Been on it since 12/2025. I have had to have a few replacements (2 pump replacements) but that wasn’t too big of a deal. Stuff happens, I get it. My biggest complaint is the fact that the app logs me out ALL THE TIME. MULTIPLE times a day sometimes. I’ve updated the app and the pump software and it keeps happening. I don’t always have an opportunity to throw it on the charger to re-pair it to my pump. So that’s pretty frustrating. Otherwise, I do love the Mobi. ### 3/5 — Wait Until the Next Version *2026-07-25, version 3.6.2* Version 3.6.2 consumes more battery on the iPhone. Also, it is ‘buggy’. Both mobi and t:slim have the same issue that my app drains my pump extremely quickly, causing me to have to redownload and connect. 2. Why does the Mobi, which is supposed to be an improvement, not have the same option to choose how long to disconnect for, up until an hour. I mean it goes off after 10 which isn’t enough to charge and isn’t even enough to shower and get dressed ### 4/5 — Love the Smaller Insulin Pump *2026-07-12, version 3.5.2* Love the smaller size insulin pump, love controlling everything from the cellphone. A minor issue was that the old TSlim app was disabled as soon as the Mobi app was installed. Hence I lost insulin on board. Please allow for 5 hours overlap for running both apps. The TSlim alarms when insulin delivery is stopped, making it difficult to keep old pump around for the few hours history. ### 3/5 — It’s great but I’m giving a picky review *2026-07-11, version 3.5.2* The app works as expected, but I would love to have widget options, square & rectangle. I want to see my IOB at a glance. Also, not to be hateful but I saw someone’s Omnipod app & I liked the bolus UX/design way better. But please, the widget 🙏 ### 3/5 — Convenient but annoying *2026-07-06, version 3.5.2* I want to start this review off by saying that the Tandem Mobi itself is amazing and makes injecting insulin and keeping track of blood sugar so much easier and more convenient. The problems come in when you look at the app itself, more specifically when it comes to the alerts. This thing will non stop spam you with loud beeps and buzzing and there is nothing you can do to stop it. You can turn off the beeps at least but that infuriating buzzing will never stop no matter what you do. I understand some of these alerts are important, but a lot of the time it will keep repeating the same alerts over and over and over again despite you having cleared them and it gets old very fast. Not to mention other design flaws such as the fact that that when you manually stop insulin flow, THE APP WILL BEEP AND BUZZ AT YOU AFTER A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME. This is beyond stupid, as there are many instances where you need the mobi to be off of your body for a long period of time and you obviously need to stop the insulin flow so it doesn’t leak and waste insulin but this stupid thing will not stop bothering you. This happens a lot when you try to charge it, because for some reason the people who programmed it didn’t have the foresight to turn off the buzzing while it’s literally charging. I ran out of supplies for new pumps and so I haven’t been able to connect it to my body and since this app is poorly thought out and poorly programmed, I had to manually make a new profile and set the basal rate to 0. There should just be a button that lets me fully shut the pump down in cases such as this, because it is absurd that I have to jump through all these hoops just so I don’t get kept up at night by buzzing every 5 minutes. ### 4/5 — Good app *2026-06-24, version 3.5.2* Overall the app is easy to use. It would be nice if you could see the main screen in a horizontal view like how the Dexcom app rotates. ### 4/5 — The alarm to put it back on… *2026-05-26, version 3.5.2* Look I get that everything needs alarms to make sure you wake up and such and it’s not the volume or the sound that’s weird it’s that the alarm still goes off while it’s charging. Like the alarm it gives telling you to put it back I ?if it’s on the charger OBVIOUSLY i don’t just have it off for no reason. I just think if it’s charging the alarm shouldn’t go off but if it’s not charging and it’s off then yeah let it go off. ### 3/5 — Mobi *2026-05-06, version 3.5.2* Slow to update anything. Needs more updates at in a quicker time frame and offer newer options sooner rather than later. While I love Mobi for its size it sucks with updates! ### 2/5 — Give us a silent mode. And let us fill our tubing without stopping. *2026-04-19, version 3.5.2* All in all I’m happy with the app. But please for the love of god give us the ability to shut the pump up. Not just vibrate, but a complete silent mode. Also, having to acknowledge yes or no if insulin has come out of the tubing when doing a site change is so unnecessary. ### 3/5 — Graph visibility *2026-04-06, version 3.5.2* Graph of bg needs enhancement. Green dots are hard to see they are so pale in color. Black dots would show up much better— or dark green. ### 3/5 — An ok app with glaring omissions *2026-03-30, version 3.5.2* This app is generally fine. It generally works consistently and includes most of the important functions it needs to: flexible boluses, temp basal rates, multiple profiles, etc. The pump itself can barely hold a bluetooth connection to the CGM and that should be an embarrassment to Tandem, but that’s separate from the issues with the app. I’d really like to see the following changes to the app, and I’m not the only one, judging by the many reviews here, and discussion elsewhere online: 1. Implement a snooze function for alerts! This is basic, vital functionality. After I’ve been alerted my bg is out of range and I’ve treated the low/high, it is just useless harassment to force me to continue clearing staggered, redundant CGM and Control IQ alerts. It won’t make insulin or sugar take effect any faster, and it’s especially disruptive to sleep. Even a twenty minute “I’ve treated my high/low” option would be a huge relief, though I’d prefer a system like the G7 app, which lets me choose how long I want to silence alerts. 2. Stop Control IQ alerts when bg is already high/low, they’re 100% redundant in those times. Look: It’s valuable to be told I may go low in the near future, but it’s just infuriating to get ongoing, staggered alerts saying Control IQ has “predicted” I’m going to go low when its already happened. 3. Change the dashboard CGM graph to eliminate the periodic labels which cover up the readings! Especially when trying to make treatment decisions I want to see the last several values, and a spiky bubble that covers up what I want to know doesn’t help anything. 4. Lastly, and much lower priority: Maybe the pump doesn’t need to vibrate for in-app actions like clearing an alert, saving changes, etc? It’s already annoying to have it buzzing at me, I don’t need extra buzzes to tell me I’ve successfully addressed the cause of the buzzes. I can imagine that those options might not be appropriate for every user to control - so put them behind a separate passcode or make them age restricted if need be. But it’s absurd for a responsible adult to not be able to snooze alerts. And PLEASE take these user requests seriously. Because of the nature of this app and our 24/7 dependency on it these things have huge impact on our quality of life. ### 3/5 — Need to store pump settings in app *2026-03-22, version 3.5.2* I like control iq. I don’t like the mobi. Since I’m averaging 2 pumps per year so far, it would be nice if the pump settings saved in the app to make replacement easier. It’d be even better to not need replacements but at least make this process easier. Otherwise the app is fine. I’m writing this after putting all my settings in a document in preparation for transferring to my second replacement/third mobi. ### 4/5 — Please Add Libre 3 Plus *2026-03-21, version 3.5.2* The pump is great and working well. A minor complaint is that I can’t set the alarm time when disconnecting the pump similar to the way the t slim works. Also, please add compatibility with the Freestyle Libre 3 plus also like the t slim. The Dexcom is not working well for me and the Libre 3 plus is great. ### 3/5 — When can the IOS26.3.1 system be adapted? *2026-03-17, version 3.5.2* When can the IOS26.3.1 system be adapted? ### 3/5 — 3 star *2026-03-14, version 3.5.2* It turned off my pump randomly I was off the app outside for about 20-30 minutes and when I returned inside and checked the app the insulin was off if you are gonna run a app like this make it work besides that the app is good but fix this now as what other glitches can there be if this keeps happening one day what if there is a glitch were it gives you to much insulin ### 3/5 — History *2026-03-05, version 3.5.2* It works pretty well but like someone else said- the amount of alerts/vibrations is annoying. And mostly would like to be able to see a daily totals of insulin, including bolus history of my insulin usage. As of now you have to go and add up each bolus. ### 4/5 — Want more flexibility with alerts when insulin is stopped *2026-03-04, version 3.5.2* Mostly this app is great. I find it mostly intuitive to use and it does what I need it to do in order to easily control my blood sugar. However, my biggest complaint is the alarm that goes off when insulin is stopped. There doesn’t seem to be any way to change that alert to anything other than going off every 15 minutes. I would like to be able to set how long I want the pump to wait before alerting me, because there are situations in which I would like to keep the pump disconnected from my body for longer periods of time, like a long shower, swimming, or intimacy, and I don’t want to be interrupted every 15 minutes (or more often if I haven’t acknowledged the alert) during those times. Can you please add the feature for us to be able to customize the timing of those alerts? ### 2/5 — Works often but not all the time… *2026-02-24, version 3.5.2* Seems to disconnect from cgm at least 30% of the time, regardless of where my phone is and even when it’s 2 inches away. Makes it very hard to use control iq and manage diabetes. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — BEWARE you need two apps *2026-07-17, version 3.6.2* I have to have the Dexcom app as well as this app. This is supposed to function as Control IQ for better BG control but because your app loses range AAAAAAALLLLL the time it barely functions as this. The Dexcom App NEVER loses range. I would get with them and see why they’re so much better than you. Tandem needs to step it up. You obviously,once again, put out a pump that wasn’t ready. ### 1/5 — Vibration causes it to move off charger and makes too much noise *2026-03-22, version 3.5.2* The vibration is super loud and there is no way to silence it. We already have alerts from the cgm so the vibration on the pump is extra and it burns the battery faster. It will not sit on the charger because when you stop insulin to charge it it vibrates nonstop and it moves off the charger. ### 1/5 — iPhone 17e *2026-03-19, version 3.5.2* Not compatible with iPhone 17e yet. I spoke to apple who said it is compatible on their end since I can download the app but that tandem isn’t allowing it to go through yet. Please help with this. ### 1/5 — Connection *2026-03-18, version 3.5.2* My pump keeps losing connection I’ve had so many issue with tandem since I’ve started using it very irritated…… ### 1/5 — Infuriating design choices *2026-03-14, version 3.5.2* I use this pump because it’s what my insurance covers and it’s what I have, but the alarm system on this thing makes me wish I didn’t have to. There are two high alarms when control IQ is on, BUT the second one always goes off after a genuinely random amount of time, so if I wake up in the middle of the night to a high alarm, I have to wait an indiscernible amount of time for the second one to go off. This problem has brought me to the point where I sometimes just been sleep without my pump, which I know is dangerous and not sustainable long-term, but I also have to rest well at some point. Additionally, the “find Paired Pump” alarm used to be really loud, but after a software update in ‘24 or ‘25, it became the QUIETEST sound this pump makes. I’d love to talk to whoever made that decision because why is the seeking noise the QUIETEST sound the pump is capable of?!? It USED to be loud!!! Why did we change that?! Just some super strange design choices I am BEGGING you guys to change: make the Control IQ high alarm go off at a consistent time after the first high alarm and please make the find my Paired Pump alarm louder ### 1/5 — Haven’t slept since getting this pump *2025-12-24, version 3.5.2* There’s no way to turn off the alarm, and it’s constantly going off because it can’t connect to the CGM or the phone. God forbid you live in a place where you need a jacket, because the pump can’t connect to your phone. Least you toss and turn when you sleep and face the opposite direction of your phone, because the pump can’t connect to your phone and wakes you up the whole night. I haven’t gotten a decent sleep since getting this forsaken thing. I’m terrified of going to a movie and eating popcorn because it’ll buzz and disturb people the entire 2 hours because it senses your blood sugar going up. I just straight up stopped connecting my cgm to this pump so it’ll give me some peace, which completely negates the control IQ. I hate this thing, ### 1/5 — fix your bad software *2025-12-11, version 3.5.2* least customizable notification settings in the world, does not allow user autonomy over something that is CONSTANTLY ATTACHED TO THEM. there NEEDS to be a way to silence certain notifications. WHY is there no way to even put control IQ alerts on vibrate only at best???? control IQ alerts are also annoying and redudant given that it runs off of the user's CGM.... which gives them notifications but far, far far far less annoying because you can customize them. unlike the tandem mobi. additionally, there NEEDS. TO. BE. an easy to access place to see what phone update is compatible with the app if you're going to tell us during training that we can't update our phone unless the app is up to date, or else WE WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO OUR INSULIN PUMP. the user needs to know!!!!!!!!!! i haven't updated my phone since i got this pump. biggest mistake of my life. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2025-12-06, version 3.5.2* It’s horrible. You are asked for faceID to unlock at least half of the features. When requesting insulin, Confirm is at the top corner which is very unconvenient when golding phone in one hand. Next, tons of unnecessary signals and vibrations that deain the pump’s battery. You start to charge it, the pump/app starts to send me signals that insulin is shut off (well yeah, cause I am charging the pump!)- that is not thought through. Same for high or low glucose alerts, I receive one alert from pump then one from Control IQ. What kindof logic is that to duplocate the signal??? People at work think I have a dildo in my pants vibrating. Dumbest device ever. Can’t wait to get back to regular insulin kwikpens. Oh, yeah, that Control IQ seems to have 0 IQ. ### 1/5 — Horribly developed *2025-12-01, version 3.5.2* This app drove me back to my Omnipod, as I nearly lost every shred of sanity dealing with it. The reauthenticating every time you shift menus, get insulin, pause insulin, restart insulin. Jesus. You authenticate to get into the app; that’s safe enough. Alerts for everything that can’t be turned off, even though you can already get them through a cgm. Overall, might be a great pump, but can’t stay on it long enough to find out with how not user friendly this app is. ### 1/5 — Update the APP! *2025-09-29, version 3.5.2* I bought my lovely wife an IPhone 17 as a gift…found out she can’t use it because the app will not work for anything higher than 16. I love wearing it and control IQ is working its magic most of the time. My last A1C was 6.8 in April. This is my best pump so far. I’m eating 2 meals a day. I’m able to go out for a one hour walk on the beach every day with perfect nos most of the time. Night time nos are always perfect. Will update my A1C when I have another one.
