Переустановка не помогает ! ### 3/5 — Sooooo Slow *2026-04-19* Be prepared to stare at your phone for 5-10 seconds every time you open the app. But then it’s great. Just don’t try and use main outliner. ### 4/5 — Tana, oh Tana! *2026-01-05* Think about Roam research met Notion and had a baby 🫃🏼 That’s what you get with Tana. I’m not going to lie, the mobile app is an early stages and is not symmetrical with the desktop or Web app. But what the team have done essentially in this platform, his design designed something like Notion with the flexibility of Roam research. You get the graph based notes and linking things, but there’s also a very smart approach to databases for those notes called “super tags”. If notion is a relational database, then Tana is object oriented programming. It addresses one of the biggest pitfalls of Notion which is that you can’t inherit database properties for other types of things. And every note, or ‘node’ as they call them, lives in an entire endless map of your daily journal. You can collect things on that daily journal and pick them up with super tags to view them in a database view. You’d really have to try it to get what I mean. It doesn’t feel intuitive from the start if you want to dive into the complex features right away, but once you get to grips with it, you’re gonna wonder why you used anything else. Oh, and did I mention it has one of the best voice capture platforms for a note taking app on the market? They use a separate built-in AI framework to record your voice and transcribe it based on instructions that you can tell it for each type of “thing” you want to transcribe. Жду 🫶 ### 4/5 — New functionality brings some feature parity! *2025-05-21* May 2025 update (not a basic/general review—this is for current Tana users) I want to make sure folks don’t just see old reviews and think this is a super limited app compared to desktop—yes, there’s a ways to go, but since its rollout they’ve added basic references and in-line editing! It’s a solid MOBILE-first experience imho. Capture is just as quick and seamless as with the Tana Capture app, but now there’s solid ways to add structured data to your captures from mobile (most field types) and then edit/modify those captures. Plus, you can just start editing on the fly from any node in the app (Today, Home, a specific supertag, etc.). What I’d love to see Give Tana AI some love on mobile…it’s there in the app’s tagline. There’s a good but limited feature set that uses AI for voice memos, but seeing a more robust, novel, mobile-first implementation of AI would make Tana a cut above the rest. ### 3/5 — Need to add a few basic functionalities *2025-01-06* I cannot see any option to edit the notes directly. I don't know what could be the reason; kindly update that as soon as possible. ### 3/5 — Hoping for progress in 2025 *2025-01-05* Honestly, this app should have been held back until it was finished. Tana Capture, which gave no access to your information in Tana, but allowed you to capture quickly and thoughtfully was a far far far superior experience. This app changed entire workflows for voice note processing in such a way that feels like no one thought through the changes. As Tana has been shouting from the rooftops that voice is a first class citizen, this is very disappointing. Especially for paying users. Tana also really needs to begin providing actual support to its paying users. Tana’s small team means its docs are not always 100% current and asking the Tana fandom / commercial community for support can feel like going to Las Vegas. Tana team, here’s to hoping you can focus a bit better in 2024. Please undo the poor work done to voice memos. ### 4/5 — Decent so far, but needs improvement *2025-01-04* So far I am liking the update to the app. It is a little limited in the functionality compared to the desktop but it is a nice experience. Since no editing is allowed (which I know it is not difficult to code that into it) it would be good if we could have the notes offline since in the end they are read only. I think the app deserves more credit that what it has been given. ### 2/5 — Can't edit or delete nodes? *2024-12-11* Not sure if I'm missing how to do this on the mobile app but I'm unable to perofm any other action other than add content. Can't edit or delete nodes. Why can’t I just use my email? Weird. ### 1/5 — Not User Friendly *2025-07-02* It’s not user friendly or very useful. ### 1/5 — VERY limited use-case app. *2025-02-18* Unless I’m totally missing something, there’s no simple way just to sit down (eg on an iPad) and add notes and/or organize thoughts you’ve been building up inside a Workspace. Instead, this app is just a glorified ‘capture tool’… a voice recorder when on-the-go. Perhaps the design concepts were to “streamline” the user experience by focusing on that, but honestly, they could’ve simply added one more tab at the top just to let you work with your data - IMHO unnecessarily crippling useful access to your data, and instead forcing you to operate inside a web browser. Not a fan of that limited view. ### 1/5 — More of a companion app *2025-02-10, version 1.4.3* The most dishonest thing is using “ambassadors” to sell content and knowledge about how to use the app when those should be documented and of easy access. BTW, many of them are here giving 5 stars to a half baked app because they sell courses on how to use Tana. How could they criticize their livelihood, right? ### 1/5 — Can’t *2024-12-05, version 1.2.8* Can’t directly add nodes to a page you’re seeing. Can’t edit nodes. Cant add or remove tags from nodes. Can’t create a node with more than one tag. Can’t create a node with tagged child nodes. Can’t delete nodes. Can’t move nodes. Can’t search nodes using anything other than basic text matching. In short, this app can’t use Tana. ### 2/5 — I am considering switching to another app *2026-05-08* I keep getting th issue of saving local changes keep failing on my phone. And it took more than 5 mins to resolve. This is simpler unacceptable and make the app unusable no matter how much I initially like the app. ### 2/5 — currently useless… PLEASE FIX *2026-01-06* love the concept, love the desktop app, but the iOS app so far is useless… doesnt synchronise with my desktop and/or doesn’t properly load my notes. i keep getting stuck on the loading screen when i want to open a supertag and then after 30sec it takes me back to the supertag overview and no, my tana isnt super loaded, i am literally just implementing it into my daily life & workflow. hard to be convinced, if there are technical issues that keep you from implementing the tool… ### 2/5 — Awful mobile experience. *2025-10-18* Tana might be next gen some day but currently they have a mobile app that isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on. The mobile app is STILL missing essential functionality and Tana both admits this readily on Slack and says that there is nothing the can do about it for quite some time yet. This is in October 25. ### 2/5 — Misleading *2025-02-03, version 1.4.3* This mobile app doesn’t let you do a lot. It is a very basic version of the desktop app. I don’t know why they decided to make it seem like you can do all those things they show on the pictures. If you don’t have everything perfectly set up on the desktop app, you’re out of luck because you won’t be able do do much. Even adding text is limited. You can deleted things and edit stuff properly. There is a learning curve with the setup and supertags but then becomes very intuitive. but it’s already better and more dynamic than notion. Tana’s ability to customize and automate how my brain needs it to be is literally everything. No more wishing for this feature or that feature from different apps, all the right features are just a command configuration away and I’m blown away by how (relatively) simple they made it. I won’t lie, you need to be motivated and curious to set yourself up right, but it’s so worth it.
