This fascinating New Zealand game was invented in 1988 and has since won numerous awards worldwide for its quality, beauty and elegance. It consists of 56 unique hexagonal tiles connected by red, green, blue and yellow paths. Players must try to block or control their opponents path-colour while simultaneously growing their own. Online Tantrix has been available for nearly 20 years, and now with this app you can compete against the international Tantrix community on your mobile. Or challenge the resident robot opponent to a game anytime! Tantrix is simple enough to learn, yet with the possibility to be infinitely complex. App page opens a web page that’s difficult to navigate without a mouse. Gave up trying to figure it out when I couldn’t get a game going. ### 3/5 — Drained my battery *2017-01-17, version 1.48* ....brought the tile version but we really struggled with the rules (the booklet the game with needs some work - we eventually found online rules and this app. The app didn't help because it drain my iPhone 7 battery and made it really hot. Removed the app and everything went back to normal. It would be really good if the app on Mobile devices worked standalone (not everywhere has a network connection). Once we got the hang of the rules with physical tile game we had loads of fun on holiday.
