Update! ### 5/5 — Terrible service *2023-04-23, version 34.0.23* Pre-booked a taxi for a certain time and they got my taxi wrong and it never showed up then when I rang the operator they wanted me to pay for 2 cars and asked us to wait another 20minutes absolutely outrageous! Was recommended by family and this is what happens to new customers?! I notice lately that I get logged off involuntarily and I get a “whoops, you’re disconnected” message even when my mobile connection was good. (I even was listening to a podcast at one point) I twice called them and the dispatcher said that they hadn’t heard of the issue, and I even tweeted them and I heard nothing. I’m very disappointed as I have come to rely on Tameside Taxis more than any other taxi operators especially since First Bus seems to have an industrial action every week. If I could give 0 stars, I would. That’s how bad the app had become. ### 1/5 — Shocking new app *2021-04-01, version 33.2.3* Used Tameside taxis a lot but since the new app I’ve had nothing but problems. Booking taxis from the app at an exact location of which I’m obviously going to get right because it’s where I am only for the app to change it to a different location and then be told it’s me who’s booked it wrong. Drivers basically all agree the new app is awful as well. Definitely won’t be using them anymore mistakes have happened too often. ### 2/5 — Still improving the app, prices are still higher *2021-03-05, version 33.1.1* There are improvements to the app, like the addition of favourite addresses (which the old app used to have) where are you can at home and work. This is a great improvement. The app still has higher prices though than it used to, there has been no explanation as to why this is. Definitely starting to look into Uber if the prices are going to remain higher. ### 1/5 — Don’t upgrade your phone! *2021-02-21, version 33.0.15* If you up grade your phone and forget your details your screwed. Emailed the app people and the actually company. Response was update your password. Done the request and still had no email with how to change password and nothing in junk folder!! Not good when I always relied on this app. Didn’t like Uber as rides was always cancelled. So really disappointed in this app. Can’t phone as need to use card as well in this current time!!! ### 5/5 — App doesn’t work *2021-02-03, version 33.0.15* Since the update the app no longer lets you log in just keeps saying password and email don’t match and if you press forgot password you don’t receive the email to change password was a great app before the update ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — RIP off *2025-02-02* Booked a taxi. App stated taxi would be there in 3 min. It wasn’t. 6min later, it was still 3min away, 8min later it was still 3 min away and I was late for work. I cancelled the taxi and was charged a cancellation fee of £3. For a taxi that never came. Not only that the app will tell you that someone is on their way and then change to a different taxi making the wait even longer. This happened to me 4 times this morning. It makes me late for work. I have been ordering my taxi at 7am to set off at 7:50 but even now they are getting later than that. Very annoying. Another thing they all of a sudden cant find my address which iv never had a problem with before so i’ been having to walk to the taxi’s about 5 mins away. ### 1/5 — Useless *2021-12-04, version 33.4.27* Always useless cab never comes half the time and anytime you want to check where the cab is it makes u scroll the map up from Algeria useless wast of time ### 1/5 — App is good, company is awful *2021-09-10, version 33.4.18* App is very convenient but drivers don’t like it because you can pay by card so they will 99% of the time be rude. Waited 28 minutes for a taxi because none of them would accept me carrying my 12 week old puppy, in the end had to leave him with a neighbour.
