I paid for monthly subscription and the app has not updated my account so basically paying for nothing which is frustrating ### 2/5 — I wanted to like this app so much, but…. *2024-02-17, version 2.9.1* It seems like it has so much potential, but unfortunately every time I tried to click on something to interact with the app, it pushed an offer at me for a paid subscription. This wouldn’t have been a problem except for the fact that I accepted one offer for premium/full access after a short trial period and tried again, only to still not have access and be blocked by another offer. That offer was better (it came with a longer trial for full access to the features), so I accepted it, thinking it would fix the problem. Instead, when I tried to play the app, no premium access was granted and it went right back to the original offer like I hadn’t accepted anything. It was highly annoying and the fact that it couldn’t recognize that I’d accepted a subscription offer made me concerned about the quality of the app in general. I was worried that it would “eat” my payment and still not give me full access once the free trial was over, so I canceled everything and I’m about to delete it. Really such a shame. ### 2/5 — Restore Issues *2024-02-13, version 2.9.1* The app seems pretty good and extremely useful. However, they offer you a subscription with a 3 day free trail but when you pay it just keeps loading, for whatever reason it doesn’t let you restore or even acknowledge your subscription. ### 2/5 — Needs Work *2023-09-06, version 2.1.6* Some basic issues: 1) It won't allow me to copy text for Google Translate nor offers a translation or explanation of the text. 2) The accents in English are very basic and not to my liking. 3) When you click on a button it offers a translation that's all in Chinese characters, which might be useful to someone in China who is a Mandarin speaker, but is useless and out of place for anyone outside of that country. I cannot recommend this app, unless you're trying to learn Mandarin Chinese. The UX and UI was too not to my liking. There are better language apps out there, so I think I'll stay away from this one. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Don’t bother, just use ChatGPT’s Open Ai and you a language exchange prompt *2024-02-29, version 2.9.3* This app's performance in deciphering spoken Korean is abysmal; it often misconstrues words, yet bizarrely continues the conversation, resulting in nonsensical exchanges. Even worse, it blindly follows whatever it manages to capture, leading to frustratingly disjointed interactions. Powered by ChatGPT, you'd expect more coherence, but alas, it disappoints. Spare yourself the headache and steer clear of this subscription; the free alternative on the website is far more sensible as you end up writing your answers anyway. ### 1/5 — Vietnamese? *2024-02-17, version 2.9.1* I am an English speaker looking to learn Vietnamese. Is that option available? I don’t see it. ### 1/5 — Shady subscription *2024-02-13, version 2.9.1* I have subscription but it keeps prompting me to subscribe. And when I try to restore purchases, it doesn’t even load. ### 1/5 — Scammed did not add my subscription :( *2024-02-13, version 2.9.1* I thought this was a very good app at first! Within the first 30 minutes of purchasing the app they advertised that you can have a premium subscription for half price on the first month, then paying a standard monthly fee which i paid for. It states that once purchased you will have access to the subscription and will not have the payment taken out of the account until they have confirmed. The purchase i have made has gone through my paypal, and apple has sent me an invoice proving that i have paid, but i am yet to have access to any premium features, and they keep advertising me to purchase them when i already have. I have now even cancelled the subscription incase it charged me again without giving me access. Im highly disappointed. Please be careful when purchasing a subscription as it did not work for me. I have sent them feedback on the app but yet to hear anything.
