Have to juggle between different screens to achieve or to the next step, have to hit the back arrow to go to the next section. Was $5 each and now for a yr it’s been $7.50 each. If it goes up again I’ll look elsewhere. Works good but there’s better apps out there though. I have been using Tap from the early days. I’ve grown along with Tap making it the easiest system. Adaptable, easy to make changes, support has been excellent. I had to cancel my credit card, and start over. There’s nobody to talk to, this is just a Web based company. The end result is very professional and easy for the reader to follow and understand. it’s great to go home and not have to worry about finishing a report. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Greed *2026-07-12, version 8.2.2* Charged me $150.00 to send a single report after my trial had ended. I opted for their $7.50 option, then the turn around and add $150.00 and say it’s a start up fee. Companies these days are rooted in absolute greed and see nothing but dollar signs. I understand a start up fee but making it X15 of what the customer wants is pure and corrupted greed. Won’t be using this app anymore. And may just start typing up reports on my own and develop my own app with how greedy this company is. The owner of this company deserves to get cussed out to his face ### 1/5 — Miserable customer service *2024-09-15, version 7.1.14* Terrible customer service, coupled with a unreliable and inconsistently performing app equals a terrible experience as a whole. After several issues (on more than one occasion) with the app (such as editing, publishing, and payment) verbally speaking with a representative is apparently out of the question. After a glitchy process of back and forth emailing the representative was not helpful and rude. I was going to ask for a manager, when I noticed that I was talking with the co-founder and realized I’m S.O.L. I would not recommend this software to anyone. ### 1/5 — Android version *2024-06-03, version 7.1.13* I’ve been told for 4 years there was going to be an android version. All items I have are android based. I had to buy an iPad just for this program and can never access when I don’t have my iPad with me. I have closed my business and they were supposed to delete my account over two months ago. They keep telling me we’ll get it in a couple days and it’s been several months. Very very disappointed with their customer service. The new update is absolutely terrible. Not worth even a dollar a month subscription! I do miss the old version that was much easier to navigate and was functional. This app doesn’t work with the latest update on both. I have uninstall the app and reinstall the app. Please update so the app can open. ### 1/5 — Expansion *2021-11-26* Tap inspect used to be a wonderful home inspecting software system until the last update and expansion into other areas. Tap Inspect no longer integrates with ISN because they started their own scheduling service called auto pilot. Logically it means you have to switch to autopilot and lose the ability to use ISN to have an online scheduler and agent dashboard which makes the repair or replace list easy for agents. I’ll lose agents with out that service. “We do intend to rebuild the ISN integration to work with the new app experience but it is not a top priority right now. We have far more Autopilot users than ISN users. There are also more Autopilot jobs than ISN jobs. It is a pretty big technical undertaking that will divert resources away from our core product and services. When it comes to features and development we tend to thing in terms of Now (in progress), Next (3 to 6 months), and Later (about a year). It’s easy to use, highly customizable, and provides a polished, professional impression, which is important since it will reflect my brand. I can already tell it’s going to save me a ton of time during consultations and when putting together final reports. The training and support have also been top-notch, making the whole experience even better. I contacted Michael and he was able to retrieve the photos for me and kept me from an embarrassing return to retake the inside photo of an electrical panel. He had it back to me within an hour of sending him the email. This home inspection app has saved me numerous hours with my business, it allows me to get done and actually spend time with my family. Glad to see progress is being made. Over the last year, I have been using a competitors software however I am now going to be coming back to Tap Inspect. 👍🏼 ### 5/5 — Nice upgrade *2023-04-18, version 7.0.0* Version 7.0 is a very nice upgrade. The photographs are much higher quality. It was a smooth transition upgrading. If I had to gripe my only complaint is the new version doesn’t allow the home inspector to enter his email address and have it automatically remembered for the next inspection. I like to send the inspection report to my business email address and save a PDF copy on my computer. I then send the PDF file to my client. It’s a pain to have to enter my email address every time I publish my report.
