App runs great for me. I am hoping we eventually get direct purchase and account management from the app at some point in the future. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! *2021-04-01* When I first got the app I was very excited to learn python. I got on then went to create an account I typed in my email address then when I tapped on the bar to create a password. Then the search bar was blank! I tried to tap the empty search bar and then a c popped up. Help me developer Help me **Developer response:** Hi Mr. Gost. Sorry you had trouble with the app. Since you reported this issue, we've completely rewritten the app and fixed many bugs that had been in version 1. Would you be willing to give v2 a try and let us know your thoughts? ### 3/5 — Login is buggy *2024-06-01* Can’t paste login credentials into login fields. When password managers are the norm, it’s often necessary to paste passwords as typing out random strings is unnecessarily cumbersome. This is basic functionality, please fix 🙏 ### 3/5 — Great for Portability, but needs Split Screen *2019-07-09* Really enjoy being able to get these courses on the go, and especially the variable speed playback. Would *really* love to see support for split screen on iPad as I tend to execute the tutorials in a jupyter notebook as I watch. I currently have to do a lot of back and forth with slide over to make it work.... ### 4/5 — I really love the podcast, but… *2019-05-24, version 1.0.8* First I have to say that I am a great fan of the podcast and really like the courses topics, but I just wanted to try the first free course about responder on my iPhone XS and I have no sound. If I open the website (even inside the app) everything works fine, so definitely not a problem with my iPhone speakers ;). But the downloaded courses just have no sound. And I‘m no designer, but the app UI could need some polish the yellow on gray colors really hurt my eyes. I will rate this back to five stars as soon as I am able to use the app. Edit: Back to four stars I figured it out, it seems the audio output is respecting the silence mode of my iPhone, this might be a feature, but doesn’t fit the normal behavior of other apps, so I think this qualifies it as a bug. ### 4/5 — Love it (Would only add new iPad Pro support) *2019-05-05* I love that now i can take my Python training on the go, since I am an everything bundle buyer, it is great to be able to access this content on the go as well :D. I use an iPad Pro 2018 11 inch and it would be awesome to have the app optimized for this screen ratio. Currently I see two gigantic black borders on each side of the app and it would be awesome if you could optimize the app for the new iPad screen ratio. That would give it a 5 star rating in my books. Anyways, I know this was the first release and we should see an updated version soon. ### 5/5 — Highly highly recommend *2023-12-14* I've been an regular listener to the podcast for years. Talk Python Training is the absolute best courses hands down. I purchased the full bundle and have not regretted it. They cover everything from Python basics, advanced Python , htmx, Django, fastapi, pytest and git and a whole lot more. The videos and materials are much higher quality than Udemy. The training videos are very thorough and high quality. ### 5/5 — Superb for travelling *2022-05-08* I recommend using this app if you have bought a course or bundle from Talk Python Training. Sure, you can view the material just as easily using a browser, but this app comes into its own for its ability to download to your device. Useful if you’re travelling or don’t have a good internet connection. Sometimes I have seen the pictures mixed up between the courses but you get the right material by clicking on the course title you want.
