We did a testing by several individual players and all 9 had extremely similar results out of 21 roles; player 1 rolled “1” 8x, “2” 5x, “3” 4x, “4” 2x, “5” 1x, “6” 1x; player 2 rolled “1” 6x, “2” 4x, “3” 4x, “4” 4x, “5” 2x, “6” 1x; player 3 rolled “1” 7x, “2” 5x, “3” 2x, “4” 3x, “5” 2x, “6” 2x; player 4 rolled “1” 9x, “2” 2x, “3” 4x, “4” 2x, “5” 1x, “6” 3x; player 5 rolled “1” 6x, “2” 4x, “3” 5x, “4” 3x, “5” 2x, “6” 1x; player 6 rolled “1” 5x, “2” 5x, “3” 4x, “4” 3x, “5” 2x, “6” 2x; player 7 rolled “1” 6x, “2” 4x, “3” 5x, “4” 3x, “5” 2x, “9” 1x; so I could post the last 2 but I think you see my point. While the graphic design and storytelling is fun, the play as you get deeper is designed to make it nearly impossible to fully complete. The game just becomes more of an aggravation than enjoyment. All in all, if you can’t play the board game and need 10 minute time waster, this game could work. But don’t think your going to invest anything more than that much time. I played an older version that was good, brought back memories of the actual game. This is far worse ### 1/5 — Frustrating bug right off the bat *2022-06-09* In the very first quest of the Dwarf’s Tale if you have multiple talismans and discard just one of them you instantly lose (even though you still have one or more talismans in your inventory). I see online that the developers acknowledged this bug in 2019 and said it would hopefully be fixed in the next update. It’s been three years and it’s still there? Feel like I just wasted my money on a buggy game that has zero support. ### 4/5 — Excellent addition to the Talisman universe! *2022-02-11* Origins uses familiar features from the base game & expansions but adds cool storylines that give you a clearer purpose as you play. I’ve also played Talisman Digital Edition & found it to be severely busted, from broken rules to overly aggressive rigged AI characters, but in Origins, all seems good in the world, as it is a challenging yet extremely fun adaptation of the game! Some missions are a LOT harder than others but they still feel FAIR, like the AI characters are definitely playing with the same rules you are, and they don’t always target you unnecessarily. It only took me about 10 days to beat the main story, but thanks to the bonus challenges there’s a lot of replay value here! Pretty much the only improvement I can think of would be allowing a choice of characters for some missions instead of being locked into playing whatever character the current story is based on. Congratulations game devs, you really did this one right! ### 5/5 — Great way to play Talisman *2021-12-24* Really great idea, the story drives you along your adventures giving you plenty of fun and some Talisman law to help fill out the experience. ### 5/5 — Beautiful game but needs a couple fixes. *2021-06-21* This game is awesome and a fantastic idea for the single player aspect of Talisman the only 2 problems I have are there’s need to be a zoom feature,the print on some cards are too small and there isn’t a native zoom feature and second, you can’t play music or listen to podcast while playing on the app even if you put the SFX and music to “0”. I love the music but I like to listen to my own epic music or podcast while I play. I bought a new phone but the screen is smaller, even with 20/20 airline pilot vision I can barely read the cards. Almost every card game app I’ve played has the double tap zoom in option. I’m completely surprised and disappointed by this.
