I traded emails with Mark from the support team and he was awesome. He responded back the same day I sent my email. I’m going to buy an AirPlay audio device so I can hear this alarm much louder than just through my iPhone or iPad. I’m giving it five stars because the bottom line is the app works exactly as it should. It’s not loud enough which has nothing to do with the app, it’s me. For anyone who has not tried this app yet, I highly recommend you do so. I love this app, especially because I can have it announce a specific message such as “you must get up you need to send an email by 8 AM” but I am trying to figure out how it can play through a speaker. I am a very deep and heavy sleeper, and the max volume on my devices are not loud enough, it will not wake me. I have an iPhone AC powered docking station however, because the app works best in landscape mode this doesn’t really work because the device is in portrait position. I did buy an adapter for the docking station with a small cord as I am then able to put my phone and use it as a bedside clock but it still doesn’t seem to go off even with the power turned on with the docking station. I have an iPad mini and with docking station having an audio port in the back, I plugged the audio port into the back of the docking station and into my iPad mini, and I have the iPad mini plugged into a standard power cord. The alarm will still not go off as a bed side alarm clock while it’s connected, and the screen is not dark, it’s the bedside alarm clock that is showing. I was hoping using a standard power cord to charge the device and using the audio cables would rectify the issue and it doesn’t, the only way this app works exactly as it should, I have it plugged in and charging via an AC power cord and not using any external speaker BUT, it’s not loud enough to wake me. The speaker does work with the audio cables because I can play loud music through the speaker and trust me, this speaker is loud. Is there any work around this issue? I am willing to purchase small computer speakers with audio ports, as I keep going back in my head that maybe it has something to do with my speaker being a docking charging station as well.
