Until recently the scoring function served a purpose - to allow a player to see how different tactics compared to other approaches. Now you just get 350 points if you win a scenario. WAY less interesting. ### 4/5 — Two player *2021-10-18* There is no two player why..... ### 3/5 — Not nearly as bad as most other hexwar games *2019-05-03* The content is a little light, and some of the levels cannot be completed at the higher levels (why hexwar NEVER beta tests is a mystery to me), but overall is this a decent effort. If some capable designers took this over, it could be made into a first rate sim game pretty easily, perhaps in less than a day. ### 4/5 — My “Go-to” turn based tactical fix *2018-01-31* For over 5 years I have been enjoying Hunted Cows (Hexwar’s) games on 3 different iPads. This is the right size for brief skirmishes that don’t mandate a huge time commitment, as sprawling strategic campaigns with logistics, morale or weather variables. Great job Hexwar! We need your version of ‘Panzer - Perfect General’ remake in Korea. ### 4/5 — Good, But Still Has a Problem *2017-06-16* I own over a dozen hexwar games, and enjoy them all. But each one has the same problem--if you are unable to win a particular mission, the follow-on scenarios for that particular game will be inaccessible. A real problem if you cannot win #3, and there are nine more after it you cannot play. ### 2/5 — Fun game but content is disappointing *2017-05-19* Typically expect a paid game to keep you entertained for a few weeks. But with this game, you'll be through with the very small amount of content that comes with it in a few hours and then the purchase is worthless. You can buy more content but it's the same price as for the original game. Waldfeucht is impossible on the hard and standard settings. Not as much armor in the scenarios as I expected. I don't know I'm not happy was looking for good tank battles not impossible odds with inf against enemy tanks ### 4/5 — Tank Battle *2016-08-18, version 1.4* Nice game and a great way to kill time ### 3/5 — Tank Battle 1945 *2016-08-16* Ok, need to go back and check some pre-scenario info and "guidance" on many of the Soviet vs German campaigns (I.e. Wulkow game the reinforcements will enter on the west, didn't, came in on east, and to late in game to reach final control point). German reinforcement came in from both sides! Crashes and will not open. Worthless. And it used to be a fine game. Shame! ### 1/5 — You Get TWO Campaigns, Then You Need $$$ *2017-12-24* Neat game, played previous versions. This game gives you 2 small campaigns and then you need to buy ALL additional campaigns, each requires another purchase. At least two scenarios either lock up or give me a defeat when I win. One level refuses to allow you to go further even though you've won while another level just freezes every time at the third turn of the app. No I'm not going to be your beta customer in future. ### 1/5 — Fix the Bugs *2016-08-09* Update 8/8 - Bugs are still not fixed. Soviet campaign hangs up on scenario 3. I love Hex War games. I've spent more money on them over the last few years than any other developer and have generally bought them as soon as they come out. The bugs in this one however are over the top leaving several scenarios unplayable and at least one that I've been able to find unable to complete because the game gets hung on the enemy playing and never reverts back to the player. I'm disappointed. Hold off on buying this one until balance and bugs are fixed. ### 1/5 — Bigger than ever Bugs *2016-08-08, version 1.0* The game looks great as usual Hex War has a great idea , great graphics and the worst programming on the planet. Of all the games from the company this has more bugs than Most all others combines. Do not buy until they fix this mess.
