this does, but in the short time ive had it ive had it freeze up no me a few times. This doesnt make it viable to use live IMO, which is a huge shame. Also the GUI is still not great. Mostly the round knobs at the bottom for the FX’s are distorted when you hide the keyboard. Although everything gets distorted when you do this, the round knobs are the most problematic as its harder to rotate them using the screen. Still fantastic value for money though. ### 5/5 — Just a great sounding synth *2021-10-25, version 4.4.0* With tons of possible sounds and presets. So if you like a synth that sounds great, has tons of free presets and has a cool and easy to use interface, you are at the right place. I am surprised that there aren't tons of reviews raving about this ipad synth. It has become one of the synths that I use most often. It's a really great one. I freak out with idiots who screw with developers minds by power tripping with the stars rating method. The goal of rating stars is to communicate with other users to tell them if the synth is worth purchasing. It is not a way to get features. If you want features then send an email to the dev and make suggestions. This bull about saying they will add a star if this or that, is really immature and unfair to everyone. I wish people would go back to the old days when they cared about others and not only their petty little desires. ### 4/5 — Awesome sounds, let down by GUI *2021-07-07, version 4.3.0* It’s a wonderful addition to my audio setup, easy to dive into, plenty of things to fiddle with & great sounds. GUI is just ok, as others have pointed out. It’s rather dark & with little contrast between modules it makes it a little hard to see exactly what is what. I keep going back to it & have made a lot of use of it so in that respect it’s excellent but please update the GUI! ### 4/5 — Sounds great but the UI is very laggy *2021-05-11, version 4.3.0* On my iPad Mini 2 the synth runs fine when used as an AU instrument, but the UI is very laggy. Also, how do you rename presets outside of saving a cloned file and renaming it in the Files app? ### 5/5 — Absolute Wow! *2021-02-25, version 4.2.52* I really wish this was available when I started buying synth apps. So easy to use and sound quality for recording is a dream come true. I can’t say enough good about this synth except to say thank you for making it available on iOS. I’ve loved this app but now I can hardly use It!!!! ### 2/5 — Great job guys! *2022-01-30, version 4.4.0* I never had a Juno or follow that many “classic” synths, but I just loved the way this one sounds! I mean it sounds fantastic through my iPad speakers even! The presets this synth comes with are super cool. But unfortunately you can’t save your OWN presets in AUv3 instance. You can use your DAW to save it, but it’ll stay with that particular DAW only. If you use several DAWs how can you share those presets, that’s impossible. You can save presets in standalone version but not in AUv3. A lot of times I edited patches to fit the tracks and I create something nice, not having a way to save it globally is a major flaw in this synth. I have many synths on my iPad and this is the only one that doesn’t have a save functionality. Please consider adding this fundamental function - to save presets! Thanks! Aside from that, it’s a 5-star synth. Excellent sound quality. ### 3/5 — Sound is great but issues in Logic Pro *2026-02-27, version 5.1.2* The synth sounds amazing and as a standalone app I’ve had no problems. However, when I host it in Logic Pro on the iPad, I can’t edit any of the sliders with the Apple Pen. You have to move them with your finger, which is harder on an iPad Mini. With the pen, they just bounce right back into place. Changing button and switch states works fine, so it seems to be a problem with the slider control only. Luckily, the presets are amazing. ### 3/5 — Drains battery in background *2025-12-03, version 5.1.2* I love this app. From a sound design point of view, brilliant. However, it’s consumed battery for over 8 hours in the background and my iPad hasn’t even been used. Nothing is running or active. Obviously an issue somewhere. ### 3/5 — Not compatible with desktop presets *2021-12-19, version 4.4.0* Description says “ The presets are compatible with the desktop version and a lot of preset banks by third party companies are available for this instrument.” Which is not true anymore. The desktop version got delay and reverb. That’s a pretty huge difference when it comes to preset compatibility. ### 3/5 — Great synth, a few workflow problems though :( *2021-01-19, version 4.2.52* Great app and synth! But whenever I try to use external presets that I have saved in the presets folder, they won’t load so I’ll have to manually load in the individual preset. Also, when using the synth as an audio unit in a daw I don’t even see an option to load external presets. TAL-UNO-X is the one that I always come back to. It fits in the mix with other players. Gives that swirling analog bed of pads. Can make "that" synth brass sound that isn’t midi, or harsh, or trying too hard to sound like real brass. TAL can be swirly, squishy, or searing. And of course, it sounds like a Juno (which has seen a nice resurgence with synthwave). Buy it. Pair it with a nice reverb. You won’t regret it. TAL, if you’re reading PORT THE JUPITER!!!! ### 5/5 — Carbon Copy Classic *2023-06-09, version 4.7.23* I owned a 106 back in the day, and Tal U-No sounds spot-on (though technically it's intended to emulate its predecessor). A straightforward synth that's all sweet spots and simplicity, but it's got some nice additions including delay and reverb. I'd love to see other Tal synths on iPadOS though I've heard nothing about any movement on that front. Any chance to have the whole TAL collection ? ### 5/5 — One of My Most Used iOS Synths *2022-09-25, version 4.7.21* This port of Tal is absolutely amazing. It sounds great, it’s very lightweight on resources, and has a nice clean ui. Since presets work on both the desktop and iOS version, there are many free and paid patches/patch banks available online, including at the Tal website. Typically those are main things I look for in an AU synth, and Tal ticks all those boxes. I’ve been doing the iOS music thing a long time now and Tal is one of my favorite and most used synth apps. I have recommended it to others many times, and will continue to sing its praises. Recent update added some nice features. Great Stuff. ### 5/5 — Outstanding Juno Emulation *2022-09-25, version 4.7.21* This company has done such nice work on their desktop VSTs. It’s great to see them craft an excellent Juno for the iPad.
