A great little app for audio engineers. Simply tap a quarter note on the "Tap Here" button and you will instantly know the beats per minute of the song, and also the appropriate milliseconds for musical notes for your delay effects! A great application for use the studio and live performance. You can also set the temp via a slider or tap the BPM label to input the tempo straight from a keyboard. After upgrading my phone to the XsMax the home screen of the app doesn’t render properly. It’s very difficult to read the screen. App needs an update!!! ### 3/5 — Smaller increments! *2018-02-22* Oh no! It won’t get small enough with divisions. Things like pre-delay need to get to the 10s and 20s. I have a cut time song at 100bpm, I upped the app to 200bpm but it still only gets to 75ms. I wouldn’t even be writing this if I hadn’t paid for it. Tempo and delay times update on every 2nd tap thereafter until 'Reset'. ### 1/5 — Doesn't Work! *2011-08-21* I AM an audio engineer and I wanted to simply be able to tap this to get the milliseconds so I can programme delay units with no tap function. Pretty basic request for a tap delay app. The first time you tap, it works . Then the next time , it spends god knows how long thinking about it "calculating..." If you reset it, via the bizarre BPM- clear button (which is not made clear as it's not a button , just the letters BPM, then you can tap again.. Although just the once. ALSO... It's inaccurate at faster speeds- for instance I couldn't tap any faster than around 400 milliseconds, which is crazy, since on a normal tap delay I can get down to 80 milliseconds. That's when I finally gave up. No point buying something that doesn't do the job. A complete waste of money. Oh, and I'm not a person who thinks all apps should be free- I will pay good money for tools that help me do my job. Yet there's flexibility to move beyond the "tap" option and to type in the BPM, or to use the slider to find my desired BPM to calculate milliseconds of musical delay.
