## What is Tallycart?

Tallycart is two things that belong together: the shopping list you take round the shop, and the running total that tells you what it is costing while you can still do something about it.

THE LIST
Everything you add files itself into aisles, so you walk the shop once instead of doubling back. Say it instead of typing it — tap the microphone and "two milks and a dozen eggs, eggs were 4.50" arrives as rows, with the quantities and the price already filled in. Paste a list out of a message and it splits itself up.

THE TOTAL, WHILE YOU SHOP
Tick things into the trolley and the number moves. Set a budget for the trip and see what is left at most — not a guess, because it costs the things you have not priced yet from what you paid last time. Go over and one tap shows you what you could put back to get under again.

ONE LIST FOR THE HOUSE
Start a family list and everybody in the house is on the same one, through a six-character code. No accounts, no email addresses, nothing to sign up for. What you tick, they see. Joining somebody else's list is free.

THE PANTRY
Mark what is running low as you notice it and it is waiting on the list next time. Tallycart also learns what you buy regularly and offers it back when it is about due.

PRICE MEMORY, FROM YOUR RECEIPTS
Photograph the till receipt and see, line by line, where it differed from your trolley. Those prices become what the app expects next time — the low, the typical and the high of what YOU pay, on the keypad while you are stood at the shelf.

SEVEN LANGUAGES
English, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified), French, German, Japanese and Brazilian Portuguese.

FREE, AND PRO
The list, the trolley, the budget and the suggestions are free and always will be, with a banner ad on some screens.

Pro is for the camera doing the typing and the history going deep: unlimited item and receipt scans, price per 100g or per litre, the month's spending on the Shop screen while you are in it, comparing prices between your shops, starting your own family list, every trip you have ever filed, unlimited bundles, aisle order learned from how you actually walk the shop, export as a spreadsheet — and no ads.

Pro is a subscription, and there is a free trial on the Pro screen. Restore Purchases is right there beside it.

WHAT LEAVES YOUR PHONE
No account and no sign-in — the app works the moment you open it. Photos you take for scanning an item, a receipt, a nutrition panel or a loyalty card are processed for that one request and not kept. Ads on the free tier are served by Google. Everything else — your list, your prices, your history — stays on your phone unless you choose to share a list.
