### 2/5 — No Tally reset button

*2026-05-03, version 1.28.2*

You can only track 3 things until they make you pay. And there is no way to reset the tally if you accidentally marked it too many times, at least not on the free version.

### 4/5 — Undo feature

*2026-04-28, version 1.28.2*

I love using the app, but there’s one thing that’s missing on the app that would be very beneficial. That will be an undo button, to help fix any unwanted tallies or clicks made by mistake.

### 2/5 — One time payment option please!

*2026-04-23, version 1.28.2*

This app looks like what I need but I don’t want another subscription service. Would gladly pay a one-time purchase though

### 3/5 — Watch app crashes

*2026-02-21, version 1.28.1*

I specifically chose this app over other tally counters due to its Apple Watch compatibility, however, the app simply does not launch on my Apple Watch Series 5

### 3/5 — Not great for people who cross time zones often

*2026-02-11, version 1.28.1*

I am a paid subscriber and have found Tally to be genuinely helpful for staying consistent with micro habits.

One issue I keep running into as a frequent traveler: tallies appear to be tied to time zones rather than locked to calendar days. Because I move between time zones often, my historical data shifts - habits show as double-completed on one day and missed on another, even though I actually completed them once per day.

Ideally, once a tally is completed for a calendar day (e.g. February 1), that day should be permanently locked, regardless of later time zone changes. Right now, my habit history feels unstable when it should be fixed and reliable.

I wish I could submit this via the in-app support/feedback option, but that form doesn’t appear to work, so sharing it here instead. Would love to see this fixed as an update.

### 4/5 — So easy to use

*2026-01-15, version 1.27.0*

Great app, but I wish the premium version wasn’t so expensive! $60/year?! I’ve been using it for habit tracking and tracking spending. Intuitive and has appealing graphics.

### 2/5 — not worth it

*2026-01-08, version 1.27.0*

stupidly paid for some kind of bundle i thought would be worth it months ago. waste of money for the features available. it’s a simple app, which is fine, but when i clicked into ‘all plans’ in my apple subscriptions it turns out i’m paying for the most expensive one. and nothing tells me what this plan includes.

i also would really like to be able to sort my items by ‘last done’ but when i hit ‘last’ in the sort order, it seems to put them in some kind of random order. definitely not last to most recent or vice versa. could be worth it for you if you pay the most basic price but i’ve already cancelled my plan and will stop using it when it expires. just seems shady to me.

### 2/5 — Good tracker, paid for premium but no premium access

*2026-01-06, version 1.27.0*

I liked the tracker on the free trial and wanted to track more items. I paid for the premium version and when the premium options are selected it only offers to purchase premium again. Apple subscription shows I’ve paid. In the app it’s not registering or finding a restored purchase.

I’ve restarted the app and my phone. I’ve emailed support at the address suggested in the app and the one the dev posted here for another user with the same problem. No answers even given time off for the holidays. I’d love to continue using the app, but I might have to consider the money lost and find another app.

### 4/5 — Undo needed

*2026-01-04, version 1.27.0*

Wish there was an “undo” button for accidental clicks/tallies

### 3/5 — Suggestion

*2025-12-20, version 1.27.0*

Could you add an “edit” feature that if we accidentally tap a tally we can erase one number. Maybe a “shake to undo” or a simple “minus” button?

### 4/5 — Overall very good

*2025-12-17, version 1.27.0*

Overall Tally is a solid app. It has immensely improved how I track my goals and helps me become my best self.
A feature that would be helpful is if the app could live sync across devices connected to my iCloud account and not just backup to iCloud.

### 4/5 — Missing feature

*2025-12-14, version 1.27.0*

Very nice interface. Very useful. But a critical missing feature is the ability to export the data for analysis.

### 3/5 — Can't go back

*2025-12-02, version 1.26.6*

It's a cute app but I keep getting an extra tally by mistake and have to create a new one each time because it's impossible to correct the number or remove one to the count.

### 1/5 — Used to be great (no support)

*2025-10-14, version 1.26.6*

I used this app for years. It used to be great, and then it started to get buggy with freezing and lagging and hanging issues. They also stripped out the ability to export your metrics to CSV. I paid for the app and still got no support. I must’ve emailed them 10 times and never heard back. I switched to the Habit app.

### 1/5 — Scammy owners still in breach of contract succession obligations

*2025-10-07, version 1.26.6*

TL/DR: Owners kicked grandfathered users who bought the app when it was a one-time payment down to basic plan & demand a subscription for features those users already paid for. AFAIK this shouldn't be allowed by Apple Store. Full version: Imagine you could have bought a $1 composition notebook with 100 sheets to take notes about something for which one page per thing is completely enough for the next 15 years AT LEAST (checkmarks for one-time instance of a thing for which you'll have 200 checkmarks per thing TOPS, so it will fit on one page... one thing will probably extend to 400 instances, so that's two pages, and one thing is maybe a page per two years (so that's 8 pages for 16 years)). But you decide to spend $7 for this notebook to be digital and on your phone. So you buy an app that is a one-time $7 payment. The app gets bought by scammy operators who immediately introduce a subscription. This means that, having started notes on 22 pages, every time when you try to write something on page # 23, the notebook demands that you pay it $30 per year — and PREVENTS YOU from writing on page # 23. There was an outcry, and the scammy operators took a step back and grandfathered the users in. A couple of years pass, and the scammy operators decide they've had enough of keeping themselves to legal obligations of keeping the terms of the contract they've successed, and the notebook hangs out a poster of "pay me $30 per year" every time you open it, and of course extorts money when you try to start a new page of checkmarks. Even if the owners persist in their violation of contractual obligations, I will not buy a subscription. No notebook that you can use for 10 or 15 years costs $300. My needs can be covered by several notes in Apple Notes. == My review the previous time this happened: I paid $7 for premium in this app on the assumption it's not a subscription-based one. I wouldn't have bought it had I known it'd turn into a subscription-based app. This is bait-and-switch and unethical. The developer responds to reviews that mention the taking away of premium features that were supposed to be lifetime with brazen "Hi there" comments. In truth, I should have seen the signs in the fact that the dev was promoting a "growth bundle" of apps for "a better self", while the way to become better selves is to use fewer apps. It is apparent the dev is not out to add value but to milk people for what is in fact a very limited functionality (that they already paid for). This was worth $7 once. This is in no way worth a subscription.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Tryout

*2026-06-17, version 2.0.3*

There’s no way to try before you buy. I wanted to see how this worked on the Apple Watch to see how easy it might be, but I can’t try it out so I will not buy.

### 1/5 — Can’t export data

*2026-06-15, version 2.0.3*

I paid for this app with the intention to track things and occasionally export the data. At one point, maybe 1-2 years ago, I was able to export to Dropbox. Now the “Link to Dropbox” option is still there but it doesn’t do anything, it registers a tap but nothing happens. I have Dropbox installed and am logged in. Backing up to iCloud doesn’t actually give you a file you can use. Now I’m faced with the tedious task of having to manually input everything I’ve been tracking into a spreadsheet. As soon as I do I’ll be ditching this app for good.

### 1/5 — App completely stopped working

*2026-03-09, version 1.28.1*

I have been a Tally customer for years, and pay for the app. It entirely stopped working over a month ago — as in, literally none of the buttons in the app do anything anymore — and there is no way to reach anyone in Tally support. Do not download or purchase this app.

### 1/5 — Should be 0 stars

*2026-02-01, version 1.28.0*

The apps basic version only allows you to track 3 habits. If you want more you have to pay a $30/year subscription (if you pay for the discounted rate) to get “unlimited” but from other reviews I’ve read it sounds buggy once you pay for it. Other issue, if it works, you can’t undo any tallies you have, so if you accidentally add a tally to the wrong habit get wrekt your numbers will always be off. Should be simple to add a way to edit your tallies if needed and it would go a long way. And only giving 3 habits to track seems like it’s just a money grab. Save your money and time and use a different app.

### 1/5 — Beware!

*2026-01-04, version 1.27.0*

I was so excited to use this app, but now I will not recommend it to anyone. In the app, I received a promotional offer of $7.49 for a year of premium. I took it, because that seemed like a great deal. I was charged, and Apple showed my subscription in my subscription settings. My app still showed I had the free, basic plan, even after closing the app, restarting, and even giving it a day to see if it registered. Clicking “Restore purchases” says they can’t find a subscription.

No big deal, I’ll just contact app support. Surely they’ll help. Wrong. I’ve sent multiple requests AND included screenshots of both my subscription and the app saying I still have the basic plan. Silence. No response at all. Apple also will not refund me, so I’ve just given this company $7.49 for no reason. Thank goodness I didn’t pay full price.

### 1/5 — Scammers

*2026-01-01, version 1.27.0*

Paid for a yearlong subscription. App essentially stopped working, I deleted and redownloaded and they charged me again. Absolute trash and scammers, use one of the other million habit tracking apps out there.

### 1/5 — Scam app

*2025-11-03, version 1.26.6*

This app automatically asked me to sign up for premium which I did by accident I tried to cancel within one second but was unable to get a refund! The customer support buttons and contact buttons do not work in the app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!!

### 1/5 — Do not download

*2025-10-23, version 1.26.6*

I saw this on a substack so I downloaded it and paid and it is so buggy does not work you have to open and close the app multiple times to set a single goal. Do not download!! And do not pay. No free trial.

### 1/5 — Thievery

*2025-10-22, version 1.26.6*

I once was a big fan of this app — in fact, all the apps from this developer. Then they got greedy.

Their Growth Bundle provided reasonable pricing for all of their apps and I've been a subscriber for five years. But my recently-renewed subscription is no longer active in any but one of the 10 apps I use — and I'm being gouged to the tune of $340+ every year if I want to continue using them.

Developer support is nonexistent; my email messages are being ignored. Given the plethora of reasonably-priced apps that do what this app does, you're better off looking someplace else.

### 1/5 — add button is broken

*2025-10-18, version 1.26.6*

i try to press the add button when making a new thing to track, and it just straight up doesn’t work.

### 5/5 — I love this app!

*2025-12-07, version 1.27.0*

I don’t write app reviews so you should see this as high praise. I was looking for something to help me track medications that I take as needed. I needed to track what I took and when I took it with the ability to look back over time. This was the perfect answer! Thank you so much for filling my exact need.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-10-13, version 1.26.6*

Works as described, easy to use and helpful!

### 5/5 — Fantastic Anything Tracker App!

*2025-10-04, version 1.26.5*

I’ve been using the Tally “Track Anything” app for a couple of years now, and it has really helped me stay organized and consistent. I love how easy it is to add, remove, and customize what I want to track. The interface is simple and straightforward, but it’s incredibly effective at keeping me on track with my goals. I’ve never had any negative issues with it — just a solid, reliable app that does exactly what it promises.

### 5/5 — Feature request

*2025-10-02, version 1.26.6*

The app is great and the free version is suitable for most tracking a few things.

FEATURE REQUEST
Please make it possible to edit timestamps on previous tallys. When trying to track intervals, it would be helpful to be able to edit this.

### 5/5 — Needs an option to delete a Tally

*2025-08-14, version 1.26.5*

Love the app and concept. 5 stars would be if there was a way to delete /take away a tally if you accidentally press the button.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-05-22, version 1.26.4*

I track my joint pain on this app I love it

### 5/5 — Great for logging medication.

*2025-04-21, version 1.26.3*

Ready to use. Best counter app. Multiple counters. I keep track of gym visits, medication, etc.
