App looks fantastic, however our kids should be aloud to speak for free, not 9.99 a month

**Developer response:** Hi there, this is Mattias, founder of Tala. I built Tala so my son could communicate, so I really do agree that cost shouldn't stand between a child and their voice. The natural-sounding voices cost us money every time they're used, which is why the app can't be completely free. I've kept the price as low as I can, and there's a free trial so families can see if it works for them first.
If your family, or any family, wants to use Tala but can't afford it, email me at mattias@talaaac.com and we'll sort something out. 😊

### 5/5 — Amazing

The programme is very good, and my daughter has learned very quickly from it. However, the vocabulary and actions are still quite limited.

I would be extremely helpful if you could expand the programme to include many more words, actions, everyday situations, questions, and interactive activities.

My daughter responds very well to this type of learning, and I believe a more comprehensive programme could make a life-changing difference to her communication and development.

Thank you so much for your wonderful work!

### 5/5 — The best AAC for Autism

Simple straight forward interface, awesome options like linking with Apple Watch and adding widgets to your Home Screen for quick access to customized pictures. Clear natural voice. The ease of use and features make this the best AAC I have ever used. Love it!!

### 5/5 — Speech therapist review

*2026-07-19*

As a speech therapist I am always looking for total functional communication supports and AAC supports for my work but also for my children in their everyday life. Tala is accessible to anyone as it is free …. Making it one of the best options for AAC as it is extremely easy to access and use. The app is well designed for functional communication to support language development. With core and fridge vocabulary it supports a child in communicating their wants and needs. It is overall a great app, that I will be recommending to lots of families!
