Drove to a different one, this time it authorised on my card but wouldn’t start the charge. Total waste of time. App deleted. **Developer response:** Hi Gold-soundz, we're sorry you had a bad charging experience with us! While Tap handles the charger payments, issues with the internet connection or charger hardware (which we suspect is what stopped you from charging this time) is managed by charger owners. At Tap, we take full responsibility for ensuring our network is reliable, and we're working with owners all the time to make sure drivers can get a charge when they need it. We've already flagged this specific issue with East Lothian. We hope you'll give us another try, aside from East Lothian chargers you'll also find Blink, Ionity, Fastned on our map. ^ KT ### 1/5 — Awful *2025-05-21, version 1.119.0* Always 3 or 4 out of 5 won’t work end up re parking multiple times. ### 3/5 — A pain to start with *2025-05-15, version 1.119.0* Three chargers in a row could not get the app to identify which one to use ,bar code reader didn’t seem to work Also kept telling me I 1500 metres away from the charging point. RFID tapkey was playing up on the first day or so after I received it, turned out it was the provider rather than tap that was at fault. This app solved it all finding charge stations, compared prices and allowed instant setup to pay for charging via Apple Pay.
