### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2020-04-17, version 8.0.1*

This is an awesome app and very useful in my daily practice.
I just observed one bug. When you use it and before you close the app let’s say we are on roopaka tala, and close the app, kill the session too and reopen it, the selection still shows roopaka tala, but the count below is reset to adi tala. Please check this

### 5/5 — Talanome

*2019-05-16, version 6.0.1*

Very helpful and educational

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2018-02-12, version 6.0.1*

Wow, thank you very much. You just saved me atleast a $100. I was about to invest a lot of money in buying the old and clunky looking talometer when I came across this app's Ad on YouTube. I came here and immediately downloaded it and works just as expected. I'm so happy. I'm a newbie learner and looking forward to using this app to keep me in rhytym.

### 5/5 — Professor

*2017-01-23, version 6.0.1*

I've been waiting for this app for nearly 40 years. While I haven't yet used the make your own tala option, the talas included are plenty for me right now, especially since Sridhar added the viloma misra nadai option. I use it every day, and will recommend it to all my students come fall. Sridhar is very responsive and helpful about adding and tweaking features. Congratulations! It beats the old talometers in every way.

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2016-02-02, version 5.5*

I am impressed with the capabilities of the app and recommend the app to all Carnatic music lovers.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2013-08-17, version 5.1*

It's very useful for me especially since I teach students music.
See if you can add a feature for chauka kala/ viloma

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2013-05-27, version 5.0*

This app is indispensable for all indian rhythm enthusiasts. Not only can you set time cycles in all the major carnatic talas, you can also set up other patterns used by groups such as shakti and modern fusion groups. I cannot live without this app!

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2013-04-27, version 4.1.1*

Love the program. So cool. Great practice tool. Easy to use. Love the variable sounds.

### 5/5 — Very usefull

*2013-04-24, version 4.1.1*

It's very usual for Carnatic musicians or students.the sound is not enough to keep track while playing an instrument . Need to increase. I was trying to listen on my iPhone5 with full volume, but I have to keep looking to the phone, which is not good. I would like to see the option to save my tala features saved if I wish to.
Hope to see improvements soon.
Finally I appreciate for your effort. you need a bit of advertising about your app:)

### 4/5 — Audio is working now

*2011-06-24, version 2.0.1*

Excellent-- had my phone muted before, though, so there wasn't any audio. :) (From the same person who wrote the no audio review) Sorry about that.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worst product ever

*2024-07-18, version 10.1.0*

The earlier version was very good but they have to ruin it I guess. Horrible

### 1/5 — Whats up w this version

*2024-03-22*

Horrible vs the good old stable version .

Serious delays with this version and super convoluted user interface.

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We appreciate it. Can you please email us regarding any issues you might be facing with delays, so we can help resolve them? Please do let us know which iPhone/iPad and which iOS version you are using. We have worked very hard to revamp and update Talanome so it can stay relevant with newer interface options and frameworks. We want this to be the new good old stable version! So far, we’ve not heard of any issues with performance. Thank you.

PS - Also, do kindly ensure that you’ve updated to the latest version (10.0.2 as of this writing ) - there was a lag issue on some iPads on version 10.0.0 that was fixed in 10.0.1 . Thank you.

### 1/5 — not working properly in my mac

*2022-08-29*

i dont know why but it works fine in ipad and iphones but is not at all working properly in mac.
in mac the false strokes are coming

**Developer response:** Please give our version 10 a try - it has been completely revamped and rewritten from the group up, and has even more Talas and information. It should fix any ghost beat issues that you are facing.

### 1/5 — Confusing

*2013-12-21, version 5.2*

Not an intuitive app. Very confusing.

### 1/5 — Very limited and not worth it

*2011-09-18, version 2.0.1*

Not good. Why can't there be a flexible customize option where I can select any pattern that does not fit into these carnatic ones. Not worth it!!

### 2/5 — G

### 3/5 — New interface is confusing and hard to use

*2024-09-30, version 10.1.0*

The app and user interface are re-written from the ground up according to the release note of v10. It is not clear what the reason was. The interface is confusing and hard to use. A lot of things including picking sounds is now difficult. I somehow get the feeling the app has lost some of its features.

### 3/5 — Talanome

*2012-07-13*

### 3/5 — Carnatic metronome

*2011-06-13*

Very useful but too expensive. Bought it as an encouragement.

### 4/5 — No rupaka chapu?

*2012-09-20, version 4.0.1*

Overall, great for Carnatic talas but why no rupaka chapu?

### 5/5 — Fantastic app for Carnatic Music

*2023-10-16, version 9.2.1*

It’s a must for Carnatic music students and teachers. Every tala we will encounter is covered and it is excellent to use! A huge thank you to the developers!!

### 5/5 — The best Tala app there is

*2022-08-15, version 9.2.1*

Period.

### 5/5 — This is a great app!

*2021-10-09, version 9.2.1*

My teacher recommended me to buy this. I LOVE IT! It is basically the best app for Carnatic music singers. Helps me keep on beat! 100,000,000,000/10

### 5/5 — Useful, no way to use fine-grained shruti

*2021-07-11, version 9.1.1*

I often use this in conjunction with a tanpura, which is set to a note slightly sharper than a true D. Unfortunately no way to adjust the Shruti of the note in the taalanome to match the tanpura.
