Great inspiration, patterns and tangles you van build on. ### 3/5 — Eh *2016-01-14, version 1.1.2* This app is cool but not the best. I definitely feel cheated of $5. I feel like .99 would have been a better price for this app. For several reasons. 1. Once you buy the app you only get about 20 free patterns, after that you have to buy them which stinks since you've a learnt bought the app. 2. The set up isn't as nice as other zentangle apps I've seen. The tangle patterns are illustrated in a manner that is easy to understand. The results give a wonderful sense of accomplishment in a short period of time. There are only 40 designs included on the app and one of those is a drawing of a face. I just started doing zentangles, but I thought there weren't supposed to be any realistic representations? However the guides come up short on steps. If all you need for inspiration is seeing example this should work, but if you want to be shown step by step the whole example don't count on this. Maybe even some color. I'd like to see more than just the constructing of the doodle itself, like how I can grow on that tangle. My job (my joy) is making art with all the different media available. But I need to use someone else’s artwork and my light box to do so. I LOVE tangles—I can draw with them. This is a grand book of tangles. I use it often—not for commercial work, obviously, but for self fulfillment. ### 5/5 — Wow! This is a must get *2018-09-19, version 1.1.4* Love Sandy’s books and this app is a great way to save money instead of buying the cards. The tangles are very inspiring. After playing around with a few of them, I was able to go in completely different directions. The step outs were clear and very well done done, she really paid attention to every detail, the shading was on point. If you’re looking for a Zentangle app that will get your creative juices flowing and is well made, this is the app for you. I have them all, and this is the best. This take the tangles on the go with me. I always have a small notebook and little pack of pens in my purse. I consult the app with the various tangles and step-by-step instructions to get inspiration. I purchased an additional add-on and it integrates perfectly with the original app, listed alphabetically by tangle name. Great value! ### 5/5 — Great tangles... Even greater tangling resource! *2016-05-13* I have a number of Sandy B's books but I love this app even more as it's always with me on my phone and iPad. If you enjoy tangling anywhere, this is a must-buy for portable inspiration and instructions. Only wish you could pay only once (at a higher rate) and get an "all tangles" version.
