Despite deleting and reinstalling with ad cookies disabled! ### 3/5 — Drains battery *2024-08-06, version 2.1* Love Talk TV but the app has drained my battery (brand new iPhone) and made the phone quite hot after listening for a couple of hours. Whoever is on breakfast show go back to previous format like Julia HB : one presenter with one guest for the whole programme and other contributors, less frustrating to listen to. If you listen to TalkRadio (because you can’t watch all day) and they refer to a spectacular sight, don’t bother switching to TV to check it out. You will be greeted by an ad, after which you will be watching the same show far ahead of the radio, so you have not only missed what you wanted to see, but a portion of the show. There are ads aplenty during the shows, so the gateway ad is unnecessary and annoying. Better to listen on other channels like Radioplayer, which lets you straight into the show. The apps don’t work properly, I’ve deleted and downloaded them many times as the only way to get them to work. Don’t bother with them, use other platforms. ### 1/5 — Not good *2023-12-20, version 2.0.9* I've tried talkTV, but I think it was better as just a radio station. Personally I prefer GB News, there's more news as well as debate, talkTV hardly has any news at all. ### 1/5 — Schedule *2023-10-29, version 2.0.8* I now have to sign in and be linked to this that and the other to use this app. If only the app was devoted more to the presentation than making me accept the cookies it would be OK. You have just been deleted. Bye. ### 3/5 — App needs a content review... *2023-09-02, version 2.0.7* Great station and roster of presenters BUT... in 2023 there's been a change and not for the better... Now every time there's an ad break, they put up a countdown timer with musak.. it might be a small thing, but when you've heard that 3 minute musak clip 800 times, it starts to wear a little bit thin. They wouldn't put a countdown timer on national tv, but somehow think it's ok to insult the intelligence of the digital audience by inflicting it on them several times an hour. If it's not ok for tv, why is ok for viewers watching on digital platforms?
