It seems impossible to me, and I can win most other missions in Standard mode. Either there is a secret I'm missing, or it's just impossible. ### 3/5 — Good game up to the point it gets stuck *2018-02-26* The scenarios included in basic package are great. But the second task in the “Dark days” scenario gets stuck. I destroyed more than half of enemy units before reinforcements arrive, so should have won, but it just continues. Googling, I found similar issues experienced by other players, including one, who destroyed all enemy units and went on for 10 rounds waiting, but still stuck. Annoyed I paid extra for this and can only play one round. ### 3/5 — Good until Breakout!! *2017-08-26* Fun game until Breakout #6 Attrition. This module sometimes gives me reinforcements in a timely manner, but mostly doesn't. Impossible to win without them. Even with reinforcements it's proven impossible to achieve. And this is at Casual non-historical/historical level. The A.I. plays defensively. Well, I guess I'll just play everything else I can, and then delete the app. No sense spending anymore money, no matter how inexpensive. However, the total lack of Allies air support, especially during the landing scenarios is both ahistorical and makes it really tough. Also, the inability to reconfigure organizations, such as putting engineers up front, makes it difficult to employ them. Lastly, as others have commented, I this entire series of games, from Ancient times on, there is no way to skip to another scenario if you cannot win a previous one. I have a dozen scenarios spread across multiple games that I paid for but cannot play. ### 4/5 — Normandy *2017-05-21, version 1.11* Fun little game! ### 2/5 — Can't play all the scenarios you paid for *2017-03-23, version 1.11* Unless you win a battle, you cannot play the next one. So if one is too hard, then you can never play any others. Why lock the scenarios? Panzer General and Allied General although old windows 95 games have better playability. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — PAID FOR GAME AND REINSTALL WANTS ME TO PAY AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!! *2023-12-16, version 3.1.5* A shame as in their Civil War 1863 game, I had purchased Tank battle Normandy and only deleted it because they don’t offer a reset on stats. So i get to the fourth challenge of 11 already purchased, and they want me to pay $15.92 to purchase what I already owned and just played. No updates were required or even announced. A case of unmitigated unjustified money grab and I will consider this a personal campaign to shine a light on the scam until it is rectified. ### 1/5 — No way to win *2019-12-01* Did you even test it before releasing? The first German vs US mission, plane just keep bombing the kingtiger and there’s absolutely no way to counter it. ### 1/5 — battle field ratio! *2019-08-10* I’m not sure what the heck you guys did when you updated these scenario’s but your force ratios are all out of whack! I really don’t mind that the opposing force want to attack all the time, even when they are “supposed to be defending and The causal game aren’t really casual anymore🙁 ### 1/5 — Update problems *2019-05-31* Great game but one update reduced the size of the map to a postage stamp and when you try to increase magnification it’s still too small on an iphone 6 to play. I gave feedback but no satisfactory response. ### 1/5 — Could be good with a little quality control *2019-04-29* Early maps are incredibly long and overly complicated - as well as extremely difficult on the hard level. After that, they balance out. Had hex war done any beta testing at all, they would have realized they are scaring off future buyers with maps that take almost an hour to complete, and even then are almost impossible to win. The final map, "fortified," is apparently an Easter egg: it is mathematically impossible to win this on the hard level. Had they included it as a "bonus challenge" or something, that would have been ok, but to treat it as an actual map is insulting - people waste their time not realizing this is a joke. Hence the one star. Update: I thought that I’d give the game a try after a year, to see if any progress had been made. On the contrary, the morons who run this game actually made it worse! Now there are levels that can’t be completed even on the “casual” setting. Apple need to remove this developer from iTunes. ### 1/5 — Since new update *2018-12-29* Cant deploy troops off landing craft to land. Will not let me select option to offload once at beach and door has dropped ### 1/5 — Broken Mission Kommerscheidt *2018-05-12* Good game but don’t buy any of the extra missions because some of them are completely impossible. An example would be Kommerscheidt in the No Retreat campaign. You might buy a poorly thought out mission that’s impossible even on easy that will block you from the other missions you purchased. ### 1/5 — Stalls & then crashes *2016-03-24, version 1.10* Buggy....stalls out then crashes. Even in casual mode it will keep you engaged for each scenario. The complexity is there so you can play scenarios over and try different strategies of being super aggressive or defensive and many options in between. There are enough variables like air support that you can’t get comfortable and have to keep thinking ahead. I have played their other tank games and this is a step up. ### 5/5 — Commander you’re in charge -Fun, Challenging, great on Ipad *2017-10-14* Commander, so Many different and excellent missions for you to master, each lasting approx 20 minutes (if you are not defeated). When I need a quick energy jolt during a low energy point in the day or when I wake each morning, I do a quick new mission with my iPad / Iphone to get the blood and brain cells fired up. This was very buggy when it first came out, but I am not having trouble with all of the crashes etc any more. Massive, realistic beach attacks give you a feel for grand strategy - from landing craft to defenses to varieties of troops and weapons. Impressive. ### 5/5 — One of the better ones, and they're all good *2016-06-22, version 1.10* Normandy is my personal favorite. I keep going back. Rebels and Redcoats is a close 2nd.
